The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

”Alright, stop fussing over these things. You should go take a shower, brush your teeth, and get to bed.”

Lou Lan finally managed to coax the curious little one back to their room.

The two kids returned to their temporary room in the Ancient Castle. Little Taotie was the first to brush his teeth and shower, followed by Hua Jinyan.

When Hua Jinyan came back, he found Little Taotie holding his phone and watching short videos.

Hua Jinyan thought for a moment, then walked to Little Taotie’s bedside and said seriously, ”I have lots of cars. You can choose any one to cry in.”

Little Taotie rolled his eyes at him, ”I’m not a crybaby!”

Hua Jinyan scratched his head, feeling immensely awkward.

Little Taotie snorted, ”I’ll buy a BMW tomorrow.”

Hua Jinyan was puzzled.

Little Taotie giggled, ”If anyone wants to cry, I can lend them my BMW to cry in.”

Hua Jinyan: ”...”

Little Taotie looked at him and said seriously, ”Don’t be so stingy. You have so many cars. If a sister wants to hide in a car to cry, and she doesn’t have one, you should lend her yours.”

Hua Jinyan: ”...I don’t have my own car.”

Little Taotie was surprised, ”Didn’t you say you have lots of cars and asked me to pick one to cry in?”

Hua Jinyan replied, ”They’re all under my parents’ names. I don’t have a car in my name, so I can’t make decisions.”

Little Taotie patted him on the shoulder, ”Don’t be like that BMW driver. If you’re also a mama’s boy who has to ask for money for everything from home and can’t earn on your own, you’ll be forced to marry a girl you don’t like, just because your mom likes her. That won’t lead to happiness. Second brother always says you can only marry someone you love.”

Hua Jinyan: ”I have money.”

Little Taotie remembered that Hua Jinyan seemed to have participated in many competitions and had won a lot of prizes each time.

”Even if you have money, your mom will still want you to marry a girl she likes. You can only hope that the girl your mom likes and the girl you like are the same person. Otherwise, she’ll definitely make things difficult for her, like in those mother-in-law and daughter-in-law dramas, where they ask the daughter-in-law to remove the seeds from a dragon fruit.”

Hua Jinyan twitched his mouth, ”You watch mother-in-law and daughter-in-law dramas?”

Little Taotie sighed, ”I need to play the unlikable granddaughter in one of those dramas. Because my mom gave birth to me, my grandmother, who favors boys over girls, really dislikes us and often makes things difficult.”

Hua Jinyan frowned, ”How did your big brother let you accept such a role?”

Little Taotie waved her hand, ”This has nothing to do with my big brother. The actress playing my mom is really beautiful, so I wanted to play her daughter.”

Hua Jinyan: ”...If she wasn’t beautiful, you wouldn’t want to play?”

Little Taotie nodded, ”If she wasn’t beautiful, how could she have a cute and pretty daughter like me? The director wouldn’t have chosen me. He said he picked me because I look a bit like the lead actress. Standing together, we look like a real mother and daughter.”

Hua Jinyan met her eyes and saw them gleaming with expectation.

Maybe... it’s not about wanting to play a daughter, but wanting a mother, a chance to be close to one.

But she clearly already has a mother...

Hua Jinyan sighed softly, ”Stop playing with your phone now. It’s time to sleep.”

Little Taotie hummed twice, turned her back to him, and continued swiping through short videos.

Hua Jinyan, feeling helpless, ”If I tell you a story, will you put down your phone?”

Little Taotie immediately put down her phone, her big eyes blinking, ”What story? I don’t want to hear those Mermaid or Snow White stories. I want to hear a hero’s story!”
