Chapter 1190: DEATH! DEATH!! DEATH!!! DEATH!!!!

Asher stared downward towards the Soldiers of the Algorith Frontier who were prepared to pounce at the Velkarin Empire Soldiers. He sighed as he wondered why Damian didn’t just send out about two million Soldiers, so that two Soldiers of the Algorith Frontier could take on one Velkarin Empire Soldier.

It seemed fair enough after the Velkarin Empire Soldiers’ plans to ambush the entire Zarethorne Empire.

Instead, the man had teleported exactly one million Soldiers, which was even fewer than the number of Soldiers the Velkarin Empire had, as the Velkarin Empire Soldiers were a couple hundred more in terms of numbers.

Lyra, who was floating behind Asher, seemed to register her cue. Her Astra Energy flickered, and her body vanished from the battlefield as she knew she had nothing to do here. Participating in the battlefield wasn’t in her job description, unless the Young Master told her to step forward.

Asher floated downward as he decided to join the rest of the Frontier Soldiers below. Acker Holloway and Saitama Silverleaf, who were also beside him, floated downwards, their feet making contact with the ground.

Although Asher was focused on the Soldiers of the Velkarin Empire, he remained extremely sensitive to Astra Energy fluctuations. Acker Holloway, who was floating beside him, expended Astra Energy as he defied gravity. The cost was negligible, but it still required Astra Energy. But Saitama had remained in the air without Astra Energy, as the man simply floated in place by simply standing in the air.

Asher shook his head as he decided to stop thinking about unnecessary things.

”It seems you’ve been having a lot of fun, Tenth Sun.”

Saitama’s voice came as he crossed his hands in front of his chest, his eyes fixed on the Soldiers as he wasn’t giving in to the tension in the air.

”Amitabha.”

Acker Holloway replied as he too was in agreement. He had been in their room cultivating to break through to the next sub-Life Rank, yet the Hero was here having a lot of fun.

But Acker wasn’t exactly surprised that Asher had discovered this conspiracy. Wasn’t it the Hero’s job to uncover these things and shut them down before they could escalate? To him, this further proved that Asher was indeed the Hero.

Asher sighed at their words, he shook his head as he replied.

”I guess you two can join in on the fun now.”

His eyes remained fixed ahead as he spoke flatly, not taking his gaze off the Velkarin Soldiers.

At the vanguard of the lineup, Michael Novrak, one of the Vice Commanders, stepped forward with an expressionless face as he met the gaze of the three Regents. As he walked, his demeanor changed, his entire existence seemed to become the epitome of dangerous.

”It seems I and the Vice Commanders have become too relaxed in recent times to the point that about three million Soldiers from the Velkarin Empire were right under our noses, yet we didn’t know.”

He spoke, his tone calm and indifferent. He had already received a general overview of the information from the Commander before he flew away with the Grand Regent. Vice Commanders Vanessa Thorne and Ryuk Silverleaf had always gotten the same information overview.

”SOLDIERS OF THE ALGORITH FRONTIER, WHAT IS THE PUNISHMENT FOR THE INVASION OF OUR EMPIRE AND OUR FRONTIER?”

Michael Novrak changed as he shouted, his voice booming across the space, reaching the ears of all two million Soldiers gathered here.

Although the Commander might not have given a speech or said anything after their arrival, as this was just a small-scale skirmish in his eyes, it didn’t mean that he, or rather, they as Vice Commanders, wouldn’t say anything and rile up his Soldiers.

And at Vice Commander Michael Novrak’s words, the Soldiers from the Algorith Frontier didn’t hesitate to speak.

”DEATH! DEATH!! DEATH!!! DEATH!!!!”

Their voices boomed together and rose as though another explosion was coming. The air shook underneath their collective response, the earth below their feet quaking in tandem.

The three Regents couldn’t allow their Soldiers to lose morale since they’ve been exposed. They couldn’t allow Vice Commander Michael Novrak to hijack the battlefield, after all, the combat strength Soldiers displayed during Wars and on any battlefield was always connected to their courage, morale, and determination.

The First Regent stepped forward, his presence rising to meet that of Vice Commander Michael Novrak as he spoke in a loud tone.

”SOLDIERS OF THE VELKARIN EMPIRE, THE TIME TO AVENGE OUR ASSASSINATED EMPRESS HAS ARRIVED. THE TIME TO VENT OUR FRUSTRATION HAS ARRIVED. THE TIME TO SPILL BLOOD TO SATISFY OUR QUEEN AND OUR DEAD HEIR HAS COME!”

His voice reached the ears of everyone present, the atmospheric pressure trembling as it was about to collapse at any moment due to the gathered powerhouses.

First Regent and Vice Commander Michael Novrak locked eyes, their demeanors unflinching as their lips parted and they shouted to the peak of their lungs.

”CHARGE!!!”

At their words, Soldiers from both the Zarethorne Empire and Velkarin Empire didn’t hesitate. They stepped forward and vanished, their bodies blurs as they pounced at each other with pure determination and courage to kill the other.

The moment both sides met, the atmospheric pressure finally collapsed, slamming into both sides, but neither side seemed to notice as they were too busy tearing each other apart for their Empires. They were all ready to die here, they were all ready to become legends who died serving their Empire, they shall neither yield nor bend to their enemy.

The collective impact was devastating from the get-go, the cacophonous crash and shrieks of metals tearing into metal thundered outwards like a struck gigantic metallic bell. Swords moved, spears thrust, arrows were fired from their bows, daggers were unleashed, shields were raised in protection. Astra Energy flared from both sides in tandem, each person boasting themselves to kill the other side as soon as possible, then support their fellow Soldiers.

Some who were impatient skipped straight to using their abilities. Elemental Affinities of various types came alive, Wind blazed out in crescent arcs that tore apart the already torn battlefield, Flames burned anything in sight as the temperature skyrocketed, but the next moment the temperature dropped as Ice came alive, then Water too.

Earth under the Soldiers’ feet shot upwards in a spiked attack as if the ground had gained its own sentience. Lightning, Light, and other elements. Those without Element-based abilities moved, their own abilities causing varying destruction.

The battle had just started, but bodies were already hitting the ground as Soldiers were killed from the very onset, as some Soldiers had charged towards Soldiers that were higher than them in Life Rank and stronger.

The battlefield reached its boiling point from the very first second as the smell of blood in the air became extremely heavy to the point that both sides could taste it, but they ignored it as they moved regardless, they stepped over the corpses of the fallen, unwilling to falter.

In a battlefield of such scale, there was no healing squad, so everyone had to try and minimize their injuries. Yes, people with healing abilities existed, but could they heal other Soldiers, or were their healing abilities restricted to just healing themselves? Even if they could heal others, would the enemy they fought even give them the breathing space to go around healing their comrades?

Most definitely not.

The battle had only just begun, yet the battlefield had already descended into complete chaos.
