Re-Birth Of A Genius. Creator/Destroyer

Chapter 1864 - 1864 To the Giants

1864 To the Giants

Sam went back and sat in the resting area

He leisurely took out a jar of wine as he tried to relax, at this moment, the formation pillars are fully activated.

Jate killed the guy at the rear and he didn’t want to miss this chance to finish this battle once and for all.

“Let’s go and finish this. Do not hold back now. Go all out. The city is ours and we are going to keep it no matter what.”

Jate commanded and the soldiers raged forward.

Meanwhile, Jate’s opponent just stopped the tornados Sam unleashed on his soldiers. He looked at Jate and the rest of the humans as he gritted his teeth.

“Everyone, we need to get the prince no matter what. March with me and kill this vermin. Today, we are going to capture this city or die trying.”

The Lycans are pumped up. There were never really afraid to die, but for the first time Sam made them feel helpless and powerless which is worse than death in their eyes. But their leader’s motivation is enough for them to get back on track.

The leader of the Lycan troops, looked at Sam from far away.

.....

Sam is literally sitting out in the open in seat that looked like lounge chair with his legs crossed while drinking wine. His expression is absolutely cold and indifferent. From the moment he stepped in, it is his war. He had harder time deciding breakfast than thinking of plans deal with this war.

The leader really wanted to kill Sam. He knew if he managed to breakthrough the formation and killed Sam in front of his troops, the morale will raise.

But his opponent and him are equally matched.

At least that is what he thought. What he didn’t know is, Sam was not there just to increase the morale of humans, he is there to annihilate the lycans.

The next moment, the leader of Lycan troops felt a sense of threat like never before. He hurriedly turned around and slashed. But to his surprise there is nothing in front.

All he could see is that the excited Lycan troops suddenly fell silent and the leader felt a cold chill on his neck.

A Spectre that looked disfigured, just like a monster that could haunt people in their nightmares, is floating behind him. The spectre doesn’t even have legs, the tail of it is connected to the formation pillar below.

The Spectre opened its mouth and dug into the Leader.

“Argghh…”

He felt the sharp pain of fangs going deep into his flesh. But no blood spilled out. Because the actual bit was taken out of his soul. The Spectre didn’t wait on him, it slipped away after taking that one bite.

The Lycan leader felt his vitality slipping away. He felt dizzy and exhausted. His body is full of energy, but his mind is not. He gritted his teeth and tried to stay awake and aware.

But the next scene shocked him more and more.

The Lycans that are all in the formation and ready to make the final charge fell into chaos.

One Spectre after another came from the formation pillars. They came from below, took a bite off the soul and slipped away. the leader was able to endure it because of his cultivation.

But the rest of the lycans are not as powerful.

He saw as the Spectres claimed the lives of one lycan after another.

He looked at the ground, it looked normal. Even his spiritual sense is unable to see anything.

“AHHHHHH….”

He screamed and threw a large fireball at the ground. The formations created by the formation pillars rippled as they tried to deflect the energy of the fireball. And in that brief flash of the moment, he saw a horrifying scene.

The deadbodies of Lycans that fell into that dark swarm of death energy are being consumed by the spectres.

Of course, the flesh is not actually being consumed by the spectres, rather they are capturing and sucking the soul out of their bodies while the roots that came from the trees sucked the blood, flesh and bone of the corpses.

But either way, he couldn’t see the roots from there because of the death energy and it looked like the deadbodies are being sucked away. He is soaked in sweat. He never knew that a man could be this afraid.

And it didn’t take long for him to realize that a man shouldn’t be this afraid in the middle of a war.

While he is distracted, Jate came forward and jammed his sword into the Lycan leader.

He dodged, but the blade still went through his shoulder.

Jate didn’t hesitate and forcefully pulled the sword sideways and tore a piece of flesh directly. The Lycan leader came back to his senses and charged forward aiming to fight desperately. He had no hopes of leaving this place alive anyway.

But the problem, he is not destined for some great battle before he dies either.

A spectre came from the rear and took another bit off of his soul. He swung his sword at it and destroyed it, but this gave Jate a great opening and stabbed him once again.

The battle continued in the most unfair way one could imagine.

Whenever the Lycan leader came forward to attack, he was blocked by a spectre, distracted by a spectre and attacked by a spectre.

Whenever Jate missed an opening and was about to receive a blow, the spectre took the attack with full swing. But the Lycan leader didn’t have such luxury. He was stabbed, bit, slashed and finally he fell on to the ground like a broken kite and just like the rest of the Lycan kin, he dissolved into the ground.

Once the heads of the battle were cut off, the rest went on relatively well.

Some of the Lycans wanted to escape, but Sam didn’t let that happen. As soon as he spotted some Lycans retreating, the spectres’ job only became to make sure not a single Lycan escapes.

The Lycans came in too deep and the formation is spread too far for any spectre to miss an fleeing Lycan.

Just the like that, the battle that has been troubling Jate and his subordinates for such a long time was finished by Sam’s interference.

The last leg of the battle went on for a whole day. The city is cleared and the news has been sent to the seniors who are blocking the High level Lycans from coming here.

Now that the city has stabilized, they can now focus on defending it better.

Sam drew out a blueprint and gave it to Jate.

“This will help you stabilize the defense of the city. If you manage to successfully implement this formation with abundant energy, you can use minimum number of cultivators to maximize your defense against higher number of enemies.”

“Would you help us with the construction then?”

Jate asked hopefully. He is also from a noble household so he is very much interested in friendship with Sam.

If what Sam gave them worked and this area is stabilized, then he would be leaving thing place and will be deployed to a new region.

Having someone like Sam by his side, will help him gain more merits. Of course, saving humans is what he is striving for now, but it wouldn’t hurt for anyone to gain some more merits.

“No, I won’t be staying here anymore.

The situation is relatively stable. You guys should be able to finish the rest now. The pressure on the city is gone, so you can repair the previously damaged formation as well. With my formation as well as the formation pillars I left behind, things will go rather smoothly.

Anyway, I will come back to get the corpses.

Just collect the corpses from all your regions and bring them here, as per our agreement. I will come and collect them whenever I am free.”

“So, where are going to go now?”

“The next chaotic region nearby.”

Sam just smiled and left the city on harbinger. After reaching a certain distance, he used the dimensional drifter and disappeared from there.

He went in a certain direction away from the city.

He doesn’t have much use with the prince that is currently being held hostage. He acquired almost eight hundred kills in this area which is a good haul. He also gained a bunch of fruits of fire and earth element.

That is also a great enough haul.

He collected some of the spectres from the formation pillars and replaced them with some new and a bit weaker ones.

Now, all he has to do is repeat the same thing again in different city.

He did exactly that.

He reached the nearest city and this time used the recommendation and acknowledge for Jate to gain the trust much faster. He simply assimilated himself with the city’s soldiers and participated in defense.

And he also found a few places that are suitable for his beasts as he moved from city to city. Just like that two months went by.

Sam participated in the defense of 5 cities and came across Lycans of all kinds of elememts. He managed to kill some Lycan nobles and gained enough knowledge of Lycan planet to send all his beasts over there to gain as many rewards as possible.

The only problem is his direct kills are not as many as he wanted.

Currently, he only has a little over 3000 kills at his hand. But on the other hand, they only came from Lycans.

Now, he decided to move to a different race.

The Giants.
