Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

”I have no idea what the founder was thinking back then. Placing the Flying Sword Sect so close to such a dangerous seal...”

Shaking his head as he muttered this to himself, Xuan Hao glanced towards the black miasma below one last time before taking his leave after confirming that the sealing formation had not weakened.

In the first place, he had not come to try and comprehend the black miasma or try to understand the ancient formation that kept it sealed up... But only came to check if the seal was showing any signs of weakening since his last visit.

For now, the most important thing would be to continue repairing his damaged dantian and preparing to leave for the capital of the Sky Empire.

Trying to investigate the ancient seal could wait for when he returned from the capital of the Sky Empire and had fully recovered his strength.

Swish~!

Not caring about the fighting that was still taking place in the ruins of the Raging Flame Sect after having left the underground space, Xuan Hao did not stand around for even a second as he headed back towards the Star Shattering Sect.

From start to finish, none of the cultivators in the ruins of the Raging Flame Sect below noticed his appearance.

...

Ptsh-!

”Do you think he is dead now Bai Ning...?”

”Yes... I don’t think he will be able to do much in his current situation...”

Rolling his eyes as he said this, Bai Ning could not help looking away from the demonic cultivator that Hui Ying had just killed with no hesitation.

Compared to how afraid she had been when they had seen the dead town at the border of the Azure Sky Kingdom, Hui Ying had grown a lot. Even when she had just been faced with a similar situation a few moments earlier, she had been able to keep her calm and fight without the now dead demonic cultivator in front of her without any issues.

Over the past week. Not only had Hui Ying managed to grow a lot, but Bai Ning himself had also managed to grow in strength!

”That’s great! Now there is no way for this evildoer to do any more harm! Let’s get going, we still have to stop his companion before the demonic formation is completed!” Smiling happily after hearing Bai Ning confirm that the demonic cultivator was indeed dead, Hui Ying didn’t waste any time as she began moving towards the deeper parts of the town filled with the corpse of the villages that had once lived there

”Yes... Let’s get going...”

Knowing that they could not waste any time as it would risk the demonic cultivator still hiding in the deeper part of the town breaking through to the Higher Demon Realm, Bai Ning quickly followed behind Hui Ying as they moved towards the deeper part of the town together.

The town in question was not a very large town and should at most have a little over five thousand inhabitants before the arrival of a group of three demonic cultivators who had slaughtered the inhabitants to set up a demonic formation to increase their strength.

When the Bai Ning and Hui Ying reached the town, the demonic cultivators had already finished massacring the inhabitants and two of the demonic cultivators were already busy setting up the outer part of the demonic formation at the outer edges of the town barely finishing by the time both of them arrived at the outer perimeter of the town.

If not for the fact that one of the two demonic cultivators had screamed for their older brother to save them when Bai Ning had killed the first of the two demonic cultivators, Bai Ning and Hui Ying would not have any idea that there was still a third demonic cultivator hiding inside the town.

After all, the third demonic cultivator had not shown a single sign of appearing even when they had started fighting at the edges of the town!

From this, Bai Ning and Hui Ying could both tell that this demonic cultivator should be in a crucial state of setting up the demonic formation... Or maybe he just decided to ignore the two other demonic cultivators and decided to use the demonic formation to strengthen himself alone.

At least this way, the chances of this demonic cultivator breaking through to the Higher Demon Realm would increase by a lot compared to the demonic formation being used to strengthen three people...

BOOM-!

Just as Bai Ning and Hui Ying were about to reach the town square located at the centre of the town, a massive ball of blood red light rapidly gathered above the town square before exploding.

”Not good-”

”HAHHAHA, I FINALLY REACHED THE HIGHER DEMON REALM!”

Not managing to finish his sentence, a loud laughter filled with arrogance echoed out across the small town before a terrifying aura above that of the Foundation Establishment Realm spread out from the town square.

Higher Demon Realm! The demonic cultivator actually managed to break through to the Higher Demon Realm!

Frowning as he felt a shiver run down his spine, Bai Ning thought about what to do.

Escaping at this point in time would be impossible as the other party had already reached the Higher Demon Realm and was comparable to a Core Formation Realm Expert.

Fighting the demonic cultivator was not really a good idea either, as even if he had grown better at fighting, he was only a bit stronger than a normal Ninth Stage Foundation Establishment Realm cultivator. Far from enough to face off against a demonic cultivator who had already reached the Higher Demon Realm!

”Bai Ning... What should we do...?”

Similarly taken aback as a fearful expression appeared on her face after hearing the loud laughter and feeling the scary aura belonging to a demonic cultivator in the Higher Demon Realm, Hui Ying moved a bit closer to Bai Ning before asking.

”Why don’t we try and fight him?”

”Fight him!? But he reached the Higher Demon Realm! There is no way we can win!”

Hearing Bai Ning’s suggestion, Hui Ying showed a shocked expression before questioning his decision to fight the demonic cultivator.

This was a demonic cultivator in the Higher Demon Realm! A demonic cultivator comparable to a Core Formation Realm Expert! Even if there were two of them, there was no way for them to make up the difference of a major realm with only the two of them...

”We can’t escape at this point in time, there is no way he is going to let us escape after killing his two companions! Not to mention, we should have a chance of killing him now that he has just broken through and his foundation is still unstable!”

Understanding what Hui Ying was thinking, Bai Ning quickly explained himself and the reason for his decision to fight the demonic cultivator.

”That is... True... If we just wait, he will quickly stabilize his foundation with the help of the demonic formation and come chasing after us after he stabilizes his cultivation base. At that point in time, there will be even less of a chance for us to win in a fight...”

Reluctantly nodding her head as she understood Bai Ning’s reason for wanting to attack the demonic cultivator before he had finished stabilizing his new realm, Hui Ying looked towards the town square where the demonic cultivator was located.

With each passing second, the aura that had at first been extremely chaotic slowly started growing more and more stable with each passing second, they wasted contemplating their options!

”Ah! Let’s fight him! At least this way, we will have a chance at winning!”

Knowing that it was not a good idea to waste any more time than they already had, Hui Ying reluctantly agreed with Bai Ning to attack the demonic cultivator before he finished stabilizing his foundation.

Even if they might have a small chance of escaping if they ran away, the chance was close to negligible, as the town they were currently inside of was located in the middle of a massive empty plain that would make it easy for the demonic cultivator to chase after them.

Swish-!

Swish-!

Having come to a decision on what to do, both Bai Ning and Hui Ying rushed towards the town square. Ignoring the increasing number of dried-up corpses belonging to the townspeople along the way.

...

”Hahaha, I really reached the Higher Demon Realm! Second Brother, Third Brother, your sacrifice will not be in vain. Hehe, I will be sure to avenge you after I finish devouring the remaining blood essence in the formation and stabilize my cultivation base- Hm? Those two are actually not escaping... But are coming straight for me!? Hehe, can’t wait to die?”

At the same time Bai Ning and Hui Ying decided to fight with the demonic cultivator and moved towards the town square, the demonic cultivator in question quickly discovered them approaching as a disdainful smile appeared on his face.

After reaching the Higher Demon Realm and feeling his entire body brimming with newfound strength, he was no longer fearful of facing off against Bai Ning and Hui Ying like he had been when they had first appeared and killed his second and third brother.
