Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox

The walk was long and strenuous, but she noticed a few things.

This ’forest’ was closer to a ’jungle’. Well, not just ’jungle’, but also a ’swamp’. The earth was muddy, so much so that Aiko almost sank to the bottom of it several times.

”I know that some Foxes said that mud-baths are nice, but I can’t see the appeal of it.” Aiko shook her head. The mud was cold and clingy, it would also harden on her skin, making any kind of movement difficult.

Other than that, this forest didn’t have any animals. There were no crumbly-bark or spiteful chickens running around.

There were no rocks around the river, just mud and mud everywhere.

It was both troublesome and upsetting, trying to traverse this damned thing.

However, Aiko managed to get to the other side thanks to some vines and other things.

Her outfit was sticky, but it fortunately didn’t go between her clothes and skin, otherwise it would be even more concerning.

’I might even recall on the spot if that happened.’ Aiko was clearly upset about this experience.

With the river cleared and lack of animals observed, she went back outside the forest to see what was wrong with that citadel.

The walls were as huge as ever, but there were no patrols around this time.

’So I was within the radius on the other side, but what about now?’ Aiko tilted her head. It was still night, so spotting all of them was a bit troublesome due to the plains, but one thing was for certain.

’The main gate opened.’ The citadel had 4 gates, all of them were main, and then around 16 side-gates and small openings, used for personal use, probably.

Aiko summarised this, but with the gate opened, there were wolf riders coming out.

They looked similar, no, exactly the same as those scouts from before.

Fortunately, it was night and Aiko had plenty of energy, and since those guys were not special uglies, she would not be discovered.

This proved to be the case when those scouts completely ignored where she was standing and ran around like headless chickens.

’It kind of feels like they are more aggressive than before...’ Aiko tilted her head as she observed them closely. They were not quite on the madness spectrum, but they were clearly unhappy about their situation.

’Is that because they couldn’t find me for a long time?’ Aiko tilted her head again. This was a reasonable assumption, but how would this end? Would they rebel?

’I kind of want to see if they really rebel...’ Aiko made plans inside her mind to stay here for a while. Another reason being that she couldn’t see any more villages, but that might be because it was night and the vision towards the horizon was greatly blurred. It was very much possible that another village just blended with its surroundings, making it harder to spot.

However, during the day that would change and Aiko should be able to see even something that was far in the distance.

She circled to the back of the citadel, not finding anything noteworthy. There were also no more structures behind this citadel, meaning that this might truly be the last village~!

Aiko waited for a moment before looking for a nice place where she could observe things while also resting properly. The rustling of the grass was fine and nice, once in a while, but because she spent so much time in plains, it was...

’How about I burn it.’ Aiko smiled happily as her fist hit her palm. It was such a genius idea to solve the whole rustling problem.

’And I don’t even have to stick around for that to happen~’ Aiko hummed happily. She was a genius and the only thing she needed to do was cast the [Fire Sea] and then recall!

Her magic was now weaker, since she didn’t have the proper outfit, but that’s not what she really needed. This place only needed a spark and the grass should go up in flames, or at least that’s what Aiko thought.

She cast the [Fire Sea] and recalled immediately. The time changed with the recall since her safe area didn’t have the concept of a night yet.

’It would be nice.’ Aiko nodded her head when everything around her suddenly turned dark.

Her lips twitched, her face twitched, everything twitched. She felt like someone was trolling her at this point, but that couldn’t be the case, right?

A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

Well, Aiko still went into her house. It kind of felt like the safe area had a concept of night and day, but her mind was murky for some reason. She didn’t even remember how that impossibly infinite wall was created, but it did guard her against external threats, so she was just happy it existed.

Aiko went to bed, sleeping almost immediately as it was dark outside...

A small squirming blob joined her under the sheets, resting comfortably.

...

The next day, Aiko woke up rested. It was kind of hard to tell if this was any different from her usual resting, but it was definitely nice.

’Let’s get some lingerie.’ Aiko nodded her head. She was aiming for the nightgown to be exact, since she would have to spend several days around the last city, she wanted to make them as mad as possible.

’I don’t want to expand the tent though...’ Aiko wouldn’t have that much room for entertainment and food too, so she had to consider things carefully.

Her main goal was to rest comfortably and wait for them to go mad, maybe something would happen that could help her, but even culling their numbers slightly would be a good thing.

The citadel was absolutely massive, much bigger than anything she encountered in real life. Even the former Fox Village was smaller compared to this, so it was estimated to have around a million or two of uglies inside.

Aiko walked into the familiar clothing shop. Her Spirit Slime was clinging to her even when she tried to place it down from her bed onto the floor.

Well, this time the Spirit Slime was a bit warm, so Aiko didn’t notice sleeping with it, but during the morning it felt weird keeping it inside her bed. She was so familiar with that feeling that it scared her.

Anyway, inside the clothing store, she went into the direction of the nightgown category looking over it.

There were many colourful nightgowns, sexy and smexy. You could find many interesting things inside here, including but not limited to: Normal, sexy, smexy, seductive, rope-based, silk-based, dress-like, translucent, glowing, and so on.

It was hard to choose one, but Aiko had a few criteria which cut the numbers a lot.

Her first criteria was material. It needed to be soft and comfortable, a bonus point if it felt good to touch through.

She didn’t care about the translucent part, but she did care about anything that would restrain her body, anything that hugged her body too tightly was a no-go.

Another thing she had to look out for was the overall composition. It couldn’t be one piece, just in case it was too hot or too cold. She wanted to have a simple inner piece that would work even in hot climate and then a middle piece that could keep her warm in a mild climate and lastly the outer piece that would keep her warm in the cold climate!

It was such a brilliant move that it pleased Aiko, but her nightgown selection decreased to a single one.

Aiko smacked her lips. ”It’s the sexy/ra-vishing kind.” She nodded her head. It was fortunate that nobody would see her in this, or they might actually push her to the ground.

”Well, not that they would succeed anyway.” Aiko was comfortable in this space and place. She also believed that nothing would happen to her as long as she didn’t walk outside without precaution. Her main precaution being her stealthy ’tent’.

”Hmmmm.” Aiko had that familiar smirk. ”Maybe I should bring a box for ’entertainment’, who knows how long I will stick around there~” She hummed ’innocently’ but was already making plans in her mind.

’What if I invited Yue?’ Aiko’s mind stilled when she imagined Yue playing with those toys.

She gulped nervously. ’Crazy... Let’s not do that.’ She might even convince her to ditch Chen Shi, but that would feel unfair towards him. He might have screwed up mind, but it was admirable that he protected Yue over her reincarnations and so many times at that.

’I wonder how old he actually is.’ It was difficult to estimate the age of Human Cultivators. Some read the bones, which was bullshit by Aiko’s standards, while others were relying on Divination, which was also bullshit since it would consume too much to know someone’s age if they were too old.

No Divination Cultivator would risk that kind of thing.

Walking into the dressing room. Aiko threw her clothes aside to test this nightgown. It had more pieces than she expected, but that was not necessarily a bad thing.

The first would be the underwear. The cute silky see-through bra with lace in certain places. It was soft and fit her...

”I’m not flat.” Aiko glared at whoever was ’watching’ her.

Her underwear were closer to bodyshorts with ’wings’. As for colour, it was soothing pink.

The next part was an attachable corset. Well, calling it a corset would not be right. It didn’t try to restrict her body, it was soft and slightly stretchable, creating a comfortable feeling under her boobs and around her middle of stomach. Her belly button was still exposed, but she could pick the longer corset that would attach itself to her bodyshorts and bra at the same time.

Then there were designs where her sides were exposed, her back was exposed, or belly button was exposed. It was quite suggestive, but Aiko only picked two.

The completely wrapped up, just in case it was cold and the one with exposed back and belly button. It felt like these two were the best when she wore them.

The completely wrapped up was obvious, for temperature, but the other one was because she liked to flex her back, and it would be difficult if there was fabric. She wouldn’t be able to get a good grip and might even accidentally tear something off.

Another part of this would be the middle layer. It came kind of like a short dress piece.

This started as either chemise or babydoll style nightgowns. It outlined her perky boobs quite well, but the dress ended just below her private parts, making it more suggestive than she anticipated. It was also slightly less see through, making it much more arousing than the skin layer.

However, it provided a nice transition, it was also soft and breathable, so Aiko liked it.

Then there was an outer layer. It was kind of like the bathrobe, but not quite. You still had the waist silk belt that you tied yourself, and it reached all the way to her ankles. It was an impressive piece that even had a foldable neck cover. It was usually folded down, accentuating the neck part, but if you wished, you could pull it off and conceal everything. This piece was not see-through at all. It was also slightly thicker than all other pieces combined. This was purely a piece for warmth and Aiko knew it, but the softness was great!

”Ah, I want to bring this out~” Aiko licked her lips. She quite liked these pieces, minus points for not making her boobs bigger, but that was beside the point!
