The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Little Taotie blinked, her big eyes filled with bewilderment and confusion.

Wasn’t it to repay her sister by helping with free renovations?

This could be considered a form of apology, to make up for the theft years ago.

Maybe she suffered abroad and realized only her family was good, only her relatives were good.

The kind Little Taotie filled in a lot on her own, completely failing to understand how a well-intentioned renovation turned into a murder with malicious intent.

”She’s already famous, holding several published books, and some of them have been adapted into comics and short videos among other media.”

Little Taotie tilted her head, puzzled: ”Isn’t this a good thing? Having a famous sister, wouldn’t he be happy?”

”Yes, he’s happy, but he’d be happier if this sister were dead.”

Little Taotie gasped in disbelief: ”...Dead?”

”Because her brother discovered that an author’s copyright can be inherited 50 years after death.”

Little Taotie: ”...”

The little girl’s big eyes dulled, her mouth drooped, her little nose wrinkled, and her brows tangled up.

She understood now, she had imagined this bad younger brother too positively; he wasn’t trying to repay his sister, but rather trying to kill her. Once she died, he could inherit all copyrights and earnings that should belong to her!

The current outcome is the elder sister indeed died of leukemia, and she passed away at the young age of just 25.

”Leukemia... was it because of this renovation?” Little Taotie asked softly, her eyes full of sadness.

”The radioactivity from the marble in the house was excessively high, which was the root cause of her leukemia.”

”Marble...” Little Taotie murmured: ”She didn’t know it was her brother who harmed her, did she?”

”She didn’t know, before she died she even transferred the house to the family. She passed away probably unaware, maybe she thought she was overly exhausted from rushing to finish drafts.”

”Why say that?” Little Taotie furrowed her small eyebrows: ”I feel... maybe she sensed something was wrong, otherwise the ending of that script shouldn’t have been like that.”

Chen Zi remembered the ending of the script.

The award-winning female protagonist was told she had cancer; she thought she was too exhausted from chasing awards. But she found out her parents and younger sister were secretly asking around about good houses, though they could have waited two months for the house to be theirs. Why wouldn’t they live in it?

The script’s setting was that the house belonged to the sister and her boyfriend, a small business owner in a total renovation company, handled the entire renovation.

In the end, as she was dying, she held her sister’s hand and said: ”Take good care of Mom and Dad. I can’t fulfill my filial duties anymore; from now on, you have to be good to them.”

The sister nodded: ”I know, sis. Don’t worry, just go at ease, no need to fret.”

”Why do you need to buy a new house and can’t live in the one I left?” she asked weakly.

The sister sighed: ”Housing prices in first-tier cities have soared too much; fewer people have been buying over the last two years. Even if they buy, they’re unwilling to use total renovation firms, preferring small firms for partial renovations to save costs, which isn’t good for my boyfriend’s company.”

”Now even the prices in second or third-tier cities are gradually rising; many people, seeing the trend in first-tier cities, believe housing prices in second and third-tier cities will spike too, rushing to buy before the surge. Many renovation companies are overwhelmed with work.”

”So we plan to move to other cities for his development. As the accountant in his firm, of course, I will follow him.”

”I can’t leave Mom and Dad here; obviously, I need to bring them along. Wherever people are is where home is, so we plan to buy a house in a second or third-tier city. Paying full price is a bit much; we might sell your house, sis.”

She paused, seeing her sister silent, shifted, her voice tinged with deep melancholy: ”Sis... if you disagree, we’ll keep your house, at worst we’ll get a loan to buy a house, just pay the down payment first. But the interest these days... Oh, it’s a bit high, yet there’s no choice.”
