Chapter 355: Motto motto!

摩多摩多(Motto-motto – Homophonic translation of the Japanese phrase, and it’s used to convey the idea of something being continuous or ongoing. Can be translated to English as “more and more, “don’t stop”)

Chapter 355: Motto… motto…!

“Click…”

With a soft sound, a room’s door opened almost silently.

The fox-girl saintess peeked out from the room, her expression full of vigilance.

Under her watchful gaze, the living room outside was completely visible.

And she saw this scene:

“Please open your mouth, Miss Beatrice.”

An extremely beautiful maid was holding a bowl, feeding a cute little girl in a monotone voice.

“Ahh~~~”

The cute little girl obediently opened her mouth, taking the spoon offered to her, swallowing a mouthful of meat and broth, her cheeks puffed out as she slowly chewed.

Beside the two girls was a man yawning as he cut into a steak with a knife.

“Isn’t it a bit much to eat something so heavy this early in the morning?”

He muttered, but his actions showed no hesitation as he shoveled the steak into his mouth, eating faster than anyone else.

The fox-girl saintess could understand his hypocritical behavior.

Even from her position, she could smell the enticing aroma that made her mouth water.

(Ugh, it smells so good…)

The fox-girl saintess was certain that the food with such a fragrance must be an incredibly delicious delicacy.

In front of such a delicacy, even the most picky eater would be unable to resist digging in and finishing it all.

The fox-girl saintess felt an urge to rush out and indulge.

But she held back.

She knew all the people before her.

Beatrice, needless to say, the fox-girl saintess had known of her existence from the beginning.

Lasha had been observed by the fox-girl saintess during her prayers in Jeritte.

As for Shien, there was no need to mention him. He had almost caused a disaster by breaking the seal in the temple.

In other words, these people were no different from enemies to the fox-girl saintess.

(I really have been captured…)

The fox-girl saintess felt heavyhearted.

She was under a lot of pressure.

Ever since she was born, she had always been accompanied by members of the priest group. She had never been alone like this, let alone captured by enemies. ř𝘢ℕo͍𝐛ƐŜ

This was undoubtedly very stressful for the fox-girl saintess, who had never acted alone before.

Under such circumstances, she had to face a group of powerful enemies alone, including Beatrice, which made her want to cry.

(Waaah, I can’t do this…!)

The fox-girl saintess cried in her heart.

Perhaps because she had never been alone since childhood, she was surprisingly timid.

If members of the priest group were around, she could hold her head high and display the dignity of the saintess. But once she was alone, she would feel very insecure.

Have you ever seen a girl who was afraid of the dark and couldn’t sleep alone?

That was her.

Have you ever seen a girl who screamed in fear during a thunderstorm?

That was her.

No one knew about this side of the fox-girl saintess, only the members of the priest group who had accompanied her since childhood.

Therefore, for the fox-girl saintess, the current situation was truly worrying.

(Will I be imprisoned here until I die of old age?)

(Those delicious-looking foods definitely won’t be for me, right?)

(Why did they capture me?)

(And… Did… Did that human man change my clothes…?)

(What will happen to me next?)

Waaah, I’m so worried…

The fox-girl saintess couldn’t help but imagine all sorts of miserable futures, causing her timid side to gradually surface.

While the fox-girl saintess was lost in her own thoughts, Shien and the others were still enjoying their meal.

“Come on, have another bite, Miss Beatrice.”

“Ahh~~~”

“…Hey, I want some too~~~ Just one bite, okay?”

“Please have some vegetables now, Miss Beatrice.”

“Ahh~~~”

“Ignoring me…!?”

The three of them ate and joked around right in front of the fox-girl saintess.

Honestly, the scene made her quite envious.

(I can’t even eat with others…)

Because of her sacred status, the beastmen saintess basically never dined with others.

The same went for the priest group around her. They would only eat in secret, taking turns, after the saintess had finished her meal.

Therefore, the fox-girl saintess was actually quite envious of those who could happily eat together.

But…

(Now’s not the time to think about that!)

She had to be brave, sneak out while they weren’t paying attention.

(After meeting up with Oz and Maeve, we’ll come back here and take “the other half” back.)

The fox-girl saintess made up her mind.

Unfortunately…

“How about we add another dish?”

Shien, who was eating, suddenly said.

“If Mr. Shien wishes.” Lasha stopped feeding Beatrice and said calmly, “Then what would you like to eat?”

“Let me think.” Shien smiled and said, “Fox meat. I’ve never had fox meat before.”

These words froze the fox-girl saintess, who was about to sneak out of the room.

“…Mr. Shien wants to eat fox meat?”

Lasha was silent for a moment before asking.

“Yeah, sounds good, right?”

Shien replied with a smile.

“It does sound good.” Lasha said indifferently, “I know how to cook it and how to remove the gamey smell and fishy taste of fox meat, but it seems a bit hard to find.”

Hearing this, Shien grinned.

The fox-girl saintess saw that grin.

And that grin made her tremble uncontrollably, a sense of fear welling up in her heart.

(He… Could he be… !?)

The fox-girl saintess couldn’t help but stare at Shien.

And as she stared, something terrifying happened.

Shien had turned his head at some point and was looking in her direction, a smile on his face as he said,

“Look, isn’t the meat right here?”

It was obvious who he was referring to.

“Bang!”

The door, which had only been slightly ajar, was flung open with a loud bang.

The fox-girl saintess couldn’t hold back any longer. She rushed out of the room, her face panicked, and ran outside.

However…

“Bang!”

“Ow…!”

With a crashing sound, the fox-girl saintess felt her vision go dark, as if something had appeared, and she slammed headfirst into it. Seeing stars, she collapsed to the ground.

When her vision returned, she found someone standing before her.

Who was it?

Undoubtedly – it was the devil.

“Good morning, Saintess.”

Shien looked down at the fox-girl saintess sitting on the ground, his expression quite amiable.

However, the fox-girl saintess almost cried out.

Although his expression was amiable, she felt that the way he looked at her wasn’t like looking at a person, but like looking at a piece of meat.

This made the fox-girl saintess cover her mouth, her eyes wide with fear.

And his expression became even more amiable.

“Did you sleep well last night?”

The devil murmured, causing the fox meat, about to become a meal, to nod tearfully.

“Do you want to take a bath first?”

The devil continued to murmur, making the fox meat envision herself being boiled in a hot pot, so she shook her head vigorously.

“Then are you hungry? Want to eat something first?”

The devil’s murmur had turned into a demonic temptation.

The fox meat wanted to agree.

But she couldn’t help but wonder if he was trying to fatten her up before putting her in the pot.

So, she shook her head even more vigorously, tears welling up in her eyes.

Looking at the fox-girl saintess sitting on the ground, tearfully covering her mouth, Shien only wanted to say one word.

“Ah…”

This was the sound of satisfaction.

This was bad, very bad.

But it couldn’t be helped. She was so cute, so cute that Shien felt like he had awakened something.

“I’ll give you a chance to say one thing.” The amiability on Shien’s face turned into a malicious expression. “Come on, tell me, what do you want to say the most right now?”

What did she want to say the most?

Was it even a question?

“Don’t… Don’t eat me…!”

Tears finally streamed down the girl’s face.

“Give me a reason.”

Shien didn’t feel any pity for her. Instead, he felt a sense of spiritual sublimation, making him want to motto… motto…!

And the timid fox-girl saintess fully satisfied him.

“I… I don’t taste good at all…!”

The girl gave the answer Shien found the most cliche, but also the one he wanted to hear the most.

Her tearful and trembling face as she claimed she “didn’t taste good” was truly adorable.

“Oh no, now I really want to eat her…”

Shien had successfully discovered a new fetish.

Until…

“Gah…!”

Shien suddenly let out a pained sound.

Lasha had appeared before him, shoving a fork with a piece of meat directly into his mouth.

“Alright, I’ve already ah~~~ed for you, Mr. Shien. Can you calm down now?”

Lasha said these words with a cold expression.

Shien couldn’t answer.

He could only clutch his throat, rolling on the ground and groaning in pain, while Beatrice picked up a fork, squatted beside him, and poked him repeatedly.

Lasha, on the other hand, came to the fox-girl saintess.

“I apologize for my master’s rudeness.” Lasha said calmly, “Can you stand up?”

The fox-girl saintess stared at Lasha blankly.

“Don’t worry.” Lasha looked at her, her tone unchanged. “You’ll be fine.”

These words changed the way the fox-girl saintess looked at Lasha.

She looked at her as if she were a savior.

When Shien finally felt better and swallowed the meat in his throat, he saw the fox-girl saintess, helped up by Lasha, looking at her with admiration.

“Can… Can I call you Big Sister… ?”

The fox-girl saintess asked Lasha, her face slightly flushed.

“…”

Lasha remained silent.

Shien was dumbfounded.

“What the hell?”

Wasn’t the plot developing a bit strangely?
