Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Having left the shore of the Pure Heart Island, the group of three soon arrived at the region Qing Yi had found on the map.

The place itself was located in a small forest made out of tall trees with glistering blue bark covering them, with close to no branches present before reaching the crown of the trees a few dozen meters in the air.

The crown of the blue trees was weirdly enough not following the colour of the rest of the tree. Instead, being covered in bright flowers of all sorts of colours.

”What a weird tree…” Muttering this to himself, Chu Yang could not help looking at the weird trees that had formed a small forest by themselves in front of him.

”Indeed, weird trees… They are known as rainbow crown trees due to… Well, their crown being covered in flowers in all the colours of the rainbow. Other than that, they also grew a rare spiritual fruit called the Rainbow Crown Fruit! It’s a well-known spiritual fruit from the Pure Heart Island. Sadly, its lifespan after being plucked is no more than a few days, so it’s not often found in places too far from the Pure Heart Lake…”

Explaining this as he looked up at the blue tree with their rainbow-coloured crowns, Huang Yongyu’s explanation caused Chu Yang to look up towards the beautifully coloured crowns of the rainbow crown trees. Hoping to spot one of the so-called Rainbow Crown Fruits Huang Yongyu mentioned.

Such a spiritual fruit was bound to be delicious…

”We should try and see if we can find any Rainbow Crown Fruits! I really wonder what they will taste like… What do you thi-”

”Remember the reason why we are here in the first place and don’t forget that there are also demon beasts in here! Let’s start searching for them by splitting up, so we can cover a larger area!”

Watching Huang Yongyu and Chu Yang as they talked about the weirdly coloured trees, Qing Yi interrupted Chu Yang as he looked like he was about to give up their sect mission to search for spiritual fruits. Reminding both him and Huang Yongyu about their reason for coming to the small forest in the first place before she began searching for the Pure Heart Spirit Grass by herself.

”…”

Chu Yang, who was about to ask Qing Yi about searching for the Rainbow Crown Fruits was both rendered speechless by what Qing Yi said. Unable to argue with what she said.

Indeed, they had only come to the Pure Heart Island for the Pure Heart Spirit Grass…

Not finding any way to disagree with what Qing Yi said, Chu Yang was forced to put aside his thoughts of tasting the Rainbow Crown Fruit to some other time…

”I will search over here!”

Huang Yongyu was not against Qing Yi’s suggestion in the slightest and happily began searching for the Pure Heart Spirit Grass.

No matter what, to avoid the Ghost Howl Sect, the best way would be for them to leave before they arrived and started up their expedition!

With this in mind, Huang Yongyu put forth all his effort and knowledge about the Pure Heart Island gained through growing up in the River Sect to use in searching for the Pure Heart Spirit Grass.

”The Pure Heart Spirit Grass is most often found being guarded by demon beasts, so the easiest way to find Pure Heart Spirit Grass, would be to find the demon beasts guarding them!” Muttering this to himself as a smile appeared on his face, Huang Yongyu switched from searching for Pure Heart Spirit Grass. Instead searching for any demon beasts that might live inside the rainbow crown tree forest.

…

”A demon beast… Now where is the Pure Heart Spirit Grass?” Looking down from a small hill he found himself on top of after tracking down a giant blue spider demon beast, Huang Yongyu quickly began to scan the surroundings around the blue spider demon beast

”Pure Heart Spirit Grass!”

Searching for the Pure Heart Spirit Grass, Huang Yongyu was the first among the three to finally find the first Pure Heart Spirit Grass neatly hidden underneath the giant body of the blue spider demon beast.

”Third Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm… I will have to get Chu Yang or Qing Yi to help me…” Determining the cultivation realm of the blue spider demon beast, Huang Yongyu quickly concluded that he would have to get Chu Yang or Qing Yi’s help before dealing with the blue spider demon beast.

No matter what, he had no way to deal with the demon beast by himself as it was at the Third Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm. Not really something he would be able to deal with given his current cultivation realm at the First Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm… That is not to mention the fact that he had nowhere near enough experience to deal with a demon beast two minor realms above himself!

Now I just have to leave without getting spotted-

Crack~

As Huang Yongyu came to a decision and took a step backwards, a brightly coloured blue branch had somehow found its way to the top of the small hill just behind him. Laying in the perfect spot for him to step on by accident. Even with no rainbow crown trees on the hill itself…

”…”

Looking down on the branch he had stepped on, Huang Yongyu felt like crying at the spot. Especially so when he realized that there was only that one branch on top of the small hill!

Even worse, the demon beast in question had clearly heard the sound of the branch snapping, causing it to slowly make its way over towards his current location.

Whoosh!

Not daring to stay around waiting for the demon beast in the shape of a giant blue spider to reach him, Huang Yongyu didn’t bother hiding from it any longer.

Rushing out from his current position, Huang Yongyu used all his speed to run away as he could. Making his way over in the direction that he, Qing Yi and Chu Yang had planned to meet up in after an hour of searching.

Pulling out his communication talisman along the way and contacting both Qing Yi and Chu Yang about his current situation. Hoping both of them could come and help him before he ended up at a certain blue spider’s dinner plate…

Swish~

Along with Huang Yongyu fully revealing himself, the blue spider demon beast’s eyes began shinning at the sight of what it believed to be a new meal. Instantly increasing its speed as it skittered across the forest floor effortlessly towards the now fleeing Huang Yongyu!
