Re-Birth Of A Genius. Creator/Destroyer

Chapter 2605: Loss

Sam’s friends moved.

In their communication devices, they all got messages from Sam. The locations of their targets. Then with the tokens they are wearing, they transferred themselves to the respective locations.

First are the ones who are the pretranscendence Initial stage...

Within the bamboo forest.

One of the soldiers is running in circles. Literally.

He didn’t even stop for a single second. He just blocked the attacks and kept on running as fast as he can, to avoid the attacks.

Still it is not enough. He still got hit and this only wore his stamina out. He knew that his initial stage pretranscendent cultivation is too much. But since he had the opportunity, he just couldn’t resist.

When the despair is mounting in his heart, all of a sudden, the attacks stopped just for a moment.

Before he could feel the relief, he felt the spatial interference right in front of him. All he saw was a silhouette and a sword.

Black Meteorite sword cut through the air and his neck. The cut was so precise, his head was not completely cut off. The man fell to the ground and squirmed like a worm as blood gushed out.

As the life left his body, the shadow energy in the surroundings intensified. It creeped into him.

In front of Jack’s eyes, the shadow of the body was extracted and it disappeared with spatial transference along with Jack.

Both Jack and the shadow appeared near his next target.

Similar situations unfolded all over the bamboo forest.

Within the next ten minutes, dozens of pretranscendent cultivators were cut down. Each of Sam’s friends were accompanied by over a dozen shadows, and they moved to the cultivators of the higher level.

At that moment, Miko who is hovering over the forest, obstructing the senses of the opponents, eased her sword intent a bit.

Parna is still a bit scared.

She could guess that Miko and her are of same age, in fact Miko appeared a bit younger. But the sword intent Miko showed was so refined and dangerous that Parna didn’t dare provoke her. After the initial anger subsided, she realized that she might have made the wisest decision, not engaging Miko.

So, when Miko voluntarily took her sword intent back, Parna is still a bit unsure. She hesitated...

Only until one of the idiots under her couldn’t bear it anymore and extended his own senses, and when Miko didn’t show any reaction for it, Parna relaxed and extended her own senses.

And that shocked her.

The bamboo forest, completely turned.

Even now, not a single bamboo was destroyed, but almost half of her forces are depleted.

She saw, a bunch of her soldiers, are being targeted by Sam’s friends.

Each friend had a group of shadows with him. They basically ganged up on the targets.

The shadows in particular are not dying off. No matter how many times they were destroyed, no matter how many hits they took, they just came back.

Parna knew that it is only a matter of time before all the troops died.

Sure, a transcendent stage cultivator is hundreds of times stronger than the pretranscendent counterparts. But what if hundreds of suicidal pretranscendent cultivators are ganging up on one of those transcendent cultivators?

And its not like there are only weaker shadows.

There are stronger ones as well.

The longer it takes, the harder it is for her troops.

In that moment of desperation, her energy riled up. She was about to make a move to stop this instinctually...

But...

*KEEN*

Miko just held her sheathed blade and Parna came back to her senses.

”I indeed cannot attack you first. But I am sure that doesn’t apply if you are the one to break the contract first. I think we can get away with it.

And even if we didn’t... fuck it. Sam won’t mind. That crazy guy might even welcome the challenge. I won’t even be surprised, if he ends up winning.

So, I beg you. Please take a fucking swing. I want to see what happens.”

”You are enjoying way too much. Should have sent Xia instead of you.” Sam’s voice echoed in the surroundings. Parna felt herself tremble.

She noticed that all the auras behind her are also raising. Her subordinates are all ready to make a move.

But Parna herself, felt her heart collapse.

She knew there is no winning it.

”I lost. I will admit it. Can you stop killing those people?”

She spoke out loud. She knew Sam is somehow hearing their conversation as it happened.

But there is no response.

The killing continued in the bamboo forest.

Parna had a moment of realization, which led to panic.

”SAM. PLEASE STOP THIS. I AM REQUESTING YOU. DON’T KILL THEM ANYMORE.”

No response at all.

Parna looked at her subordinates being slaughtered.

After some thought, she had an idea.

”I will compensate. I will pay ransom for their lives. Please leave them alive.”

Only then did the killing stop.

Over thirty peak stage transcendent cultivators were left in the bamboo forest.

*SWOOSH*

Sam appeared out of thin air, standing in between Miko and Parna. Looking down on Parna from a much higher altitude. With a cold smile on his face.

”So, how much.... Let’s not haggle too much. I still have to deal with the other two sides.”

”What do you want?”

”Mines. I heard your faction’s area has some really great mines. For the next decade, I need complete rights over five different mines of my choice. You will be in charge of having it mined, under the supervision of one of my subordinates.”

”That’s it?”

”Yeah, but the mining method and equipment would be provided by me. You need to use and follow them.”

”I agree, let them go.”

Sam didn’t answer and only gave her the contract. She signed it through gritted teeth and cursed him in a thousand ways in her mind.

He let them go. But he is not done with her yet.

”You still need to uphold the other contract. Gather your troops and await your assignment.”
