Primordial Villain with a Slave Harem

Chapter 1076: Best Girl in Action

’Grr!! Blossom smells the stench of a truly foul woman!!’ Blossom hissed inwardly when her nostrils picked up on Lilith’s presence.

Lilith didn’t have a disgusting body odor, nor did she smell like a monster. It wasn’t even unpleasant. No, she had a perfectly normal scent, akin to any other human woman. What made Blossom find her repellent was purely psychological; Lilith had attacked her friends and her master, so she was a vile being. That was the end of the story as far as Blossom was concerned.

The gorgeous dogkin assassin made sure to change direction as soon as she noticed Lilith’s presence, going around.

To the common folk, Blossom might as well have vanished. Where moments ago a robed figure had slipped into view, now there was nothing. Her presence folded in on itself. Her footsteps were lighter than breath, her heartbeat tucked into silence. Eyes passed over her without registering. Bodies brushed past, yet never touched her. Even when she darted between artisans, merchants, and street urchins, not a single head turned.

She moved like a whisper of wind. As though she wasn’t there.

The press of bodies broke apart as the streets grew wide. Sunlight spilled through the gaps. No more noise to hide in.

Blossom vaulted. One spring of her powerful legs, and she landed on a wooden sunshade with the grace of a falling feather. Another leap saw her catching a brick as she scrambled up a wall, kicking off with a spin that landed her atop a lantern post. The crowd below never noticed.

From there, it became a dance. She raced across tiled rooftops as her shadow flickered between chimneys, lamp posts, and laundry lines. Her balance was flawless, an acrobat born to the sky.

She suddenly gasped as a burst of worry found its way to her heart.

Quinlan said while sitting cross-legged under Rosie’s tree with his eyes closed. He was using [Overlord’s Eyes] to watch Blossom from afar, sharing her vision.

Quinlan elected not to go with the girl because if there was one area he was truly lacking in, that would be stealth. He had the basic Assassin and Thief classes, but he never paid them much attention after getting his elemental and saber-wielding journey started. Not because he was ignorant of their potential, but because his time was limited. He couldn’t pursue literally all paths of life at once. Sacrifices had to be made.

And knowing he had his awesome Void Stalker at his side, and that he had [Warp Gate] to make a quick getaway instead of using stealth, Quinlan elected to put these classes in the background.

Furthermore, even if he started using them, they would not be strong enough to go with Blossom to such dangerous places that teemed with high-level enemies trained to detect sneaky hostiles.

Blossom’s heartbeat quickened with excitement, but she sensed an opportunity.

Quinlan chuckled.

Instant whimpering came.

A giant smile materialized on the dogkin’s delicate face.

Blossom’s robe fluttered as she vaulted across a spire, flipping with grace before landing on a tiled roof. Her heart was still fluttering from Quinlan’s promise, but, with painstaking effort, she shoved it down and sharpened her focus. ℟𝐚NоᛒƐs̈

She was the Void Stalker. And the Void Stalker meant death unseen, not a lovestruck girl with a heartbeat so loud even level 1 peasants would notice her presence.

Blossom flared her nose. The city’s stench hit her senses like a tidal wave. A disgusting tidal wave. Sweat, piss, horse dung, roasted meats, spiced wines, fresh laundry, mold, perfume, incense, candle wax, burning coal... everything at once.

Her pupils thinned, and her world sharpened. To almost anyone else, even among the beastkin people, it would be impossible. But Blossom was not only a truly talented girl who was blessed with an incredible nose at birth, but she has since then become the Void Stalker, a class specializing in not only assassination.

Her mind began filtering through the threads of scent until she clawed toward the one she had etched deep, never to forget.

Jasmine’s mother.

she muttered with frustration curling in her chest.

But then her heart flared with emotions. Merely remembering back to Jasmine’s longing and the tragic sight of her mother was enough for the dogkin’s pure heart to explode with determination. ’Blossom won’t give up just like this! Jasmine deserves a happy reunion with her poor mom!’ she shouted inwardly.

Her body coiled, and then she sprang upward, landing on a rooftop with a catlike grace.

She lifted her chin toward the skies, letting her nostrils flare wide.

The world assaulted her at once. Stronger than she ever let on beforehand.

In truth, Blossom has not been limited by the accuracy of her nose in the past, but by the capacity of her brain to process all the information her nostrils transmitted to it. This was why she got a headache back in the feast; the many body odors, perfumes, artifacts, and many more were simply too much.

She was bottlenecked by her information processing capabilities. That’s why she has always been conservative with how much information was allowed to be transmitted to her brain.

But not anymore.

Smells crashed into her skull, billions of them. Her head snapped back and teeth ground together as agony shot through her temples.

It was too much, far too much. Meat sizzling on skewers, manure baking in the sun, ale soaking into rotting wood, incense bleeding from shrines, iron burning at the forge, perfumes thick as poison. It wasn’t just smell; it was a universe of information flooding into her brain.

Every inhale was a blade stabbing right into her mind.

Her chest heaved while her pulse hammered like a war drum. Pain scorched her nerves, and every heartbeat pounded fire into her brain. Her eyes bulged and veins throbbed until they looked ready to burst. Blossom’s fingers dug into the rooftop so hard the shingles shattered beneath her grip. It was her attempt to anchor her body against the flood, trying to tear her sanity apart.

The world threatened to break her. For a moment, she thought she would collapse. Then she bared her teeth with bloodshot eyes blazing bright.

’No... Blossom... won’t... fail Jasmine.’

’She refuses!’
