Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

After Chu Yang broke through to the Nascent Soul Realm and became the first disciple of the Star Shattering Sect to reach the Nascent Soul Realm, his reputation quickly spread and he became known even among the youngest disciples of the sect due to his achievements of reaching the Nascent Soul Realm before the age of 30.

Not to mention the Star Shattering Sect, Chu Yang’s reputation even managed to spread outside the Star Shattering Sect and reach the ears of some of the different powers bordering the Star Shattering Sect.

To say they were shocked was an understatement, as most of them chose not to believe the fact that the Star Shattering Sect actually had someone break through and reach the Nascent Soul Realm before the age of 30.

The main reason for this, was that the strongest person in their kingdom or sect was still someone in the Nascent Soul Realm. Now someone below the age of 30 had reached the same major realm that their ancestors and elders had spent hundreds of years to reach. How could they possibly accept something like this!?

Among the different sects and kingdoms located close to the Star Shattering Sect, the ones who were already preparing to resist the Star Shattering Sect when they inevitably expanded didn’t believe the news that the Star Shattering Sect really had someone who reached the Nascent Soul Realm below the age of 30.

Thinking that it was just a lie made up by the Star Shattering Sect to intimidate them.

The ones who were the most outspoken about this, was a kingdom called the Flame Sky Kingdom, one of the strongest kingdoms located at the border region of the Sky Empire.

…

”They are clearly just trying to intimidate us into submitting to them! There is no way someone is able to reach the Nascent Soul Realm so fast. Even those geniuses from the Sky Empire aren’t that fast!”

At this moment several elders and other high-profile figures of the Flame Sky Kingdom had gathered together inside the main castle of the capital to discuss the news about the genius from the Star Shattering Sect. Among them, one elder was clearly at the centre, as he was adamantly against the Star Shattering Sect that had only recently showed up and overshadowed the Fire Sky Kingdom and the other powers at the border region of the Sky Empire.

”But they have a Domain Lord Realm Expert to back them up… Is there really a reason to make up something like this to intimidate others?” However, among the elders and high-profile people of the Fire Sky Kingdom, an elderly woman stood up and cast doubt on what the man said.

”Hmph! Elder Sheng Mei, what do you know?! I’m sure they know about the formation at the capital of our kingdom having the power to resist someone in the Domain Lord Realm and fear that our ancestors will breakthrough to the Domain Lord Realm!”

”The ancestors might be Half a Step into the Domain Lord Realm… But what will happen if none of them manage to successfully breakthrough? Are we just going to vainly resist until the Star Shattering Sect decides to launch an attack?

Don’t forget, the Star Shattering Sect is a sect. Not a kingdom and don’t follow the same way of fighting we do… They won’t declare war or something along that line, but will just attack without any warning, what will happen to the people outside the capital at that point? Will we just continue hiding inside the formation protecting the capital city? Not to mention, the formation might be able to resist a Domain Lord Realm Expert, but it will not be able to last forever!”

”You! How-”

Whoosh-!

”Sheng Mei, Hong Xuan, both of you quiet down! We will wait for the ancestors before deciding on anything… This matter is far too important for us to make on our own without the ancestors!”

Stepping in before the two elders belonging to the Flame Sky Kingdom started fighting each other, a middle-aged man unleashed his aura to calm the two elders down. Instantly showing off his strength at the Peak of the Nascent Soul Realm.

””Yes, your highness!””

Reluctantly giving up on saying anything more, both Sheng Mei and Hong Xuan stared at each other as they apologised to the middle-aged man located at a large throne not too far away from both of them.

From the way they addressed the man, it was clear that he was the current king of the Flame Sky Kingdom. Given his cultivation had already reached the Peak of the Nascent Soul Realm, it would not be odd for him to hand over his position to his most talented son or daughter and focus entirely on trying to reach the Domain Lord Realm and become an ancestor of the Flame Sky Kingdom.

All the past kings had done this… But the current situation did not allow him to step down to focus entirely on cultivation, as the current Flame Sky Kingdom was far too unstable with the emergence of the Star Shattering Sect to have one of his sons or daughters ascend the throne.

The main reason why the Flame Sky Kingdom was getting unstable after the emergence of the Star Shattering Sect, was due to the fact that if the Star Shattering Sect expanded to the size of a normal sect with a Domain Lord Realm Expert watching over it, they would surely end up being swallowed up.

For this reason, two factions had emerged inside the Flame Sky Kingdom. One side wanting to establish a friendly relationship with the Star Shattering Sect, while the other wanted to remain independent from the Star Shattering Sect.

The person who wanted to establish a friendly relationship with the Star Shattering Sect was headed by Elder Shen Mei, an old Nascent Soul Realm Expert that was older than even some of the Flame Sky Kingdoms current ancestors.

The one standing behind the move to remain independent was Elder Hong Xuan, a similarly old Nascent Soul Realm Expert that had once been a prince of the royal family before being thrown out after losing the battle for succession.

Both were people with massive power inside the Flame Sky Kingdom and was not people that the current king could afford to offend carelessly…

”Haaa… Everyone, we will end today’s discussion here for today…” Thinking about this, the king let out a sigh before sending everyone away. Silently lamenting about his fate inside his head.

Why did the Star Shattering Sect have to show up just when he was about to retire and focus wholeheartedly on cultivating…?

The king of the Flame Sky Kingdom wanted nothing more than to give his position over to one of his sons and daughters and enter the ancestral grounds to cultivate without a care in the world. However, none of his children were strong enough to do something like this. The strongest of his children was only in the Core Formation realm!

…

Similarly in a state of worry like the Flame Sky Kingdom, some of the kingdoms and sects located around the territory controlled by the Star Shattering Sect that wanted to remain independent, were worried that the news of Chu Yang becoming a Nascent Soul Realm Expert below the age of 30 might be a sign that the Star Shattering Sect would soon start expanding.

One month passed like this, then two… Three…

Five months passed by without anything happening and the kingdoms and sects started relaxing as they came to the realization that the Star Shattering Sect was not yet planning to expand.

However, this peace of mind was short lived, as news of the Star Shattering Sect accepting new disciples began spreading across the territory of these kingdoms and sects. Attracting the attention of many young people who had long since heard about the Star Shattering Sect at this point in time.

The Star Shattering Sect was the only sect with a Domain Lord in the border region of the Sky Empire. For this reason, the Star Shattering Sect accepting disciples for the first time since the sect had been established was more than enough to cause most of the young talents to take the risk and try to reach the Star Shattering Sect. Not bothering to enter a sect or kingdom close to them.

After all, entering a kingdom or sect supported by at most someone Half a Step into the Domain Lord Realm, or entering the Star Shattering Sect that had the support of a Domain Lord Realm Expert that was only known to these young people in legends… It was obvious which one was the best choice!

Even if they had to risk their life to reach the Star Shattering Sect, it was more than worth it if they could enter the Star Shattering Sect.

Not only would they not have to worry about their safety after entering such a powerful sect, but they might also get a chance to learn from a Domain Lord Realm Expert!

Giving these young people hope that they might be able to reach the Domain Lord Realm in the future!
