Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox

Dai Lu arrived at the camp, only to see the Foxes vomiting and wobbling around.

”Seriously...” Mei groaned as she handed laxatives around so that the Foxes could feel better.

”Hehehe...” Witch Aiko chuckled weakly. She had this ingenious idea to use [Jaws of ####] on her stomach to empty it, but there were still some lingering things that she couldn’t empty.

”What happened?” Dai Lu was shocked when she saw everyone in this predicament.

”What happened to you?” Mei noticed how pale Dai Lu and her entourage were. She didn’t think Dai Lu was doing anything dangerous, so seeing her like this greatly distressed her.

Dai Lu narrated the situation while also trying to understand what happened over here.

”Well, we need to rewind time a bit...” Mei sighed.

-----

*Nom Nom*

”He might be a bastard, but this meat is damn delicious~” Witch Aiko hummed happily. Moreover, he was regenerating constantly, so everyone would be able to get a piece! The blood was also delicious, which made her very conflicted.

”This doesn’t even need seasoning, but if we are careful with it, we can still season it~” The bird lady hummed, feeling happy that this little Fox was enjoying the food.

”I have gained some serious Vitality thanks to this~” Witch Aiko was very happy about that part in particular, since it meant no smelly Pills!

”Then keep eating~” The bird lady also roasted meat for herself. She loved the fact that her biggest antagonist was dealt with so clean-

*BLEGH*

Almost everyone at once suddenly felt nauseated, the bird lady was no exception.

Only Mei and some others who didn’t really want to eat the game that was alive, so they were feeling fine and confused about the situation.

”What’s wrong?” Mei sharpened her senses when she was suddenly hit with a rotting stench.

Following the scent, it was that bastard Deer that was rotting, but it was not just him, the other Holy Deer were also dead and rotting, like they were here for weeks!

Mei immediately looked into her Spatial Ring. She was looking for Pills that would be able to clear this mess since it was obvious what was happening in everyone’s stomachs.

”I’m sorry...” The bird lady apologised weakly, she never expected this kind of trap and was concerned about everyone.

”You should lie down, your Soul is not even healed and you are already putting strain on it.” Mei sighed. Everyone was so reckless, but this kind of trap was seriously vicious.

”How are you doing?” Mei came over to Aiko first, since she was the most important part of her life.

”Hehe.” Witch Aiko chuckled as she used [Jaws of ####] on her stomach.

The dark liquid passed through her body and she was feeling better, but...

”My stomach hurts, it didn’t work...” Witch Aiko sobbed. She never expected such delicious meat to stab her so viciously. She was even considering going vegetarian right now!

Mei injected some of her Beast Core energy to see what was wrong with Aiko. Fortunately, her stomach was completely empty for some reason, maybe possibly because of that black liquid, but the inside walls were already corroded by whatever that was.

”Here is Revitalising Pill and Healing Pill. I hope you know how to use them.” Mei narrowed her eyes as she warned Aiko about circulating her energies.

”I know...” Witch Aiko groaned as she took those Pills.

The simplest way to use the Pills is to keep circulating them in one’s body and letting the body naturally absorb it. However, since Witch Aiko was more skilled, she could use the second way.

You still had to circulate your energies with the Pills, but the next step would be to focus that energy on the place where you were injured. This allowed much higher efficacy of the Pills on the given injury and there would be less energy wasted.

However, this was very straining so if you were too injured, it was better to just let the energies mingle, without focusing them on a single point.

Fortunately, Witch Aiko was not in such a dire situation, so her complexion was improving in real time.

”That looks nasty...” Danji poked the now rotting Holy Deer.

”Enjoying the blood?” Mei couldn’t help but throw a snarky remark her way.

”The blood is fine for some reason, well the blood that didn’t touch the current corpse.” Danji explained, completely ignoring Mei’s jabs since she knew that would anger her more.

”Alright, fine. Help me out distribute these.” Mei rolled her eyes at her for being ignored.

”Sure.” Danji would naturally help, since these were Aiko’s Foxes and not Mei’s. Well, at least that was the general consensus, since Mei was too scary.

-----

”I... am sorry?” Dai Lu frowned that she caused this whole disaster.

”You shouldn’t be, but I didn’t expect something so crazy to happen.” Mei shook her head. ”Now come here and let me look at you.” She didn’t feel anything off about Dai Lu, but she would check just in case.

”Thank you...” Dai Lu pursed her lips. She was greatly pained by the Foxes groaning on the ground or Foxes that were using the private toilets to let it rip.

Mei used the same technique that she used on Aiko to check on Dai Lu, but there was nothing wrong with her.

There was some residual energy around the base of her tails, but that was probably still from the trauma of having her tails cut, those residual energies will start flowing the longer she keeps her tails attached.

”There is nothing wrong with you, but you should check your mind just in case.” Mei couldn’t check that since Dai Lu was stronger and if something was wrong with her mind then Mei would naturally get severe backlash and become crippled thanks to it.

Mei turned around to nurse the other Foxes. Well, she was mostly stuffing them with Pills that would allow the Foxes to naturally and very quickly recover.

”...” Dai Lu didn’t know if what she found was worth it, but she would still show it to Aiko.

Meanwhile, Witch Aiko was flabbergasted.

[You have obtained 1,000,746,112 Cultivation Points.]

Witch Aiko rubbed her eyes several times if she saw correctly.

What did she do to deserve so much?!

[The Cultivation Points are gained from defeating a ’Foe’ that is clearly ’Evil’ aligned.]

[First you have defeated a ’Holy Deer’ that used their bodies in Sacrificial Ritual to attain Immortality at the expense of others.]

[Later, individual ’Dai Lu’ went into the Holy Deer Clan to see the Beast that was captured by the ’Ancestral Holy Deer’. However, due to your influence, the future changed from killing the Beast to bringing it over and as such you have obtained the Cultivation Points associated with it.]

[And it just so happens that we have perfect Technique for you Princess.]

Witch Aiko nodded her head happily until the last part. ’You are going to rob me, right?’

[Harmony Contract] - 1,000,000,000 Cultivation Points

’Yep, thought so.’ Witch Aiko knew she would be robbed, but first she would at least read the description.

[Harmony Contract Technique]

[Rarity: Immeasurable]

[Description (Short): The very first Technique that allowed the connection between Human and Beast (Or any kind of variation, including Beast x Human). It was an unprecedented Technique that allowed you to connect with your Beast intimately and grow with them. The Beast allowed you to use their Elemental Affinity, even in Human Body Stage, while the Beast would be allowed to cultivate with them longer and balance their inner energies.]

[Effects:

1. It returns the Beast to the point of their origin, healing all their wounds and hidden ailments.

2. The Beast is allowed to keep all Bloodlines, but they will become {Dormant} until reactivation.

3. The Beast won’t share life with the individual, unless their affinity is high enough.

4. The Beast and Human can exchange energies, allowing them to heal quicker and disperse foreign energies. (The latter depends on Elemental Affinities and Beast Rank.)

5. ...

6. ...]

Witch Aiko’s eyes bulged. This was beyond incredible as it touched the very fabric of creation. The Beast would be healed, no matter what kind of ailment they had. They would also keep their Bloodlines among other things.

This was simply incredible and it made sense why the rarity was written as ’immeasurable’.

For comparison, this is how a normal Contract looked like.

[Supreme Contract Technique]

[Rarity: Piece of shit]

[Description: A Technique that allows you to enslave Beasts against their will. The Beast will be restrained to the given Beast Rank it was captured at and won’t be allowed to grow any longer. If the individual dies, the Beast also dies. There are further supporting Techniques that allow you to transfer damage or ailments to the Beast, allowing you to heal quickly. The Beast is absolutely obedient and will listen to all your command, or unimaginable pain will assault them and slowly break their Souls.]

Witch Aiko immediately clicked purchase, since this was something she wouldn’t be able to obtain otherwise.

[Phew. Now the others won’t be able to bitch about us giving you good stuff.]

”?” Witch Aiko was confused, but it seemed like it was a good thing that she purchased it quickly.

[It’s because the Primordial Dao didn’t want to break the balance. Don’t worry about it too much~]

Witch Aiko felt like the system was sassier this time, but she didn’t mind it.

The [Harmony Contract Technique] was stored in her system inventory and she could click it any time to learn it, but since she was still not feeling completely all right, she would wait for a while until using it.

She also only had her Spidey to Contract for the time being, so she was not in a hurry.

She also wanted to buy some more abilities, but again, that could wait until a bit later, since the other Foxes were still in pain. And while Witch Aiko was doing better, it was better to not overdo it.

Witch Aiko helped Mei distribute the Pills, so that she could speed this process up and she also felt better when she was moving around, so she was quite happy about it.

She also saw Dai Lu staring at her with something in her hands, but Witch Aiko decided to ignore it for the time being.

’What if it’s new training tools...’ Witch Aiko shuddered. She liked to train, but she didn’t like to train with Dai Lu. She often didn’t restrain her strength which pained Aiko from time to time...
