The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

”Thank goodness you’re all okay!”

Lu Yuan let out a long breath of relief, his whole body relaxed, and his shoulders weren’t as tense anymore.

Little Taotie was puzzled, ”Where’s Uncle Tie? Wasn’t he always with you?”

Lu Yuan’s shoulders, which had just relaxed, tensed up once again, and his whole face darkened.

Old Tie had been searching for his sister all along, yet who could have known it would end in farewell.

”He’s... keeping vigil.” Lu Yuan’s voice was hoarse.

Little Taotie was taken aback.

Hua Jinyan whispered in her ear, ”Uncle Tie’s sister and nephew met with an accident at the amusement park.”

With that, Little Taotie remembered, the pirate ship had an accident; it was all an ”accident” arranged by the wheelchair man. Uncle Tie’s sister and nephew were the most unfortunate.

”Are they... gone?” Little Taotie struggled to speak, ”Uncle Tie’s sister... is she gone too?”

Lu Yuan nodded heavily.

Mist rose in Little Taotie’s eyes, and her soft voice lowered: ”Uncle Tie must be very sad. I want to keep him company.”

Lu Yuan shook his head, ”Let him have some quiet time alone. We shouldn’t disturb him; I’m afraid seeing you will remind him of his sister as a child.”

Little Taotie pursed her lips and softly agreed, ”Okay.”

Hua Jinyan asked, ”Did he manage to see them one last time?”

Lu Yuan sighed, ”You could say they had a last meeting; though both were soul bodies, at least they were reunited as siblings.”

Little Taotie’s nose turned sour, ”I should have punched the wheelchair man a few more times, shouldn’t have turned him into chocolate so fast!”

The atmosphere lightened a bit with Little Taotie’s childlike defiant remark.

”Since you’re all okay, I don’t need to go there.”

”Uncle Bai Lu was originally going to find us?”

”Yes, I got the news that there was an explosion there. I was worried something happened to you, so I planned to rush over, but there’s no need now.”

”No, no, no, you still have to go!” Little Taotie’s eyes sparkled as she reached out to grab Lu Yuan’s arm, pulling him down, and Lu Yuan cooperatively bent down.

Little Taotie leaned into his ear and told him about the secretary giving away the location and password of the wheelchair man’s assets.

”Uncle Bai Lu, let’s go get the money!” Little Taotie’s big eyes seemed to turn into two golden ingots.

Lu Yuan hesitated for a moment, then coughed, ”I’ll just pretend I don’t know about this.”

Little Taotie was puzzled, ”Why?”

”Silly girl, if I go with you to retrieve it, it will have to be confiscated.”

Little Taotie covered her mouth and blinked her big eyes, ”I didn’t say anything!”

Lu Yuan laughed and shook his head, ”Even if you know his password, it might be difficult to get the money out. Many places require real-name verification, and you need to confirm identity information to withdraw.”

Little Taotie pouted, ”Is it that troublesome?”

”If you report it all to the authorities, you might be able to get it out, but it will likely have to be handed over, and you might only receive a reward, which will surely be less than those assets.”

Little Taotie’s eyes darted around, her soft voice whispered, ”The man in the wheelchair is small, with just a big head. I remember his appearance; I can... try bone crushing!”

Lu Yuan shook his head, ”Some facial recognition technology is quite advanced, especially since there was a stunt double before; he’s surely made full precautions.”

Little Taotie scratched her head, ”How about I give it a try first? If I can’t get it out, then forget it.”

Lu Yuan nodded and looked away, ”I don’t know about this matter, and I haven’t given you any strategy.”

Little Taotie covered her mouth with a cheeky giggle, ”Yes, yes, you don’t know, don’t know at all!”
