Re-Birth Of A Genius. Creator/Destroyer

Chapter 2266  Crow Vs Samil

Needless to say Rashma won.

She stood there as Ling Tian examined the injuries on Drakeʼs face and shoulders. Apart from that, there are some very distinct injuries on his back. Exactly above his tail bone. Two injuries. They were clearly there because Rashma locked her legs by digging her heels into there.

It is just that there is more to those hells. It is not very clear what it is, but it definitely dug deep into his flesh and even left some miniature fractures on his bones.

Drake never even had a chance.

Rashma just stared at the scene until Ling Tian let her go. The crowd cheered with claps and whistles, but of course the participants grew a bit more nervous. At least, the late stage cultivators did. Crow is calm for some reason and Sam didnʼt feel the pressure that much.

It is not that he is completely confident in winning and it is definitely not that he became arrogant enough to believe that he will definitely not lose. He just felt like he has lesser stakes compared to the rest.

If he took a step back from his obsessive compulsion to grow, his actual competitors are players.

He has it on good authority that they didnʼt breakthrough yet. It will take a couple of months according to Samʼs calculations unless they have fortuitous encounter that goes beyond his estimations. Even then, he is far ahead.

The only reason he is even participating is to create more chaos.

He can do it whether he is part of the solo combat or not. So, for the first time in a while, he didnʼt have too many self-induced pressures and can operate freely with little to no stakes.

”Next.

Crow Vs Samil”

Ling Tian announced the next fight.

Crow nodded at Sam before jumping into the arena. A young man wearing a clean white robe slowly levitated out of his seat and appeared in the arena.

Samil. This one is an interesting individual. He is one of the pure mages of the academy and he is of wind element at that. He is really good with his ability control and is very big on combat. Only, his movements are a bit unconventional.

Samil appeared at his position in the arena.

He is still levitating though. He is in a lotus position and looked like he is sitting in the air. He had his eyes closed. His long hair fluttered gently as if they are responding to his slow and rhythmic breathing. He just had that gentle aura around him.

He is still levitating though. He is in a lotus position and looked like he is sitting in the air. He had his eyes closed. His long hair fluttered gently as if they are responding to his slow and rhythmic breathing. He just had that gentle aura around him.

Where as Crow… he held his daggers and stood there with his usual dark and menacing aura.

Crow is considered the best among the Middle stage students among the second graders. He is also the leader representing the student council from the second grade. It is safe to say that he didnʼt get that position because of his pretty face, because he didnʼt have one.

He is good at combat.

The only mistake he had done was boldly fight White in the arena during the freshman admission test and lose.

Granted that there are many restrictions placed on him, it is safe to say that his reputation took a slight hit. Now, he has a perfect chance to cleanse it.

He held two of the daggers and waited for the fight to start. Ling Tian looked at them for a couple of seconds before he nodded and announced.

”FIGHT”

*SWOOSH*

Crow disappeared. He was like a dark that could be seen. He reappeared behind Samilʼs back within a second and was ready to attack.

*BOOM*

Samil didnʼt open his eyes, instead a burst of compressed hair emerged from his back and hit Crow, sending him back.

Crow spun himself to the right as he took himself out of that compressed airʼs path and charged forward again.

Samil once again used the same tactic. However this time, the compressed air is followed by a wind blades that are conjured behind Crow and came at him.

If he moves back because of that air cannon, he will fall right into the path of those wind blades, even if he didnʼt and stops in his tracks, the blades will get him. He has to dodge by going down or block the wind cannon completely and move forward.

Thatʼs what everyone thought. That appeared like an obvious approach. But to everyoneʼs surprise, Crow made a weird move. He leaned backwards by charging at the wind cannon with his legs. When they made contact.

*PHEW*

A sharp explosive sound, almost like a muffled bullet sound came before he shot himself towards the wind blades. Even Samil is taken aback. Before he could react, Crow kicked a wind blade in the air.

*PHEW*

The wind blade disappeared and he used that recoil to moved towards the Samil again. He was shooting like a bullet. At a speed that is normally not seen at the middle stage of Divine Plane Initiation. Even Sam felt like had to use his shadow fusion or partial light fusion to get that speed.

But Crow is just using that in his normal form.

*PHEW* *PHEW* PHEW*

Wind blades emerged out of nowhere as they swarmed Crow trying to hinder his advance. They covered Samil completely not even leaving a small gap for Crow to exploit. Meanwhile, Crow is deflecting the wind blades by kicking them and using them as stepping stones.

His speed aside, if not for the contact between him and the attacks, and its subsequent energy release, it would have been hard to trace him. Sam had to activate his energy vision and use it at full strength to even see the energy tracks left behind by crow.

Its like he perfectly blended into the area.

He couldnʼt be sensed normally. He couldnʼt be seen at the speed he was going. He is barely making any sound.

Even though he is right there in the front, it also felt like he is not there. Sam doubted, his spiritual sense would pick him.

This is not even the first time Sam has seen Crow use this technique, he has seen this hundreds of times from the Hubʼs simulations. Crow has been perfecting this technique, ever since his defeat against White.

His style is very similar to Recoil style, but it is very different as well. Even though it looked like he is using the recoil of attacks, to be precise, he is just jumping off of the attacks as if they are solids, while deflecting them. The diffusion of the attacks was purposefully done.

Repel style is also very close to this, but the repel style doesnʼt diffuse the attacks, it just makes them slip to the side.

This could be considered a completely new style, its just Sam has no word to name it.

Samil still hasnʼt opened his eyes. A condensed wind sphere faintly visible to the naked eye is revolving around him. Wind blades and wind cannons are being shot from it in addition to the ones that are being conjured all over the arena.

Since the start he didnʼt open the eyes and only increased his control over the wind in the arena.

Crow on the other hand didnʼt even step on the ground one time. It is not like he is levitating, he is just moving around the wind blades like a pinball.

”Seems like Samil is going for a long lasting battle. He will win in that case without revealing any of his attacks.”

Sam heard one of the other participants muttering.

”Well, you know how Samil handles things. I donʼt even remember seeing with his eyes open or even standing up in any battle in the past few months. He would just let the opponents breeze out if he could help it.”

”Yeah, sometimes I donʼt understand if he just cocky or straight up lazy.”

Sam couldnʼt help but smile at this. Because he knew these guys are on point with their speculations. Samil is lazy and just to keep him image, he guises his lazy sitting in the air as meditation. In fact, if one observes clearly, they could see the air propping his back and the bottom, to give him good lumbar support.

But most of the time it is ignored by his peers as he is constantly controlling the wind and the people who could notice donʼt bother with it.

There are many good reasons for him to be lazy. However, the main point is that when he does get serious, and Sam has seen how serious he can get, he has tendency to wipe everything out. He is actually intrigued by how it will play with Crow.

From the looks of it, Samil is moving dangerously close to being serious since no matter how many attacks he launched, he is unable to catch Crow, while Crow is doing justice to him name as he flew in between those attacks.
