Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Leaving Feng Chen, Shu Yao, and Zu Fei to deal with Elder Song by themselves, Xuan Hao made his way back home before checking up on Qing Yi and Chu Yang condition. Not taking more than a few seconds to realize that both of them were fine. Outside of the fact that Qing Yi had not yet managed to wake up, still laying inside her room as her soul recovered from the stress it had been put under during the final fight before he had found both of them.

Chu Yang on the other hand had fully recovered and was currently chatting with his two younger disciples about their journey inside the mystic realm. Not showing any shame on his face as he gave a rather unrealistic description of how he had slain hundreds of powerful demon beasts in the Nascent Soul Realm.

”Oh well, at least it seems those two are feeling more inspired to cultivate because of it…” Shaking his head as said this to himself while observing how excited Mui and Bai Ning looked after listening to the nonsensical and absurd tales Chu Yang told them about his fights with the different demon beasts in the mystic realm, Xuan Hao decided not to interfere.

After all, if it could have a positive effect on his two younger disciples drive for cultivation, he wouldn’t mind. Especially when it came to Bai Ning, who would spend most of his time focused on blacksmithing instead of his cultivation, to the point where he had even managed to catch up to him when it came to blacksmithing.

Not only that, but Chu Yang also gave a rather heroic description of how he had come and saved them at the last minute, so who was he to interrupt?

Whoosh~

As he thought about this, Xuan Hao made his way back into his room before sitting down to cultivate.

Although he also wanted to spend some time improving his professions like he had first intended to do after returning to the sect from the mystic realm, it was more important to increase his strength so he could deal with someone in the Earth Immortal Realm.

This was not only due to the fact that the Star Shattering Sect would likely end up clashing with the Heavenly Dragon Temple at some point in the future but was also due to his earlier encounter with the two Earth Immortal Realm Experts from the Blue Sea Empire and the powerful snake demon beast.

The encounter not only allowed him to see just how strong someone in the Earth Immortal Realm was compared to someone in the Soul Ascension Realm, but the appearance of the snake demon beast also made him feel a sense of unease he hadn’t felt in a long time.

For all he knew, there might be other powerful demon beasts lurking inside the river flowing through part of the Sky Empire from the Blue Sea Empire… And at any moment, one of these demon beasts might show up and destroy a small empire like the Sky Empire.

After all, no matter how strong the current Sky Empire was, there was no way for them to resist a demon beast in the Earth Immortal Realm. In a sense, it could be considered lucky if the higher ups of the empire could escape in time to reconstruct the empire after the demon beast in question left.

”Well, I should be able to dedicate some time to improving my blacksmithing or I will really end up getting left behind by Bai Ning in the future…” Muttering this to himself as he glanced in the direction of Bai Ning who was still listening to Chu Yang’s tales of his and Qing Yi’s adventures inside the mystic realm, Xuan Hao closed both of his eyes as he focused all of his attention towards comprehending the Dao of Space.

Having already reached the Peak of the Elementary Realm of comprehension for the Dao of Space, he would not need too long to help promote it to the Small Success Realm.

After this, all he needed was to have one of the Daos he had comprehended reach the Large Success Realm and comprehend a brand-new Dao all the way to the Small Success Realm and he could be considered to have reached the Peak of the Intermediate Stage of the Dao Domain Lord Realm.

Although this would undoubtedly be a difficult thing to accomplish as he needed to comprehend a brand new Dao and reach a level of comprehension that he had no knowledge about, Xuan Hao had a feeling that it would be far harder to merge all of these different Daos together into his dao domain like the elder from the Mirage Sect had told him was how he had reached the Late Stage of the Dao Domain Lord Realm in the past.

I still have a long way to go until I can think about challenging someone in the Earth Immortal Realm…

Feeling the difficulty of the task in front of him, Xuan Hao decided to enter closed door cultivation for a few weeks to try and reach the Small Success Realm for the Dao of Space before thinking about what Dao he would try and comprehend for his sixth dao.

The matter of reaching the Large Success Realm was completely thrown to the back of his mind for now as he decided to first focus on reaching the Small Success Realm in six different Daos.

...

”I never expected the mystic realm to be so dangerous… Senior brother, did you really manage to outsmart so many Domain Lord Realm demon beasts!?”

At the same time Xuan Hao began his secluded cultivation back in his room, Mui was brimming with excitement as she said this after listening to Chu Yang describe his and Qing Yi’s encounter with the horde of demon beasts… Of course, he might have accidentally inflated the strength of these demon beasts to the Domain Lord Realm…

”Haha, of course! If not for the fact that we got cornered by that powerful demon beast towards the end and master had to intervene to save us, there is no way a few Domain Lord Realm demon beasts would have been able to catch me and your senior sister!” Not showing any shame on his face as he said this, Chu Yang could not help smiling happily as he saw the reaction of his junior sister.

Even if what he said wasn’t entirely true, it would not be too long before he reached the Domain Lord Realm and could do something like that, and it seemed to inspire his little junior sister and brother to cultivate. At least that was what he thought considering how fast he had managed to progress through the Nascent Soul Realm so far.

”Awesome! Senior brother, was the powerful demon beast you mentioned perhaps above the Domain Lord Realm!? From what I heard some of the elders talk about, the realm above the Domain Lord Realm seems to be called the Soul Ascension Realm and is faaaaaar more powerful than the Domain Lord Realm!” Saying this as both her eyes shone with admiration, Mui excitedly mentioned the Soul Ascension Realm that she had heard some of the elders talking about while walking through the sect.

Although she had no idea what the Soul Ascension Realm was, she understood that it was the realm that came after the Domain Lord Realm and people in this realm were far stronger than those in the Domain Lord Realm.

”Huh? Ah… Y-yeah, the powerful demon beast should have been stronger than a normal Domain Lord Realm demon beast, but I don’t know if it actually reached the Soul Ascension Realm. After all, there are nine different minor realms in the Domain Lord Realm, each stronger than the other…” Feeling a bit flustered when he heard Mui suddenly mention the Soul Ascension Realm, Chu Yang quickly tried to deny that the demon beast he had according to his story, fought off bravely for close to an hour before their master showed up and saved them had reached the Soul Ascension Realm.

After all, it was far too unrealistic for someone in the Nascent Soul Realm to fight off someone in the Soul Ascension Realm for over an hour…

”Oh… I see… But fighting a strong Domain Lord Realm demon beast in the Nascent Soul Realm is still difficult!” Showing a somewhat disappointed expression on her face after hearing that Chu Yang had not fought off a demon beast in the Soul Asension Realm, Mui quickly tried to cheer up Chu Yang, who had an increasingly embarrassed expression on his face.

Only now did Chu Yang understand that his little junior sister had no concept of any of the higher cultivation realms.

”…”

Even Bai Ning who had been silently listening to Chu Yang talk about the epic battles he and Qing Yi had been through inside the mystic realm, showed a somewhat wry smile on his face after hearing how Mui seemed to think that the Soul Ascension Realm was something that someone in the Nascent Soul Realm stood a chance against.

As for fighting someone in the Domain Lord Realm as a Nascent Soul Realm Expert, Bai Ning didn’t think too much about this, as he had heard of geniuses being able to cross a major realm and fight against stronger experts. Not realizing that this was something that happened in the lower realms, like a Peak Foundation Establishment Realm genius winning against someone at the earlier stages of the Core Formation Realm.

Not someone at the earlier stages of the Nascent Soul Realm fighting someone at the Domain Lord Realm!

In a sense, both Mui and Bai Ning had no real idea about the difference in strength between the different cultivation realms…
