Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

”The founder… To be honest, what I know about our founder is not much more than you. After all, when I joined the Flying Sword Sect back then, the founder had already disappeared over 200 years earlier, and my master was the one in charge of the Flying Sword Sect.

Not to mention, the Flying Sword Sect was in a rather unstable situation inside the Heavenly Sky Kingdom when I joined.

In the end, I spent all my time trying to get stronger to help lessen the burden on my master’s shoulders. Asking about the founder who had disappeared hundreds of years ago was never something I thought about…”

Shaking his head as he said this, Feng Chen showed a sad expression when talking about his now gone master. Clearly reminiscing about his time struggling to increase his strength and help his master stabilize the situation of the Flying Sword Sect inside the Heavenly Sky Kingdom.

”…”

Seeing that Feng Chen was reminiscing about his past, Xuan Hao decided to not interrupt him as he slowly drank the tea in front of him while waiting for Feng Chen to finish reminiscing.

At the same time, he could not help frowning upon thinking about the founder of the Flying Sword Sect.

Even Feng Chen who had been the sect master of the Flying Sword Sect for hundreds of years had no idea about who the founder of the sect was nor did he have any clue about his origins and for what reason the Flying Sword Sect had even been established directly at the entrance to a mystic realm connected to the ancient Mirage Sect.

No matter how he looked at it, everything about the founder was simply too suspicious…

Could the founder be someone from the Mirage Sect? No, the Mirage Sect is clearly a sect that existed tens of thousands of years ago if not hundreds of thousands of years ago… But if the founder is not from the ancient Mirage Sect, how did he gain information on the mystic realm and the fact that it belonged to the ancient Mirage Sect?

What could it be, was the founder perhaps someone who lost power in a certain powerful empire and escaped to the Heavenly Sky Kingdom to slowly recover with the help of the mystic realm?

But then again… To gain information on a mystic realm that had once belonged to an ancient sect like the Mirage Sect, there is no way the founder would have simply been someone in the Nascent Soul Realm! But if that’s the case, the mystic realm would have been completely useless...!

”Haaaah…”

Feeling like his brain was starting to hurt thinking about the founder and his or her origin, Xuan Hao could not help letting out a long-drawn-out sigh before deciding not to think about it anymore.

The origin of the founder of the Flying Sword Sect was shrouded in a veil of mystery and he had no way to see through it and understand the actions of the founder nor get any clue as to why the founder had suddenly disappeared only a few dozen years after the establishment of the Flying Sword Sect.

”Ah- My bad… I just blacked out for a moment there…”

”No worries.”

Just at this moment, Feng Chen woke back up from his dazed state with a slightly embarrassed expression on his face.

”Ahm… Back to your question… The founder... What did master say about the founder when going over the sect’s history back then… Hm…”

Recovering from his embarrassed state, Feng Chen tried his best to remember anything his master might have told him in the past about the founder-

”Now that I think about, I think my master mentioned something about the founder just before he left this world… But… Back then, I was too sad upon finding out that my master was going to pass away to properly listen to anything he said…”

Recalling the event in question, Feng Chen sorrowfully looked in the direction of the Flying Sword Sect before focusing back on the matter at hand.

”If I’m not wrong, my master told me that the reason for the founder’s disappearance had something to do with an ancient seal weakening.”

”An ancient seal!? Did your master mention anything else?”

”Yes… If I’m not wrong, my master also mentioned that the founder had already settled part of the seal hidden in the Heavenly Sky Kingdom before leaving for the Frozen Wasteland where another part of the seal was hidden!

The last time my master heard from the Founder was just before the founder left for the seal located in the Frozen Wastelands…!”

Even if he had not been able to remember what his master had told him back then due to not wanting to remember the sadness of losing his master, Feng Chen easily managed to recall it when he truly wanted to.

After all, all things considered, he was still a Nascent Soul Realm Expert and had the ability to easily recall any moment in his life if he wanted to put in the effort of looking through his old memories.

”Ancient Seal? Part of the seal is located in the Heavenly Sky Kingdom… And… Another part of the seal is located in the Frozen Wastelands…”

Going over what Feng Chen had just told him, Xuan Hao could not help frowning.

The two parts of the ancient seal that Feng Chen had just mentioned could not be related to the seal located below the Raging Flame Sect and the mysterious crack that randomly teleported around the Frozen Tundra… Right?

After all, back when I first encountered the seal below the Raging Flame Sect back then, I had just recently broken through to the Domain Lord Realm and the black miasma located there was more than strong enough to instantly kill me… And that was not to mentioning the creature hiding inside the black miasma!

Shaking his head as he thought back to his encounter with the decayed palace and the black miasma below the Raging Flame Sect, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a certain degree of fear towards whatever had been sealed away inside the black miasma.

If not for the divine runes making up the seal of that place, it was doubtful whether or not he would have been able to escape alive back then!

Even after reaching the Ninth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm, Xuan Hao understood that the existence being sealed below the Raging Flame Sect was far beyond his cultivation realm. Even reaching the Soul Ascension Realm did not feel like it would be enough for him to face whatever had been sealed below the Raging Flame Sect in the ancient past…

But… If the seal below the Raging Flame Sect is truly only a single part of a larger seal, would that not mean what I encountered back then was just a part of that creature…

Slurp~

Not daring to think any further about it as he shivered at the thought of facing an unknown creature that had almost certainly surpassed the Soul Ascension Realm, Xuan Hao silently drank his already cold tea.

Deep down, he understood that to ensure the safety of not only the Shattering Star Sect but also himself, he had to find out more about the creature that was sealed below the Raging Flame Sect and more importantly… Find out how it was connected to the ancient seal that Feng Chen’s master had talked about!

Especially considering the fact that the seal below the Raging Flame Sect might be weakening if it was truly a part of the ancient seal that the founder had told Feng Chen’s master about!

”Looks like I will have to visit the seal below the Raging Flame Sect before leaving for the Sky Empire’s capital…”

Silently whispering this to himself when Feng Chen was occupied trying to remember if there was anything else about the founder that he might have forgotten to mention, Xuan Hao silently decided to visit the seal he had found located below the Raging Flame Sect before leaving for the Sky Empire’s capital.

…

”Haaa… Xuan Hao, I don’t think there is anything other than the ancient seal that master said the founder was going to check up on…”

”No worries at all, the information you provided me is more than enough! And… You should still not have finished looking through the ancient records you just found recently. Maybe after looking through them, you might be able to find out more information about the founder!”

”Hm… What you say makes sense… I hurried over here the moment I found out one of the old books contained information about the mystic realm and had no time to look through any of the other books and records we found!”

”Haha, I thought so!”

”Well then… I will get going and see if I can find anything!”

Swish~!

Seeing Feng Chen leaving, Xuan Hao could not help looking deeply at the book containing information on the mystic realm entrance located inside the Flying Sword Sect.

From the looks of it… The founder of the Flying Sword Sect was far more mysterious than he had first expected…
