Re-Birth Of A Genius. Creator/Destroyer

Chapter 2330: Understanding

Sam attacked the undead with all his strength, he didnʼt hold back.

Instantly, the expressions of the people changed. The moves of the shadow undead, they are very familiar. They have seen those moves clearly and have been seeing even a couple of minutes ago.

Rashmaʼs shadow fought just like her, Samʼs shadow fought just like him, and of course the opponentʼs shadow fought just like him.

This is a special constitutional ability of the opponent.

Sam knew of it. He has seen the other party practice this many times in the hub. The moment he saw it, he knew he had to study this technique. As for what exact this is...

The opponentʼs constitution allows him to become one with his shadow and access the shadow realm.

When he is in complete fusion with no restrictions, he will become an anchor point connecting the shadow realm and the realm of the living. The energy of the shadow realm leaks out, which is why the stage is changing in color.

It is the corrosion of the shadow realm.

And of course, the ability doesnʼt stop at just accessing the shadow realm. That is just the start.

He can use his will power to connect with the shadows on the other side. The shadows in the shadow realm retain the memories of the counterpart in the land of living. Depending on the will power he has and the strength of the shadow, he can make the shadow do his bidding. For example, if his will power is high enough, he can summon Samʼs shadow to this side and make it perform all the battle techniques Sam ever used. Of course, the elemental attacks will not be replicated in the same way, but the physical attacks will be.

However, the difference in the strength of wills should be very vast. So, a person in the Divine Plane can only summon a shadow of Mortal Plane.

That is why, this guy found a way to supplement it.

He used the shadow undead and partially summoned the wills of those shadows into the undead. He cannot also tap into all the abilities of the shadows, he can only do so partially.

That is also the reason Sam is able to tackle three of them. Otherwise, with Rashmaʼs abilities alone, he is not confident with the cultivation level difference.

Samʼs clash was intense and he didnʼt hesitate to take a few more attacks than usual. As he attacked them, his orbs attached themselves to the shadows. They almost blended themselves together with the shadows with every passing minute.

When all the orbs are finally attached to the shadows, Sam finally made his next move. *SWOOSH*

The space element activated.

He blinked and reappeared behind the opponent.

Rashmaʼs shadow tried to attack him and so did the corruption of the shadow element, but he is fast enough.

The shadow fusion has changed to the space fusion and he had placed his hand on the opponentʼs back *BOOM*

With a shockwave, the surrounding space trembled a bit. Samʼs space fusion once again changed. It turned into a dual fusion. Both Space and shadow.

At this moment, the opponent froze.

He felt an enormous pressure on his will power and on his body.

Samʼs orbs are finally revealed to him. They are not just any orbs, they are the shadow mice. They just disguised themselves with the fusion and they are now attached to the shadows. They are now simulating their bloodline to mimic the starting stage of the shadow transference.

The shadow mice also have the ability to connect to the shadow realm. However, it cannot be used recklessly and it is mostly used for moving from one place to another.

It could be used as attack technique as well, but it definitely didnʼt provide too much access to the shadow realm.

Not enough to toy around with the shadows there like the opponent in front of Sam.

Sam tried to study this technique with whatever data he gathered from the Hub. However, he was missing a key point. He was able to identify the connection with the shadow world, but he wasnʼt able to understand the nature of the connection.

So, he had it in his plans to find out more. Luckily he is facing this guy in the tournament this time. He decided to take the initiative to do this.

He activated his observation ability. His soul power invaded the other party. His body is also simulating the spatial energy along with the shadow energy as he exploded the connection between the opponent and the shadow realm.

The shadow mice are also simulating the state in which they usually connect with the shadow realm to resonate with the connection of the shadow undead with the shadow realm.

They are frozen in the state on the stage.

They are not moving even one bit. The audience were all dumbfounded. They didnʼt understand what is happening. However, the Set academy elder and the other Set academy students had a frown. Some of them knew about the ability.

The Elder in particular definitely knew.

He is anxious.

He didnʼt understand what Sam is doing, but he knew that something is wrong.

He hesitated a bit and stood up. ”What is happening, referee? Why is there no change in their movements?”

The referee didnʼt reply. He didnʼt understand either. He wanted to use his divine sense to scan them and get a reading on the situation, however, he knew that it wouldnʼt be perceived as an appropriate action.

But looking at the situation, he felt like there is a need for his intervention.

At that moment... ”ARGGHH....”

The opponent of Sam suddenly screamed. The shadow energy fluctuated and the surrounding spatial fabric rippled with turbulence. The elder immediately made a decision. ”We withdraw.”

The moment he said that, the elder made a move, when he was about to separate them, Sam let go of his hand and just took a step back. The opponent fell forward unconscious.

Sam raised both of his hands, his fusion disappeared, his orbs disappeared, the shadow mice along with them. ”He is fine.”

Sam said just to make sure that the other party didnʼt attack him.

The referee checked the student and nodded to the elder of the Set academy. He was taken away and Sam attained the victory.

However, he is a bit too exhausted. The last move... it didnʼt look like much, but it took a lot of his mental power as well as a lot of his own energy. First to try and peer into the secrets of the shadow realm and the second to ensure that the shadow realmʼs energy didnʼt just corrupt his soul to the core.

He sat in his chair and started taking the wine and some potions to recover his energy.

The Setʼs academy members looked at him with resentment. Sam didnʼt care. Even if they didnʼt have this resentment now, they are going to cross paths sooner or later. After all, one of the Hub managers in from Set academy, which means, there are a lot of skeletons of the Set academy that he is going to dig sooner or later and they would be brought to their knees when he did so.

Compared to what he is going to do to them, these angry glares... they are less than nothing.

The matches continued.

Now there are only eight people left.

Two from the Gambler academy, two from Setʼs academy. The remaining four are from four different academies.

Maybe to make the competition more interesting or by sheer coincidence, the Set academy students and Gambler academy students are not assigned to each other. They are all matched up with the individuals from other academies.

So, if all four of them win, then the top four out of five places will be taken by them.

This will be a lot more exciting.

The individual competitors also understood this and they lost their morale. They lost in the next round.

The set academy students in particular, bodied their opponents. All the while looking at Sam.

It seemed like they really want to deal with him. They are pretty loyal if not anything else.

The next round is expected.

The top four are going to fight among themselves and it was arranged as Gambler vs Set beyond no oneʼs expectations.

First fight is between Rashma and the Illusions guy.

The second one is between Sam and the necromancer.

Rashma got on the state with her bored expression. Her blank and innocent expression did nothing to the terror she created in the hearts of the other students.

She is the second most vicious competitor apart from Sam. Even that illusion guy who have a pretty easy time in the first two fights is a bit cautious when he got on the stage. ”FIGHT” *BAM*

The announcement was made and Rashma made a move. She is already in front of her opponent and threw a kick.

It landed on his chest, clean and this might just be the first time he actually took a hit.
