Lord Shadow

Chapter 1942 1942: New Chapter

None of them probably. Loki thought to himself, the River Keeper has no rivals in the Omniverse.

But most living beings would not know the existence of this being. After all, he is just guarding the river and never care much about anything other than that river.

Which is better.

If any of the reason he thought was true, then the River Keeper could easily blocks any of those three from meeting. Changes space and time here and there, changes routes of teleportation, freeze and unfreeze time, there is all kinds of methods that the River Keeper could do if that was really the case

But it is not.

Instead, the River Keeper seems to wait for the Child of the End to enter the tunnel of time and space before making any moves.

This is what makes him unable to see the true cause and effect of this matter.

As for the Songs, the colors and the breeze that is blowing in the garden, he could guess why.

There is a new story brewing. Hence, a new Song is sung, new colors are produced and a new wind is blowing

One of those new stories would surely involve the River Keeper. After all, this is the only significant new things that have happened since this timeline begins

New things have been appearing. So how could he not be hopeful

He waited for an answer.

The River Keeper casual action could destroy countless universes and galaxies.

The only one who can stop the River Keeper right now would be The Writer.

The Writer look back at his typewriter.

Loki also look at that typewriter.

And he could see there is words and letters on the paper on the typewriter

But he could not read it yet.

The letters sometimes rearranged itself, with each alphabet also changing every time.

Sometimes, it is alphabet that he recognizes sometimes, it is an alphabet even he could not understand

He only takes a glance at it and did not look too long at the content of the paper that is in the typewriter

After all, he above all people knows how dangerous it is to be enthralled by that writing. If you look too long at it, he would get splitting headache. There is a possibility that his persona could also split up

Then, that would be a complication in itself. Loki is not here to read the draft that the Writer wrote.

Even if he wanted to read it, the story is not yet complete.

So, he could not read it yet.

The Writer closes His eyes for a moment and then there is a smile on his face. He nodded and then waves his hand. Loki suddenly found himself out of the house, in front of the house, looking at the closed door.

The wind blew his patched clothes sleeve and then he got an understanding. The Writer would not let the River Keeper to run amuck.

The Child of the End, would still be the Child of the End. It means the Child of the End would survive this.

”Always little words” he complained a bit. The Writer rarely speaks. Not many people could bear His words. But it was not like He was in his divine form right now. Taking the form of the old man, a mortal old man, if He says anything it would not unravel the universe

But He still is quite reserved with His words

”I just need to make sure that the river would not flood to the shores of the river. It would be a catastrophe if there is a flood”

Just like his garden is not really a normal garden, that river is not a normal river. Loki then walk back to his garden.

Inside the study, the old man look back at the typewriter and smiles

[The Trickster of Asgard enters the White House at the End and knocks the door. A question gnawed his heart]

The old man look at what he writes and shakes his head. He is not satisfied with what he wrote and wrote again.

The sound of the typewriter being pressed echoes across the Omniverse.

Those who could hear it would hear Songs, those who could see it, could see a new hue of colours, and those who could feel it, could feel the new wind blowing all over the Omniverse

…

Azief opens his eyes.

Slowly.

Not because he deliberately slowing it down but because right now, all the sensation he could feel is the fatigue. It took him some time to ascertain his own existence.

He actually does not need to open his eyes to see his shrouding. That is because he could use his Divine Sense

But now, he could not mobilize his Divine Sense. Because he is drained of all energy.

This body is just finished forming.

Fortunately, enough, he was not pulverized completely.

”One good thing out of the many things” he thought to himself

He remembers some things. Glimpses of what happens and as his eyelids is about to open more and more memories fills his mind

And then he opens his eyes and all the memories of what happened is now clear in his head

The moment he opens his eyes, he notices there is a large fish the size of a large crocodile is looking at him.

No, it was sniffing him like it was determining whether he was food or something else. Azief look around him and he notice that he is in the bottom of the sea.

But it must not be that deep considering he could still see the sun from his current position.

”Maybe around the edges of the shore of an island” he thought to himself

He close his eyes for a second. His eyebrows raised up and his forehead crunched. He is thinking of something

No, not thinking. Reorganizing.

”There is a lot of things I need to remember. It would be a waste for me to forget things”

Then the memories came. From his childhood, to his teenage years.

Then it sped up, like a recap of everything that had happened. The highlight reels of his life

After all, this is not the part of memories he wanted to remember right now.

What he wanted to remember was the conversation he had with Wargod. Things he had seen and experience with the Divine Monkey and Odin.

And then he remembers what happened.

”That hand” he thought to himself. Was it a hand? For a moment Azief himself is not sure? Now that he recall, even though it was in the shape of hands, his mind seems to think of those hand as something terrifying

It is just a hand. Yes, a powerful hand that swept all of time and space but nonetheless a ”hand”

The hand was gigantic but it was like it was the first time Azief encountered gigantic hand.

No, there was something else about that hand that elicit such terror in him. It is like he was staring at the truth of the Omniverse just by looking at that hand

Like he had seen a glimpse of the true nature of everything. And that what makes his heart palpitate so much. The Truth of Everything

It is like you are about to find out something so momentous that you have two contradicting feelings in you.

A moment of confirming the truth and yet at the same time, the fear that by knowing the truth, everything would change and it would change you inside out

”That hand seems to hold the Truth of Everything”

That is why it shakes him to his soul.

He sighed and then thought about the tunnel.

The memories here are sketchy.

He had done his best but his landing site was not where he was supposed to land.

He knows that much

”I set the coordinate just right”

Of course, this coordinate could not be found by numbers.

Some people called numbers as the universal language.

That is human limitation. Human mind trapped by the dogma of the circumstances and laws and rules of Earth

Because they deny magic, they of course could not entertain magical rules and laws.

If in the past, one look at thunder and thought of deities, which is the extreme of thought pushing toward magical explanation, the modern world look at everything through data, which is the extreme of thought pushing toward logical explanation

So, when they look at the universe, they could not see past through the façade of Earth. When the rules are so different from them, they could not perceive these lives even if they are not in front of them

Unseen, intangible, unproven energy.

Yet, those who believe in it, could use it. It is the most illogical thing…. if….it is a human looking at it.

The more abstract a thing, the more the laws of physics donʼt apply.

No, it is not quite accurate to say that laws of physic doesnʼt apply.

It just a different kind of law.

A magical law

And magic depends on the heart. It is not so much as longitude and latitude, but more of a feeling

Strong feelings of home. And home was where he wanted to be. He is quite sure…no, he is sure that the destination was Earth

He was quite focused at that time.
