Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox

The more frail Foxes were taken care of by Mei and Witch Aiko together and it was quite a rewarding endeavour.

She was able to understand much more about the bodies, Beast Cores and other things, only thanks to Mei’s careful guidance.

’Well, Moon Aiko will be happy.’ Witch Aiko seriously nodded her head, since she was happy too, but for different reasons.

[You have been afflicted by ####.]

[Your body is unable to suppress it.]

[Your [Primordial Intoxicating Sacred Lotus Physique] is growing rapidly.]

[Your [Primordial...]

[Your [Primordial...]

[Your [Primordial...]

[Your [Primordial...]

[Your [Primordial Intoxicating Sacred Lotus Physique] has been completed.]

[As this is Immortal Physique, you will only be able to access things from the Mortal World branch.]

[However, most things will still be accessible while you are in danger.]

[Your Bloodline [Captivating Witch of Illusive Dreams (Peak: 17->20%)+[Dew Origin] is undergoing changes. It is advised to mingle your energies in ’Moon’ Form for best effects.]

[Your body is being limited in growth to prevent any mishaps. The time until completion is unknown and depends on the amount of Beast Core energy that you will consume over time.]

[You have used Lost Technique for the first time. You will be rewarded 1 million Cultivation Points.]

[The target of the Technique was afflicted with #### and other Immortal Ailments. As such her body regressed to the very beginning.]

[She already has a Beast Core, so please nurture her carefully and don’t let her eat anything bad or concerning.]

[Her mind will not regress, and her growth is dependent on the materials you can offer her.]

[Materials closer to her element will greatly boost her, while opposite elements will harm her, so please be careful with what you give to her.]

[You have taken the first step in Beast Taming. Your current Beast Capacity is 2.]

[This capacity will increase over time as your Beasts grow stronger and independent.]

[Please keep in mind that this technique will also strengthen your elements over time, so it’s better to pick Beasts with similar elements for the time being to prevent mishaps.]

Witch Aiko was slowly and carefully reading through them. This was quite amazing in itself, but to think she would get even more things.

[You were able to convince a powerful Beast to become your Beast Familiar. You have obtained 100 thousand Cultivation Points.]

[Your Physiques are mingling together while your Bloodlines are roaring. It’s better to maintain the status quo for the time being for them to settle down. Please don’t consume resources that might raise your affinities.]

Witch Aiko nodded her head.

[Primordial Intoxicating Sacred Lotus Physique]

[Rarity: Immortal?]

[Description: A rare Immortal Physique that gives you immunity to most poisons and the ability to freely manipulate them. (This depends on your prowess.) You can cultivate a Sacred Lotus inside your body that will allow you to boost your natural Qi gathering among other things. (Please discover them over time.)]

’They could’ve shared more.’ Witch Aiko pouted, but this was not too bad either. She was at least able to know that she was immune to most poisons and be able to cultivate some interesting things.

’I wonder what that Sacred Lotus is...’ Witch Aiko was very curious, but she didn’t know if this was part of the ’affinity strengthening’ so she would leave it for the time being.

[Contracted Beasts: (1/2)]

[Xinyue - Animal (Contracted Heavenly Doe?)]

’Interesting.’ Witch Aiko clicked on it to see the stats.

[

Name: Xinyue

Mark: Aiko (Harmony Contract Technique)

Species: [Heavenly Doe? (Female, -, Normal Horns)

Bloodline: ???

Beast Rank?: Animal

Profession: [Heavenly Healer]

]

[More things will unlock as she progresses through the Beast Ranks.]

’This is cool.’ Witch Aiko nodded her head, but there were a few problems.

First, she didn’t know the element of Xinyue, so she would have to be careful about what she would offer to her.

Moreover, she also didn’t know how strong she was, so she wouldn’t be able to go into combat any time soon.

’That means I will have to buy Beast Cores of high quality.’ Witch Aiko couldn’t really take what Mei hoarded since it was important for the negotiations-

’Wait, I can get them from the bird lady, no~?’ Witch Aiko chuckled and the little doe shivered.

”But seriously. You are quite cute...?’ Witch Aiko noticed that the little Xinyue was guarding something.

She snatched it under her. It was a tiny marble.

’Give it back!’ Xinyue immediately flipped out at Aiko.

’I see...’ There was what looked like a Holy Deer inside this and since he was talking about his sister...

”I will keep it with me, since you don’t have the means to keep it.” Witch Aiko nodded her head seriously. With this the little Xinyue would follow her for a while and be more amicable.

’...’ Xinyue could only give up. It was good that she was alive, and she never thought that she would be back in her body.

’Although I will miss the fun with my little brother...’ Xinyue was so used to his male body that it was quite strange to be back in what was originally her body.

Witch Aiko looked over her system. She had over a million Cultivation Points so it would be a good idea to spend it soon.

[Missions will be postponed, since this place doesn’t have enough #### to use.]

[The mainland will be perfect for normal missions and special Realms will be used for more advanced missions.]

[As you progress further the missions will get harder, but you will also be able to earn more.]

’Okay...’ Witch Aiko was a bit sad, but her current missions were still running!

[Poison Empress]

[Unable to be completed due to unique circumstances.]

[Obtained [Physique Token]!]

[Bloodline Token]

[Allows you to optimise one of your physiques to better match your body.]

’Let’s use that later.’ Witch Aiko nodded her head. She was puzzled by the censorship before, but it was probably to protect her from something.

After all, she did mess with the Contracts, so the less she knew the less she would be targeted.

”The Foxes are recovering well, how are you feeling?” Danji came over. She checked on everyone with her Blood Abilities and didn’t find anything strange inside them.

However, what was shocking was that she was unable to control the blood she consumed and the meat around was constantly rotting, not just itself, but the surroundings too.

”It’s fine I suppose.” Witch Aiko didn’t know how to feel, since the smell was quite... yeah...

”We should burn it, but touching it carelessly will be dangerous.” Mei came over too. It seemed like she didn’t want to be outdone by Danji.

”I can’t control part of my blood, so I can use it by wrapping it around the meat and placing everything in one place.” Danji suggested, since the blood was useless to her.

”But who will burn it?” Mei rolled her eyes. This plan had too many holes to make it happen.

”I know of someone.” Witch Aiko smiled happily, but the Foxes around her groaned with some apprehension.

”What?! How rude!” Witch Aiko pouted her lips. Why didn’t they like the cute Sun Aiko?! Sure, she was a bit mischievous, but who wasn’t!

Mei shook her head gently. ”Let’s first move the Foxes away from this place. We don’t know if it will keep spreading or not, but the smell is definitely not helping anyone to recover.”

”Unfortunately I can’t help you with that.” The Nightmare Owl popped out of nowhere.

”Kya!” Witch Aiko slapped him, since she was startled. Unfortunately or maybe fortunately she was not holding any sticks, otherwise it would end up in an unfortunate ’location’.

”Why...?” The Nightmare Owl sniffled.

”What why? You know why!” Witch Aiko huffed. Why were there so many Beasts that just ignored her Elemental Affinity! She was supposed to be suppressing them!

”I’m stronger.” The Nightmare Owl chuckled. Since they would be leaving this place, both of them were eating the Beast Cores that would benefit them the most, allowing them to advance quite smoothly.

”I feel like I’m being left behind...” Witch Aiko was quite unhappy about that part, but for some reason her group thought otherwise.

”You are doing fine.” Danji spoke first. ’I can’t be left behind again.’

”You don’t need to hurry, just take it one step at a time.” Mei chuckled at her. ’How am I supposed to match her speed when she is so quick! And I’m relying on Immortal World knowledge just to keep up!’

”You need to train your body more.” Dai Lu was laughing inside her mind from the thoughts that others had, but... ’Doesn’t that mean that I will be an ”Elder” for only a few more years before I get surpassed?!’

Everyone had their own thoughts. Only the Twins didn’t really mind, since their target was each other, so they didn’t need to be stressed about hierarchy.

”...” Witch Aiko’s lips twitched. Why did those words sound so unconvincing? Were they making fun of her or were they worried about something?

’Even if I think about it, I won’t be able to figure it out.’ Witch Aiko shrugged, no longer thinking about it.

”Okay, let’s start moving the Foxes.” Witch Aiko smiled, but where would they move them?

”I can’t help, but I can guide you to the Earthen Elephant territory.” The Nightmare Owl chuckled.

”Will it be safe?” Witch Aiko was concerned and-

”Oh, right. What about the soup, did it spoil too?” Witch Aiko was quite hungry, now that her stomach was completely empty.

”The soup seems fine.” The bird lady checked her Spatial Ring, she stored it there so that it wouldn’t bother anyone when they were roasting the meat.

”So only the Nasty Deer had bad meat?” Witch Aiko nodded her head slowly.

”Ah right, I will talk about that later.” Dai Lu nodded her head seriously, still holding that cute piggy in her arms.

”Nasty...” The bird lady was startled by that nickname and was worried about hers. ”Well, that’s right, it seems like only the Holy Deers were affected. Our Clan and the others were not affected.”

”Good, I was worried that the other Clans might end up the same.” Witch Aiko nodded her head.

”In our territory nothing like that can survive.” The bird lady snorted proudly, but she kept glancing at her with eyes saying: Contract me, Contract me now!

Witch Aiko chose to ignore that gaze and looked around. ”Do we have to move things?”

”I can do that.” The Nightmare Owl was trying to please this Fox so that she would visit their territory next.

”It’s a lot of furniture.” Witch Aiko narrowed her eyes.

”Don’t underestimate silent assassins and their riches.” The Nightmare Owl smirked.

”Oh, then can I expect nice rewards~?” Witch Aiko smiled sinisterly, but the Nightmare Owl just nodded happily, completely silencing her...
