Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game

All day, Charlotte Miller felt somewhat anxious, but it did not affect her strategic thinking.

The stock price of Hallow Clan was rising against the market trend because someone was consistently accumulating shares, but this phenomenon was unusual.

Because everyone thought that nobody would dare to manipulate a stock like Hallow Clan. After all, its market value had reached astronomical heights, and without formidable funds, it was essentially immovable.

”President Miller, with such accumulation, when should we declare our stake?” Annie Gray still couldn’t fully grasp the complexities of capital operations.

She came from an administrative management background, capable of organizing the entire company’s operations clearly and effectively, but she was still unable to fully understand Charlotte Miller’s tactical maneuvers.

”Do you know how many original shareholders a company needs before going public?” Charlotte finally had some spare time to chat with Annie after the market closed.

This relationship, resembling both a superior and a friend, pleased her greatly because Annie was very professional, never crossing boundaries during work, yet she made their interactions extremely comfortable outside of work.

It’s unclear why Joseph Shaw initially forced such a good woman out. If not for his excessive behavior, Annie surely wouldn’t have resolutely resigned.

Annie shook her head looking at Charlotte and then served her coffee.

Charlotte took a sip, setting down the cup, her voice calm and gentle in the vast office, like a wandering breeze, making the discussion of these dull rules seem less dry.

”Any company going public must satisfy the basic condition that the total stock capital offered to the public cannot be less than 50 million USD, which isn’t a problem for Hallow Clan. However, there is another condition: the number of shareholders holding stock valued over 10 million USD must not be fewer than a thousand people. Shares issued publicly have to account for over 25% of the company’s total stock. If the company’s total capital exceeds 400 million USD, the public issued stock ratio must be above 15%. It means the original shareholders at Hallow Clan surely exceed a thousand individuals.” As Charlotte spoke, she observed Annie’s somewhat stunned expression and smiled.

”The actual movement in Hallow Clan’s stock is just about 20% of its total capital.” Charlotte finished saying this, and Annie’s mouth was already agape.

”Such an acquisition is too challenging and it’s simply unattainable,” Annie thought of many possibilities, but she never expected that only 20% of Hallow Clan’s stocks were in circulation.

Even if they were to purchase all the circulating stocks, it still wouldn’t amount to much. There are always many unwilling to sell.

It was her research that wasn’t thorough enough.

”Wrong, Hallow Clan’s stocks haven’t circulated beyond 80%. Atlas Hallow holds 35%, Amir Hallow holds 30%, which already accounts for 65%. There’s an 8% stake that remains a mystery, and the final 7% was held by Hallow Clan’s executives back then.” She had been negotiating this for a long time, now many were willing to sell those shares in block trades.

She now had some confidence to secure that 7%. If she could acquire over 13% from the market, she could legitimately enter the decision-making tier of Hallow Clan.

This time she was entering Hallow Clan through her own efforts, rather than because Atlas demanded her to do so.

Back then, Atlas required her to work at Hallow Clan, not allowed to go anywhere. At that time, she always sought desperately to escape, but things were different now—she intended to enter Hallow Clan openly.

She wasn’t the woman behind Atlas Hallow; she was Charlotte Miller, who could protect her family.

This sentiment always urged her forward in this direction, pushing her not to stop.

Long ago, she thought that acquiring Hallow Clan’s shares was quite unattainable, and even now, it was truly challenging, the chances of surpassing Atlas didn’t appear many.

But a person always needs goals. Otherwise, what’s the point of living?

”Tonight, I plan to work overtime here; I guess you’ll need to brew me a pot of coffee.” She didn’t like staying up late, but as a news site irresponsibly reported without even bothering to blur a child’s face, it was worth trying.
