Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox

The girl sat nearby. She was a completely ordinary girl if you looked from afar.

Black hair, simple peasant dress, there was nothing outstanding about her.

Witch Aiko observed her for a little more before paying attention to the large lake.

It was getting bigger and bigger the longer she observed it.

”There must’ve been a massacre. Only once before it was this big.” The girl spoke softly, but it was obvious she was pained during this situation.

”Yeah...” Witch Aiko replied stiffly. She did cause this and for good reason... Well, most would definitely not agree with her point of view.

Slaughtering the so-called ’innocent’ humans and whatnot, but that is not her problem.

The reason being: The leaders are supposed to protect them. Their involvement in things will change the whole course of the kingdom’s history.

For example, if there is a famine and the leader is prioritising soldiers, the common folk will suffer. Once that suffering is over, there is no longer any common folk, so he has to use soldiers for farming.

The soldiers are dissatisfied with their work and stage a coup.

Any kind of decision will inherently affect the whole country.

Those leaders probably never expected to kick a metal plate, much less a world-ending metal plate...

Witch Aiko shook her head. What’s done is done. She wouldn’t be able to accomplish this alone, since others would start ignoring her, but this sends a pretty clear message to everyone.

’Do not mess with me if you don’t want to have everything destroyed.’

Witch Aiko believed that if they didn’t mess with her, at worst, she would just tease them.

Well, teasing was fun and harmless. It might be irritating at times, but it’s nowhere as bad as being enslaved or slaughtered.

Witch Aiko then stared at the Blood Fox.

’I should name her after Evolution, and she will also get 200 million of my Vitality as punishment.’ Witch Aiko nodded her head. Since this little beauty refused her before, it would be ’given’ to her now.

’I will still have some leftover vitality, but it will take some time to recover all of that.’ Witch Aiko clicked her tongue.

”What are you planning to do?” The girl asked softly.

”We will be taking that blood away once the time is ripe.” Witch Aiko proclaimed. She needed to power up the Blood Fox enough so that she wouldn’t be caught off-guard like before.

Nodding her head, she gently swayed her body, touching the lake.

It clung to her with a very disgusting sensation.

The Blood Fox observed it, but she didn’t question it. Even if this was supposed to be her punishment, she would accept it.

”Alright.” Witch Aiko nodded. ”This will be your Evolution place.” The resentment ran deep, but Aiko already had a remedy for this.

[Primordial Holy Blood Essence Marble]

She threw it inside without a second thought.

*BOOM*

The lake exploded for a moment before all the blood was sucked inside.

She then pulled out a few precious Herbs that would be used as a tonic during the Blood Fox’s bloody bath.

She still had plenty of Herbs, so it wouldn’t put a dent in her storage.

”You will-” Witch Aiko turned around, but the Blood Fox was already wrapped in blood.

”Well, that was quick.” Witch Aiko breathed out. She then concentrated her Vitality into a tiny drop, dropping it onto the Blood Fox’s forehead.

*BOOM*

There was a second explosion of energy, causing quite a mess.

’It’s time...’ Witch Aiko narrowed her eyes.

[Nightmare Domain]

The whole area within one kilometre was shrouded in endless darkness, concealing everything that was happening inside here, but...

’Did I underestimate it?’ Witch Aiko frowned.

There was a bloody Moon high up in the sky. Covering everything in red light.

The whole continent was shrouded and enveloped in that strange, bloodthirsty feeling.

’This will attract attention...’ Witch Aiko cried inside her mind as she saw the lake light up.

The blood glowed, and soon after, even the rivers started to glow.

Witch Aiko groaned. ’I overdid it with vitality...’ She was quite upset at this part, since it also meant that there would be a powerful individual coming after her.

’Please let them be weak if they come...’ Witch Aiko groaned.

-----

”It’s this place, sir.” A hooded individual reported.

”It’s quite large.” The boss in a hood looked over the forest enveloped by endless shadows.

”Yes, sir. We have counted that it’s around 2 kilometres across.” The hooded individual reported.

”What are the chances that the Blood Moon has anything to do with this?” The boss asked him.

”Low, sir.” The hoodie answered.

”Why do you believe that?” The boss frowned.

”It’s unlikely that such vastly different elements could coexist.” The hoodie answered again.

”Then what if there are two individuals?” The boss tried to lead this sloppy bastard to the right answer.

”But in the wilderness...” The hoodie didn’t believe it.

”What if they were partners?” The boss rolled his eyes. While this guy was skilled, he had a mush instead of a brain!

”...” The hoodie pondered on it. ”I still believe that is unlikely.”

The boss facepalmed. ”Fine, fine. Just gather others, we will go in.” He sighed, still not believing that someone so powerful was so stupid.

’One is protecting another, making it difficult for everyone.’ The boss frowned. This would be pretty hard to Contract, but the rewards would be immense!

Especially since one of his scout teams was annihilated by an unknown individual, who just so happens to also use shadows.

’If it’s the same individual, we would have struck gold!’ He nodded his head gently, leaving the premises.

The Blood Fox floated in an unknown space. It was completely red and black space, making her feel all kinds of wrong.

”Just take her for yourself, you are the Queen, the ruler of us. Nobody can stand between you and the thing you desire!” A voice tried to sway her.

”She is not a thing.” The Blood Fox calmly shook her head.

”You are the most beautiful bein-” The voice tried to continue, but was cut short.

”Have you ever seen her? Her unparalleled beauty, her divine bearing?” The Blood Fox spoke like she was upset. ”I can’t believe someone as simple as you believes I’m the most beautiful.” She sighed gently.

”But you are the smar-” The voice tried a different approach, but was cut short again.

”That’s right.” The Blood Fox gently slapped her fist into her palm.

”But-” The voice tried to go on, but was completely ignored.

”I will tell you about the most glorious and beautiful being, who is also my Master or Mistress.” The Blood Fox licked her lips.

”Huh?” The voice felt weird. Nobody was able to ignore her ever before. She was the temptation of the blood itself. The bloodthirsty being that drove Blood Beasts mad.

Yet this unparalleled individual was ignored by a mere Fox?!

”It all started when I was consumed by-” The Blood Fox retold her story.

”No, wait! That’s not how it’s supposed to go!” The voice suddenly yelled, revealing a gorgeous woman in red clothing.

”Hm?” The Blood Fox tilted her head. ”Ah, right!”

”Yeah, right.” The beauty was satisfied.

”We are supposed to get a table and chairs with some snacks, since this will take a while.” The Blood Fox concluded happily.

”Yeah- Wait, no!” The beauty was shocked by this abnormal Fox. ”You are supposed to lose your mind, let me control you and do things to you!”

”Ah, the table and chairs are prepared.” The Blood Fox nodded happily.

”Hey! This is my domain! Stop changing things!” The beauty was livid that a Fox was changing things however she liked it!

”It’s fine.” The Blood Fox smiled. ”Just because you are incapable of creating anything doesn’t mean you are untalented.”

”You-!” The beauty exploded from anger, shattering this place.

The Blood Fox woke up from her dream. She was still enveloped in blood, but this time she was controlling it.

The rivers of blood were at her command, like she had just earned something she was not supposed to.

Her body grew quickly, but there was also a hiccup.

[You are connected to a broken being through a broken Contract.]

[You will be unable to achieve a Human Body!]

The Blood Fox didn’t care about this. Everything could be remedied with time, so there was no need to worry or be upset.

The blood and strange bead on her forehead entered her body. There was a second eruption within her body as it nourished her bones, muscles, organs, everything. It was quite painful, but also satisfying as she could feel the power building up inside her body!

The Blood Fox controlled more and more blood, letting it enter her body.

[[Primordial Holy Blood Essence Marble] is resonating with your Fiend Bloodline!]

[Due to outside interference, you have earned an additional Bloodline!]

[Your Fate is quickly changing!]

[The one who interfered would bear this Karma.]

’No.’ The Blood Fox frowned, but these texts and lines didn’t listen to her.

[Your body will be further enhanced and adjusted to be able to bear this Bloodline!]

[Your Species is altering significantly!]

[You are no longer bound by Fate.]

[You can now decide if you wish to sit on a Throne or destroy it.]

[The decision should be mulled over carefully, but once you visit the ????, you will be asked to give an answer.]

The Blood Fox’s body creaked and screamed from the sudden changes. She could feel she was changing greatly, much more than she had expected!

...

After an unknown amount of time had passed, the blood was calming down. The Blood Fox opened her eyes. She could easily see through the blood now-

Her heart stilled.

’Why is Aiko injured...?’ The Blood Fox stopped thinking for a moment.

”Hehe, you will make for a good bride. Now give up before you die.” One shitty human said.

”I told you a hundred times that this is just a scratch!” Aiko was even more irritated than before!

”Right, with so much blood and injuries, you want me to believe that?” The shit on the side of the road snorted.

The Blood Fox breathed out. Her natural Blood Ability already told her that Aiko was mostly uninjured, which didn’t make sense, but she would still believe in Aiko...

”Don’t worry, I will treat you well~” That stained shirt said.

’Never mind.’ The Blood Fox’s face distorted. A huge hand formed from the blood and smashed into the shit, immediately refining him due to him being caught off-guard...
