Primordial Villain with a Slave Harem

Chapter 1087: Clever Defiance

Her mind constricted as she tried to force a loud scream to enter their heads, but nothing came. Not a whisper. Not a breath. The bindings around her soul squeezed tighter, forbidding her from raising her voice, from letting even a pitiful cry escape.

Cassandra bit down hard, hard enough to taste blood, and tried again.

This time, she didn’t simply try to scream.

It wasn’t a voice meant for ears. It was shrill, jagged, a banshee’s wail made from pain and fury, designed not to be heard but to rend. It clawed into every connected mind, high-pitched and violent enough to make one flinch.

But no other voice answered her.

Only his.

A low, dark chuckle slithered into her mind, rich with mockery. The kind of sound that froze blood in the veins.

And then...

A new portal flared to life before her eyes. Through it stepped Quinlan, the Devil himself, with his women coming right after. Not a scratch was visible on them. Not a drop of blood spilled from their ranks.

Cassandra’s breath caught.

Her face drained of color.

They were done already? And suffered no casualties?

Her heart sank as the weight of despair crushed her chest. The feeling only doubled when Quinlan’s eyes locked onto hers and he began walking up to her slowly.

He stopped just close enough for her to see the curl of his lips. A devilish grin. Ominous, cruel.

”It seems that I was not strict enough in the bindings of your permissions. To use a proposal of assistance as a method of rebellion... It was only possible as a result of my lacking orders, yes, but still. You’re one crafty woman, Cassandra Valor.”

His ominous smile deepened even further as he looked down on her prone form, staring into her very soul through those mesmerizing eyes of his.

”You will be a very useful pawn to have.”

Her body quivered from head to toe.

But then Quinlan’s eyes narrowed in dangerous amusement. ”Let’s not make that mistake again, shall we? We have just decided that the time for games is over, after all.”

Looking into those beautiful but oh-so frightening eyes of his, it was in this moment that Cassandra knew: I am done for.

When he spoke again, his tone deepened, steady as law:

”You are mine. You will never again consider yourself free, nor imagine a self apart from my will. You are my property, an object to be wielded, used, and discarded as I see fit. The word ’I’ no longer belongs to you, only to me.” ȑÅΝȯ₿ЕS

”Your tongue is not yours. It will speak when I allow it. No cry, no whisper, no scream, no laugh will leave your lips unless I permit it. Even within [Master’s Link], your voice belongs to me. You will not scream, you will not warn, you will not so much as hum without my leave.”

This, however, didn’t mean that she could not warn him of danger or communicate using the link. She could, but only after being ordered. For example, if Quinlan sent her on a spying mission, she could transmit her findings, but no longer as a shrill scream like before.

That being said, Quinlan wasn’t done just yet. Not at all.

As Cassandra’s face paled beyond death, his barrage of eternal bindings continued.

”Your thoughts are bound. You will not plot against me, nor imagine resistance. Should treacherous thoughts bloom, they will wither into silence before they form. You will think only what aids me, nothing else.”

”Your body is my tool. You will walk where I command, sit when I demand, and move only with my intent. Each breath you draw, each step you take, is by my grace alone.”

”You will obey without hesitation. My orders will stand above any vow, any bond, any loyalty you have ever held. If I command you to strike down kin, you will do so. If I command you to kneel, you will collapse. If I command you to crawl, you will drag yourself through fire and ash until I tell you otherwise.”

”You are forbidden to harm my kin or allies. Directly or indirectly. In thought or deed. To lift a hand or will against them is to forfeit your right to exist.”

”You may no longer define what is yours. Wealth, possessions, pride, even your name, they are only mine to bestow or strip away. You will answer to Cassandra Valor only because I allow it.”

”You will not take your own life. You will not seek death, nor harbor thoughts of ending your suffering. Your life belongs to me, and you will preserve it until I decide otherwise.”

”You will not attempt to escape. Any thought of running, any wish for freedom, is a chain that will choke you the moment it forms.”

When the final word was spoken, the world itself seemed to recoil around the royal guard as the weight of invisible shackles coiled around her soul like venomous serpents. They didn’t merely bind; they dug, burrowed, rewrote her very being. Her lungs seized as if she were drowning.

Cassandra tried to cry out, but the sound died before it even formed. Her body twitched once, twice, and then went rigid as the new decrees carved themselves into her very essence. Her eyes flickered with panic, then dulled as her brain registered the orders she would have to abide by until her dying breath. When her vision cleared, all that remained was despair.

Quinlan leaned closer. Those eyes of his now burned with dominion itself.

”You are not my slave. You are not even my property. You are nothing but the echo of my will, a vessel stripped of self.”

Cassandra’s lips trembled soundlessly. Her body shook beneath the weight of the decree, unable to collapse, unable to resist. She was bound not by chains, but by the obliteration of choice itself.

Then, through the silence, came a fragile voice. A woman’s voice. It was dry, scared even.

”Daughter... Is this man your ally?”

Author: I apologize if today’s Chapters felt lacking in progression. I wanted to explore how despairing it really is to be Quinlan’s [Subjugated] slave if you get on his bad side. Thanks for reading.
