Primordial Villain with a Slave Harem

Chapter 922: Solar Fist

”Ah!” Serika suddenly cried out, eyes wide in shock.

”I... I got a class! And there are so many level-up notifications!”

Quinlan straightened in his chair immediately, eyes lighting up with a spark of excitement. ”What class is it?”

Serika didn’t reply immediately, still processing the flood of system messages scrolling through her mind. ”It says... Solar Fist?”

Luminara let out a low whistle, grinning madly. She was looking a lot less like the Primordial Nurturer, the awesome motherly woman Quinlan came to know here as, and more as a battle junkie. ”Ohoho~ That sounds powerful.”

Mearie’s eyes gleamed with just as much power as the elf’s, staring at the tanned woman with a newfound, open respect. ”The universe recognized your fists as well, dear, not just your fire. That means you weren’t simply a high-stage fire cultivator; you were an elite martial artist in every sense of the word. A sovereign of battle in your own right.”

Serika blinked at the brown-haired woman, visibly processing the true weight of that statement. Her calloused fingers curled into a fist, recalling a lifetime’s worth of training drills and duels. ”...I just did what I had to. What I was good at,” she declared after a bit, voice low but steady. ”That’s all.”

But Quinlan saw it; the small shift in her posture, the tiny upward twitch at the corner of her mouth. She was proud. She’d never admit it out loud, but in that moment, the silent acknowledgment of centuries of suffering and discipline being seen by the vast universe itself... it meant a lot to her.

And when she glanced his way, just for a breath of a second, something in her settled heavily beating chest. The tension in her jaw loosened. Her shoulders lowered. His presence always had that strange effect on her, even now. Calm in chaos. Like the eye of a storm. She remembered, vividly, the image burned into her mind: the man who’d stood unmoving before the wrath of a god, and beheaded it without hesitation.

Back then, a small, rebellious part of her thought he was terrifying.

Now... she wasn’t sure what to call him. But whatever it was, it made the racing in her chest slow and her focus return.

Shaking her head once, she drew a deep breath and spoke up, her voice more sure now. ”Alright. It says...”

She closed her eyes, the physical ones, and began reading what her mind’s eye displayed:

[Class Acquired: Solar Fist]

Description:

One who ascended the path of martial flame beyond limits, the Solar Fist is a wielder of combustion and conquest, a living inferno forged in the crucible of a world ruled by qi, now reborn under the universal laws. Where others channel mana or martial spirit, the Solar Fist burns with solar fury, fists wreathed in relentless flame, each strike a sun-borne judgment.

Serika opened her eyes slowly, exhaling like she’d just stepped out of a dream.

”There’s more...” she added after a pause. ”An innate spell, it’s a passive ability. What’s that?”

”That means it’s an ability that’s always in effect. Think of it like having the Still Heart always beating in your chest,” Quinlan explained, his tone smooth and sure, grounded like embers beneath the surface.

She looked at him again, and this time, she didn’t look away. The tanned redhead just smiled. Quiet, faint, but there. Not because she felt the need to thank him. ȒΆƝổ𝔟Ɛ𝒮

Just because he was there, and somehow, that was enough for her.

A scoffing sound broke the silence like a pebble tossed into a calm pond.

”Oh, for heaven’s sake!” Feng hissed with a great deal of dissatisfaction as she eyed none other than Quinlan. ”Have you no shame? Stop flirting in front of your mothers!”

Mearie didn’t even blink as she responded immediately, ”Dear, we don’t mind at all. In fact-”

”Yes, you do!” Feng shot back instantly.

Luminara giggled into her palm, raising a perfectly trimmed brow with the light of mischief in her eyes. ”We do?”

”Yes!” Feng snapped, cheeks faintly red now as the two mothers giggled in perfect, melodic harmony with one another.

”Ooh, what a jealous little hatchling this one is...” Luminara beamed coyly with a teasing coo.

Mearie continued her merry giggling as she said in agreement, ”A territorial little kitten!”

Feng puffed her cheeks, turning her head to the side with a huff and refusing to dignify them further. Her arms folded tighter. Her screen of abilities floated patiently in front of her mind, wholly ignored.

Mearie noticed. ”You know, darling... I’m starting to think you care more about keeping Quinnie to yourself than even reading your newly acquired powers.”

”I do not!” Feng snapped, eyes glaring off into the distance, chin up. But soon, she caught Quinlan’s amused look. Her cheeks now became the color of Serika’s vivid hair.

She grumbled something incomprehensible under her breath.

Electing to help her junior out of the bind she’d found herself in, Serika read the innate ability her Solar Fist class came with.

”Passive: Aura of the Solar Empress

Your very presence radiates oppressive heat when in battle. All fire-based attacks ignore the resistances of lesser beings. Enemies near you suffer reduced fire resistance and weakened elemental defenses.”

”A permanent battle aura and resistance shredding? Now that’s just badass,” Quinlan whistled.

”Right?” Serika beamed, flashing a wide grin... only for it to falter immediately afterward as she whispered under her breath, ”Solar Empress... I don’t think I deserve such a grandiose title, though... I just punch and kick things until they stop opposing me...”

”Why wouldn’t you be deserving?” Quinlan tilted his head to the side before sipping one of the primordial vampire’s wines. Unlike the elegant ladies, who liked to savor the taste by drinking small little sips, he bottomed it out within a second much to the pair of disapproving glances of his mothers which he promptly ignored as he decreed, ”You’re one ultra badass chick, so the empress part’s fitting if you ask me. Empress of the battlefield, not the political court.” He shrugged.

Serika gave him a deadpan look, finding his explanation strange at best.

”Or,” Luminara chimed in after getting over her son’s barbarian drinking habits with a little sigh, ”maybe it means the universe knows she’s going to be the wife of the future Grand Emperor, so it got ahead and gave her the title already!”

”I was thinking the same thing!” Mearie nodded with faux wisdom, hands clasped together in front of her chest. ”Your explanation definitely trumps Quinnie’s.”

”I know, right?” Lumi giggled.

”There are spells as well... But they aren’t available to me...” Serika muttered quickly, diving back into her system window rather than engage with whatever nonsense the primordial duo was cooking up.

”You can unlock those with what’s called ’Unassigned Skill Points.’ You get those each time you level up. Since you said you were getting level-up notifications, you should have some under your belt already. Speaking of which, what level did you get?” Quinlan asked.

”It says... I’m level 55.”

Quinlan’s eye twitched.

A slow beat of silence followed.

”...Level fifty-five?” he repeated slowly, as if tasting each syllable with growing resentment.

”Yes?” Serika answered warily, brows lifting. ”Is that bad? Did I become a weakling in this new world? What’s your level?”
