Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game

But Cecilia is different.

”I still don’t know, maybe ten days or half a month. Please don’t tell anyone, okay?” Cecilia’s voice carried a hint of exhaustion as she spoke, seemingly a bit helpless.

”Okay, of course...”

When Cecilia hung up the phone, the Fifth Young Master immediately made another call. The gentleness in his eyes vanished instantly, replaced by a cold and sharp demeanor.

Her hometown is a small place, finding out about her situation was as easy as it gets.

”Fifth Young Master, it’s a relative of Miss Wilson’s occupying her family’s old house and refusing to move out. It seems Miss Wilson wants to sell the old house.” Within a few minutes, someone from below had already reported on Cecilia’s plans and the troubles she was currently facing.

”If they don’t move, break their legs and toss them out, buy the house at twenty percent above the market price.” He said it nonchalantly and hung up, as if breaking legs was as simple as sneezing.

But in fact, dealing with a few unruly people really was easier for him than sneezing.

But why is she selling the house? Does she need money?

Why didn’t she tell him?

The thought of this made the Fifth Young Master feel a bit uncomfortable, as if he was being treated too much like an outsider?

He sat in his room with some frustration, not knowing what to do. He really didn’t know how to win a girl’s heart.

The housekeeper gently reminded him from outside the door, ”Fifth Young Master, Young Master Hallow is still downstairs.”

”Let him be by himself for a while.” The Fifth Young Master replied coldly, still sitting in his room, seeming to be in a bad mood.

The housekeeper wiped the sweat off his head, thinking that the Fifth Young Master wanted some quiet time for himself?

What exactly had Cecilia done this time to make the Fifth Young Master like this? Probably only Cecilia could do such a thing.

He didn’t know what the Fifth Young Master saw in Cecilia, who was thin, aloof, didn’t seem to have much on her, and was quite stubborn. Yet the Fifth Young Master was crazy about her, as if he had lost his mind. Just a few days without seeing her, and he seemed to have lost his appetite.

Women are truly calamities, and this calamity is even a deadly one.

”If we truly fight Oliver Baird, although we have the home ground advantage, we won’t gain much benefit.” The Fifth Young Master went downstairs after being in a daze for ten minutes. His voice had clearly dropped after Cecilia’s call.

Atlas Hallow didn’t speak, just looked at the slowly darkening sky, his eyelashes bathed in a sorrowful light.

Sometimes, from night to dawn, it can be very long or very short. Charlotte Miller’s night seemed a bit short.

She thought she’d have a good night’s sleep. There wasn’t much to pack, just a small bag. As she left the hotel, it was the best day of spring.

But that night was incredibly difficult for Atlas and the Fifth Young Master. They drank three bottles of red wine and a bottle of whisky, only leaving the Foster Family when the day broke.

The housekeeper suggested sending a Foster Family driver to take him back, or driving him back in his car, but he refused.

This amount of alcohol was nothing to him, not a problem at all.

The Fifth Young Master, however, had a harder time. He wasn’t a great drinker to begin with, and after drinking too much, he threw up, scaring the housekeeper pale, making the whole Foster Family courtyard seem like the sky was falling.

A family doctor was called, sobering dishes were cooked, porridge was prepared, yogurt was made, all sorts of remedies were thought of, but the Fifth Young Master didn’t eat anything, not even drinking the sobering tea, almost bringing the housekeeper to tears.

His health, which had just been nursed back to good, was ruined by one night of drinking, akin to reverting to past struggles overnight.

The housekeeper held the freshly cooked sobering dishes; it was already noon, but the Young Master still wouldn’t let anyone into his room. The sobering tea had been brewed over ten times by now, right?

Just then, the courtyard gate was pushed open.

The housekeeper naturally breathed a sigh of relief; Cecilia was back.

She was naturally the only one who could push the door open at this time; people were watching outside the alley, and it was impossible for anyone other than her to just walk into this alley, let alone push the door open and enter.

Cecilia, covered in dust, was carrying a little travel bag in her hand, which was clearly cheap. The housekeeper couldn’t help but frown; the Young Master only used the best and the most expensive things, yet he was interested in this woman.

Cecilia dashed upward in a jog, stopping next to the housekeeper. She took a couple of breaths to steady her breathing, then took the bowl of hot sobering tea from the housekeeper’s hands, and said, ”Please make some light porridge; I’ll handle things here.”
