Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game

She softly said to the other end of the phone, ”Mommy, I’m fine. I still have to take another call, so I’ll hang up now and call you back in a couple of days.”

After saying this, she quickly hung up and then used all her strength to struggle, turning her head to face Atlas Hallow’s deep, dark eyes, where there was a faint glimmer, like terrifying waves rolling in the ocean.

”I don’t want this. Are you truly having fun?” Charlotte Miller was indeed repulsed by this; without a mental connection, this act was utterly disgusting.

”A forcibly picked melon may not be sweet, but at least it quenches thirst...” Atlas’s voice escaped from his thin lips, landing on her back.

He’s almost dying of thirst, and he won’t endure it any longer from now on.

Knowing full well there’s no escape, yet Charlotte instinctively tried to break free and run, only to sadly realize there’s nowhere to retreat to. Outside lies the primal forest; if she runs out, even if Atlas doesn’t chase, without a Beast consuming her, she’d freeze to death.

Daring to escape at this stage?

Atlas’s eyes were filled with bloodthirsty danger, with Jesse Wright’s proud and unyielding chin, exuding a sinister and terrifying aura like that of a fierce Beast.

”I’ve been too soft-hearted with you, which allowed you to become so reckless.” The man’s voice was icy cold, his long, muscular legs stepping forward, grabbing her like a chick.

”I’m really not interested, Please...” Charlotte pleaded desperately, only hoping this man might suddenly have a change of heart and spare her tonight; thinking of being with him, she now feels quite unbearable.

Atlas’s frigid lips curled into a faint smile, his gaze fierce like a craving Beast: ”Charlotte, why can’t you ever be smart? You always beg me after making mistakes. Tonight, you deserve a proper lesson...”

He looked at Charlotte’s sorrowful eyes, those watery pupils seemed covered with a thin mist, tugging at his heartstrings.

How long has it been since he tasted her essence?

Charlotte is unique, almost like she’s cast a spell on him, making him uninterested in other women.

In fact, he’s never had much interest in other women anyway, but rather used them to vent excessive energy during his youth.

For days, he’s been suppressed to the brink of explosion.

He laughed as he approached, extending his long arm to encircle her stiff body suddenly tightening: ”If you don’t suffer a little, you’ll never be obedient.”

Who knows how long she lay on the carpet, her limbs feeling like they were disassembled piece by piece and reassembled, every joint swelling with a sore ache.

When she slowly opened her eyes after waking, a pair of distinctly bony hands appeared before her.

Atlas handed a cup of water to Charlotte, who lifted her heavy eyelids and glanced at him, seemingly disbelieving Atlas would do such a gesture.

Might he have put something in this water?

By now, she was already a frightened bird.

Yet, after a second thought, this concern seemed redundant; she was already at the worst, could it get worse than this?

The worst would be if he poisoned her with this water and kills her, but for now, she seems to still have some utility to him; at least her body is still being exploited by him, so it wouldn’t make sense to poison her now.

She was indeed thirsty, feeling as if her throat was about to explode.

This man understands human nature well and knows how to torture and strip away dignity; yesterday, he cruelly possessed her, today he offers her a cup of warm water upon her awakening.

She could not refuse this water — if she didn’t drink or, like in a drama, threw it in Atlas’s face, she was certain Atlas would make her suffer again, making her wish she were dead.

Charlotte took the cup of water, frantically gulping it down.

Drinking too hastily, she choked a few times, and the water slowly slid down, spilling from her lips onto her collarbone.

”You must be hungry, right? We’ll talk after dinner.” Seeing Charlotte now looking obedient and subdued, a small sense of triumph filled his heart.

With a bit of satisfaction, a smile formed at the corner of his lips as he reached out with a large hand to tousle her long hair, then headed toward the kitchen counter.
