Primordial Villain with a Slave Harem

Chapter 768: Time to Begin

A cavernous chamber stretched out before us, lit by ominously shining purple illumination artifacts. Ritual circles were carved into the stone floor, some fresh, some old. Chains dangled from the ceiling in decorative loops, each one draped with talismans or tiny animal skulls.

Bookshelves lined the walls, stuffed with thick, dusty tomes. However, unlike Black Fang, who seemed to be reading about basically anything and everything, Vex’s interest was greatly specialized: grimoire after grimoire of hexes, curses, and unspeakable rituals were displayed on her shelves.

Vials filled with mysterious fluids sat next to labeled jars of dried herbs and… body parts.

I glanced to the side and froze for a second before erupting into amused chuckles, shaking my head. It was just like her. I don’t know why I didn’t expect this.

Mounted on the far wall were trophies.

Lionkin.

Not statues, not replicas, but actual bodies. Skinned, preserved, and displayed like works of art. Their faces frozen in snarls, fangs bared, eyes long gouged out. Their pelts stretched taut like banners. Some were just heads mounted on spikes. Others were flayed torsos, pinned to the stone like they’d been crucified.

She had a giant collection of them.

”Ah… you noticed.” Vex’s voice was deceptively sweet. “Do you like my decorations?”

”I love it. Although I’m not sure if spending your days in this room helps your mental health

She giggled. “You don’t have to worry about my mental health, for I’m perfectly fine. It’s my fellow disciples and master who should get their brains checked. Also, I’m glad you like them. It’s important to take pride in one’s hobbies.”

Ignoring her baseless words, I took a step forward, scanning the room. There was a massive ritual circle carved directly into the center of the floor, its grooves still stained with old blood. Something big had gone down here, and rather recently.

”So, let me guess I said, glancing back at her. “You spend a few hours upstairs sipping tea and playing the part of a rich lady, but this… this is where you really live.”

Her lips curled into a predatory smile. “What can I say? A girl needs her privacy.”

Her fingers traced along the edge of one of the ritual tables, her nails dragging across the surface, leaving little scratch marks.

”I don’t bring just anyone down here, you know… In fact, you’re the first one who’ll get to leave. Well, as long as you behave properly~” she chuckled ominously, but then her voice suddenly turned lower. Darker. “This room is where I dream up all the nasty things I want to do… and all the fun ways I want to make my enemies scream.”

She turned, her eyes glinting with mischief—and something else. Lust. Raw, unfiltered.

”And now you’re here… alone. With me.”

The temperature dropped another five degrees.

I could feel it. The energy in the air shifting.

A duel was coming.

But it wasn’t the kind fought with swords.

”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ll need a few minutes to prepare… I don’t want my first time to be sweaty.” She then grimaced as she added, “Or at least not start with me being already sweaty ṛ𝓪₦οβЁꞩ

”You know I can give you a shower, right?”

At my statement, a sultry expression replaced her wry one. She shook her head. “Nope. I need to prepare in more ways than just cleaning my body. You’ve gotta be patient, Quinnie.”

”Now that’s a task I’m not very good at.”

She chuckled, her sultry grin not leaving her lips as she hummed in a sensual voice, “Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet~”

My little bro twitched at her words. A traitorous, eager pulse shot straight down as if her sultry hum had flipped a switch in my monkey brain.

The neurons have been activated.

Gods, I was already too far gone. The anticipation was like torture. Which was rather fitting considering the surroundings and who I was dealing with.

With a low sigh, I accepted her temporary departure and unrobed myself. I rolled my neck before flexing my fingers as I willed my mana to stir. A gentle rush of water flowed over my skin in thin, serpentine streams, lifting the grime, sweat, and blood from my body.

I exhaled through my nose, and in the same breath, fire surged.

Not the wild, raging kind. No—this was refined. Controlled. A low, radiant flame flickered to life across my skin, dancing along my limbs with gentle warmth. It kissed the droplets from my hair, chest, and thighs, evaporating them without a single burn.

The water had been sensual. The fire was indulgent. And I was ready.

But she made me wait.

Minutes passed.

I paced. I sat. I glanced at the lionkin wall again. I paced some more.

And then, at long last, I heard it: heels clicking slowly on the floor behind the far curtain. The sound alone made my breath hitch.

She emerged like a vision out of every twisted fantasy I’d never dared to admit out loud. The atmosphere in the room instantly shifted.

Gone was her usual outfit. In its place, she wore something far more sinful.

A black corset hugged her waist like a vice, pushing up her already perfect curves to the point of reverence. It was laced with crimson thread, tied tight in the back but left open at the top, showcasing the swell of her breasts. Her legs were wrapped in thigh-high stockings that made me salivate, and her nails gleamed, freshly painted in blood-red, matching her swirling crimson eyes that locked onto me with ravenous hunger.

She didn’t look like a lady anymore.

She looked like temptation incarnate.

A seductress born of madness.

A goddess of pain and pleasure.

And she was walking straight toward me.

”You waited,” she murmured, circling me slowly like a predator admiring her catch. “What a good boy.”

I didn’t trust myself to speak, knowing I’d stutter like a fool.

”Now she whispered, brushing her fingers across my chest with deliberate slowness, “Let’s see if you’re truly ready for a duel with me.”
