Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 1132: Chapter 1132:- Training [IV], Last

Two more days quietly passed as the entire Celestial Dragon Empire waited for the first spark that would ignite the civil war. An uneasy calm hung over the Empire. Neither side made the first move. It was as though both factions were patiently waiting for the other to strike first so that the war could finally begin.

During this period, Aditya remained completely focused on his training. Today marked the third day since he had begun developing his new technique.

Compared to where he had started, his progress was enormous.

After countless failures and experiments, Aditya had finally solved the problem of launching the attack. He had figured out the correct way to use Gravity Manipulation to propel the compressed Crimson Flame forward without causing it to explode in front of him. The technique could now be fired successfully instead of detonating in his own hand.

However, A major problem still remained. The amount of time required to create the attack was simply too long.

When he had first started developing the technique, it had taken him nearly one minute and thirty seconds to fully compress the Crimson Flame, continuously feed it Mana, maintain the surrounding gravity, and create the two layers of rotation inside the sphere. Such a long preparation time made the technique completely impractical during an actual battle.

Fortunately, three days of nonstop practice had greatly improved his control.

He had become much more efficient at every step. The amount of time required to prepare the attack had fallen from ninety seconds to approximately sixty-seven seconds.

While that was a significant improvement, It was nowhere near enough. Sixty-seven seconds might seem short under normal circumstances, but during a battle between powerful cultivators, it was an eternity. An opponent would never stand still and patiently wait over a minute for him to finish preparing an attack.

If Aditya truly wanted this technique to become one of his strongest weapons…

He needed to reduce the preparation time dramatically. Only then would it become practical enough to use against enemies in real combat.

The biggest problem was not creating the technique itself. The biggest problem was the enemy Aditya intended to use it against.

His target was a 7th-order cultivator. Meanwhile, he himself was only a Mid 5th-order cultivator.

The difference between those two cultivation Orders was enormous. It was not a small gap that could be overcome through brute force alone. The higher a cultivator climbed, the greater the difference between each Order became.

A normal attack released by a 7th-order cultivator could easily injure another cultivator of the same Realm because it naturally contained enough power. Aditya, however, did not possess that luxury. If he simply gathered Mana and launched an ordinary Crimson Flame attack with his current cultivation, at best, it would be powerful enough to threaten a Beginner 6th-order cultivator.

That was nowhere near enough. If he wanted to seriously injure, or even kill, a 7th-order powerhouse while remaining a 5th-order cultivator, he needed to somehow bridge that enormous gap in power.

The problem was that his future enemies were not going to patiently wait sixty-seven seconds for him to finish preparing his attack. Not even the dumbest cultivator in the entire world would stand there doing nothing while he calmly built up his technique.

Unfortunately, that was exactly the problem. Even after three days of nonstop training, the technique still required around sixty-seven seconds to fully prepare.

To an ordinary person, a little over a minute might not sound very long.

But to cultivators of Aditya’s level, It was unbearably slow. This was no longer a battle between 1st or 2nd-order cultivators.

Powerhouses like Aditya, Victor, or any 7th-order cultivator fought at speeds ordinary people could not even perceive. Their reactions, movements, and attacks happened within fractions of a second. Although a battle between such experts might only last two or three minutes, thousands of movements, attacks, dodges, and counters could occur during that brief period.

From the eyes of an ordinary person, such a battle would appear to end almost instantly.

But to the combatants themselves, every fraction of a second mattered. Under those circumstances, spending over a minute preparing a single attack was simply unrealistic. That was why reducing the preparation time had become the greatest obstacle standing between Aditya and a technique that could truly be used in real combat.

Aditya once again found himself facing the exact same problem that had troubled him while he was sitting on top of the large stone two days ago.

The technique itself was no longer the issue. The real problem was the preparation time.

He needed something external that could dramatically reduce the amount of time required to prepare the attack. Otherwise, no matter how powerful the technique became, it would remain almost impossible to use against an opponent of the same level.

Of course, Aditya knew there was one solution.

Practice.

If he continued repeating the technique thousands or even tens of thousands of times, his body would gradually develop muscle memory. Every movement would become instinctive, allowing him to perform each step faster than before. Over time, he could probably reduce the preparation time from sixty-five seconds to perhaps fifteen or twenty seconds.

Maybe, even less. However, that solution came with one major problem.

Time.

Aditya simply did not have that luxury.

The civil war could begin at any moment. He could not spend weeks, months, or even years perfecting a single technique through repetition alone. Although his progress over the past three days had already been astonishing, to the point where he believed very few people in the world could match his learning speed, it was still not enough for what he wanted to achieve.

He quietly sat there, replaying the entire process in his mind once again.

Then suddenly, a thought flashed through his mind.”What if I added runes?” The moment that idea appeared, Aditya immediately became excited.

Without wasting another second, Aditya took out a small notebook from his Storage Ring and immediately began writing down everything he could remember. Every successful attempt, every failed attempt, and every tiny adjustment he had made over the past three days was carefully recorded.

As he analysed the technique step by step, he slowly realised something. Not every part of the technique required his direct control.

Some parts followed exactly the same process every single time, regardless of whether he wanted to create a weaker attack or one at full power. For example, the way gravity compressed the Crimson Flame, the balance needed to keep the flame stable, and the pattern used to create the two layers of rotation all followed fixed principles. They required extremely precise calculations, but once those calculations were correct, the process itself never changed.

That immediately gave Aditya an idea.

If those repetitive calculations could be engraved into runes, then the runes could automatically perform those tasks for him. Instead of constantly adjusting the gravity hundreds of times every second and carefully maintaining the two rotational patterns himself, the runes could handle those calculations with perfect precision.

Aditya would only need to create the Crimson Flame, continuously supply Mana, and decide when to launch the attack.

The more he thought about it, the more feasible the idea became. Of course, coming up with the idea was the easy part. Actually creating such runes would be an entirely different matter.

These were not ordinary runes used for barriers or simple enchantments. The runes would need to perform thousands of tiny calculations every second while constantly responding to changes inside the Crimson Flame. In essence, they had to act like an automatic controller that maintained the perfect balance between gravity, compression, and the two rotational flows.

Even for a 5th-order Runemaster, such a task would be incredibly difficult.

Still, Aditya believed it was possible. He was confident that, given enough time, he could eventually create those runes. The real problem was that he had absolutely no foundation to build upon.

There were no ancient records describing such runes. No previous Runemaster had ever attempted something similar.

There was no existing blueprint that he could study or improve. Everything had to be designed from the ground up.

This meant every rune, every calculation, every connection between them; He would have to create it all himself through endless experimentation.

Aditya slowly leaned back and let out a quiet sigh. “This entire process might take me weeks… perhaps even months.”

The estimate had nothing to do with doubting his own talent. It was simply the reality of the situation.

The civil war was likely to begin very soon. Once the fighting started, his days would be filled with commanding armies, planning battles, dealing with political matters, and personally participating in the war. Unlike now, he would no longer have the luxury of spending an entire day hidden inside the forest researching and experimenting with new runes.

Really, thank you very much to all those who sent support with valuable golden tickets and gifts. I hope we can keep it up!!!

With this chapter, this month comes to an end. I managed to upload 55 chapters, which is my best number since I began writing. Of course, next month, I will try to stick with the same number. But life is full of uncertainties.

I said I would finish the novel by last year, but life took an unexpected turn, and I completely burned myself out.
