God-Tier Extraction Talent: Reincarnated in a Game-like World!

Chapter 375: The Attack: Infiltration the First Class Area [8]

”First of all, we need to change into something more presentable.” Alice suggested, a frown on her face as she shifted slightly, clearly uncomfortable with the stench clinging to her body.

Sniperbowlegend nodded in agreement. If they wanted to check out the enemy storehouses, they needed access to the second and first class areas.

Quickly, the two entered a narrow alley, and just minutes later they stepped out again, this time dressed in fresher clothes previously stored in their inventory.

Alice wore a fitted black tracksuit that clung perfectly to her body. As for Sniperbowlegend, he changed into a dark jacket and combat trousers, with a bow carefully secured across his back.

This kind of dressing was not out of place. In fact, a few adventurers could be seen dressed similarly, some even more extravagant and flashy.

Furthermore, dressing like this would make the average refugees and even the human guards regard them with more respect.

”Now this is better.” Alice smiled in satisfaction as she turned toward her partner. ”Now what?”

”We wait till night. That is when we head into the second class district,” Sniperbowlegend replied.

....

Night...

Despite it being night, the eastern camp was as active as it was during the day, if not more. News had already spread that they were going to reclaim one of the camps that had been captured.

No one knew who spread the news, but everyone was now aware that Dante had been killed by a supposed enemy faction. Orders were given that the enemy was to be treated as a top priority threat.

As a result, the air was filled with thick tension.

After changing their clothes and considering their status as Awakened, it was quite easy for them to pass through the third class area into the second with almost no obstruction.

The only ones who stopped them were the guards, who merely asked where they were coming from. Alice and her partner claimed they were part of a hunting team and were simply returning.

The guards did not think much of it and allowed them entry. Because of their confidence and arrogance, they never considered that the enemy would dare infiltrate their camp.

After stepping through the large gate that separated the third class area from the second, the duo immediately noticed the stark difference.

For one, the pavement in the second class area was wider and in far better condition compared to the third class, which was riddled with potholes and open gutters.

The buildings were less cramped, and even the air seemed to taste better here.

The difference was immediate.

It was not just the roads or the buildings.

It was the people as well.

In the third class area, eyes were always lowered. Faces looked hollow, expressions worn, and conversations were hushed. Every movement carried caution, and the people were treated only slightly better than slaves.

This was because the lord of the camp did not really care about them, and despite the size of the camp, there were never enough resources to feed them properly.

Hence, the hierarchy was created in the first place. If you wanted to live comfortably, you had to prove yourself through the ranks.

Here, in the second class area, people walked with their heads held high. Their backs were straighter. Some laughed openly. Others argued loudly without fear of being silenced. Armed adventurers moved freely, their equipment well maintained, their armor polished, and their weapons clearly not cheap.

”This place...” Alice’s eyes flashed with anger at the injustice. ”It feels like another camp entirely.”

”Yes, and I bet the first class area would be even better,” Sniperbowlegend replied quietly.

They did not linger in the second class district for long and quickly headed toward the first class area. Upon arriving, the process of getting in was far stricter, as this area was reserved exclusively for the top members of the base.

Several armed men stood guard at the entrance, wielding different kinds of guns and mana rifles. Their gazes were watchful, ensuring no one approached carelessly. Even from a distance, the two could tell they were powerful.

Individually, they were not stronger than either of them, but their numbers made up for that disadvantage.

”Passing through undetected is nearly impossible,” Sniperbowlegend frowned. Their mission was to remain unseen and confirm the ammunition stock of the eastern camp, just as Geoffrey had claimed.

If they went in loudly, everything they had done so far would become meaningless.

Furthermore, it would reveal to the enemy that those they were preparing to attack had already infiltrated their base, reducing the element of surprise.

”Passing through should only be a problem if both of us go in,” Alice suddenly spoke, a smirk appearing on her lips.

Sniperbowlegend narrowed his eyes. ”What do you mean by that?”

”Watch me,” Alice said confidently as she stood up, then lowered her voice so only her partner could hear. ”I will slip in, locate the storehouses, count the ammunition, and get out.”

Sniperbowlegend wanted to stop her, thinking she was about to take an unnecessary risk, but in the end he clenched his fist and decided to trust her.

Although the guards kept a close watch to ensure no one from the second or third class areas entered without permission, in reality they were relaxed. Since the creation of the base, no one had ever dared to trespass through the gate.

Alice took a step back, then another, as she activated her killing intent suppression skill.

Despite the name, the skill did more than suppress killing intent. It masked her entire presence.

After concealing herself, she activated Blink.

Instantly, she vanished and reappeared several meters closer to the gate in a silent flash, landing perfectly behind a stone pillar just outside the guards’ line of sight. She did not pause. Another Blink carried her forward as she slipped through the half open gate.

Sniperbowlegend watched the entire sequence in amazement. What was worse was that the guards remained completely oblivious to the fact that someone had just slipped past them.

On the other side, Alice smiled in satisfaction as she turned and moved deeper into the camp.
