Tempura.

Such a definitive conclusion shocked not only him but also the Chef Demons in the audience.

What the hell? Suddenly turning fried chicken into Tempura? Even though both are fried goods, isn’t this nonsensical talk a bit much?

But when Johnny’s smile stiffened slightly, everyone couldn’t help but believe it a bit.

Could this really be, damn it, Tempura?

Indeed, if one looked at it from this angle… all the batters on the fried items were extremely thin, and furthermore…

When the onlookers gazed down upon the box in Guo ShouQue’s hands, they were astonished to find not a single drop of oil at the bottom of the white paper box!

And observing the even cooking temperature, there was no doubt that, within such a short frying time, all the ingredients were fully cooked.

Just by looking, one could tell the taste would be exceptional.

”I haven’t heard of Tempura in industrial cuisine, Mr. Kujikane.” Guo ShouQue scrutinized the chicken leg in his hand, then, smiling, he raised his eyes. ”Does this count as rebellion against your sect?”

”This is called pioneering and innovation.”

Johnny held his head high proudly. ”As a disciple, if one only adheres to the old ways and walks the path laid by the teacher, they’re less useful than a two-hundred-dollar fryer. So why bother being a Chef Demon!”

”You’ve spoken the same words as my students.” Guo ShouQue raised an eyebrow, examining the fried chicken Tempura in his hands. Soon, he spoke up, ”If I’m not mistaken, this should be a unique method from the Ryukyu region, right?

Such a remarkable fusion, Johnny Ju Zhijian! The future of industrial cuisine will shine brightly because of you. I can feel your Master’s satisfaction.

To be able to perfectly blend two distinctly different cuisines like this, truly worthy of America!”

Such admiring praise, yet it didn’t bring the slightest bit of joy.

Being watched by those eyes, it felt as if no secret could be hidden.

Even the source of his creativity was seen through completely…

Johnny Ju Zhijian felt no fear nor unease; rather, he became even more excited.

An opponent like this truly made the challenge enjoyable!

”Saw through me, did you?”

Johnny nodded. ”That’s right. This brand-new Exon fried chicken meal uses the approach of industrial cuisine in its preparation method, but the way it’s made comes from my hometown.

Though it wouldn’t be wrong to call it a fried chicken meal, its warlike name is derived from Ryukyu’s industrial cuisine... Motor Oil Tempura!”

”Go on, old man.” He gestured invitingly. ”Eat it while it’s hot; it’s good for longevity.”

Guo ShouQue looked at the items in the paper box and couldn’t help but shake his head. ”No matter how delicious, eating this could only shorten one’s life, right?”

”Ha, in Ryukyu, which old folk didn’t eat this as a kid? This is the crystallization and delicacy of an era of hunger and thirst... Life and death, it’s all about fate. When you’re alive, you should eat joyfully!”

So it’s true, the Ryukyu people really don’t know how to nurture life… Guo ShouQue shook his head, raising his hand.

”Well then, let’s give it a taste.”

Like swallowing an Immortal Pill, he opened his mouth, using the gums where few teeth remained, to bite into the fried chicken.

In that instant, a mouth-watering sound spread, resounding by every person’s ear, making everyone involuntarily swallow.

The first sensation was the meat’s rich aroma, followed by the terrifying spice and the sauce’s sweet and sour flavors.

When the tender chicken meat, carrying the devilish scent of motor oil, slid down his throat, it felt as though his mouth and nose were on fire, enveloped in flames.

Then, the taste bomb exploded—exploded in a physical sense!

A deep rumble suddenly arose from Guo ShouQue’s stooped body. A terrifying power burst forth from his weak stomach—upon contact with gastric acid, the spices evenly kneaded into the muscle, influenced by the Source Substance, triggered a delicate chemical reaction. Then, almost instantly, it exploded like dynamite!

Dark smoke billowed out from Guo ShouQue’s mouth and nose, so potent!

But then, the sound of tearing followed… because Guo ShouQue was expanding. His bones creaked, muscles writhed. The stooped old man gradually straightened his back, inflating like a balloon, beginning to swell.

A frightening heat rose from the rapidly tightening skin.

It was the heat hidden in the muscles transforming, rapidly turning into vitality. This vitality formed a tidal wave, pouring into that age-weary body, regardless of whether it could contain it, threatening to break him down from the inside out.

But he didn’t collapse.

Instead… he transformed into a stalwart old man with bulging muscles and thick, white hair like a lion’s mane.

His bare upper body showcased solid muscles covered in scars.

No longer decrepit, he had become fierce, stern, wild, and majestic.

Where was the hunched old man now?

This was clearly a ferocious Giant Ape from the mountains, one that roamed among myriad beasts!

And before Johnny, the fierce old man opened his mouth, gluttonously and swiftly devouring the Motor Oil Tempura in his hands, thoroughly licking clean every bit of oil from his fingers.

He was not stingy with his praise.

”Oh, such abundant vitality, this intense spicy impact, truly wonderful… It even restored me to the state I was in at ninety!” he exclaimed in amazement. ”Johnny Ju Zhijian, you are impressive!”

The tide of spicy vitality did not burn him to death; instead, it plunged him into excitement.
