Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox

The team settled in a hidden meadow, because for some unknown reason, there were no caves around.

This meadow was still well hidden, so there was no problem with it.

The Blood Fox rarely cooked to not attract attention, but even then some kind of eyes swept past them...

...

{Inside the Fox Village}

Mei could feel Aiko being quite close to the Fox Village, but for some reason, she did not enter.

She narrowed her eyes and sent her Divine Sense towards Aiko’s direction.

Mei found Aiko lazily lying in a fur roll, snoozing like there was no tomorrow.

Her lips twitched. Was she really so terrifying that Aiko would rather sleep outside? She didn’t know if that was the real reason why Aiko didn’t visit her yet, but she would wait... she would give it a month before storming inside and scolding them.

’There is also another Shadow Fox...’ Mei narrowed her eyes, wondering what happened along the journey.

...

{Inside the meadow}

Aiko snorted unhappily since she was bound all around her body. Her body squirmed like a worm to get out of it, but she was too tired to use her full strength.

The Blood Fox and others noticed the stir and looked towards Aiko. It’s been half a month since someone ’stared’ at them which scared them. They were on the edge for the past month, looking for intruders.

Aiko blinked her eyes lazily and was startled. There were two Yuxis in front of her.

”Aiko.” The Blood Fox nuzzled Aiko, now that she was awake they would be able to enter the Fox Village and be safe.

”Mmm.” Aiko murmured, not really in the mood for any kind of talk. She curiously stared towards the duo.

’They are like twins.’ Aiko blinked her eyes lazily, but only one of them looked at her nicely.

Aiko also felt only one connection, so the other one was someone else.

She yawned slowly and the Blood Fox shuffled meat in front of her. Aiko opened and closed her mouth being fed by the Blood Fox, but her curiosity was still strong.

She stared at the twins for some time before a familiar voice spoke.

”It’s great you are alright, Aiko.” Yuxi almost cried. It’s been such a long time since Aiko fell into a deep slumber.

At first, Yuxi believed that Aiko would wake up soon, but even after 2 months, Aiko was still ’dead’ asleep, not stirring up no matter what happened around her.

”Mhm.” Aiko murmured again, munching on some tasty meat. She then stared towards the other Yuxi.

”This is Wanshu, she Evolved into this form.” Yuxi explained. ”She also has some kind of #### system.”

Aiko tilted her head. ’#### system? Wait, why can’t I think about it?!’ She was startled that she couldn’t name the system.

’I should probably look through my system first...

[Species: [Blessed Moon Fennec Fox (Female, Adult, Single-True Tail(Pseudo Two-Tails))]]

[A special breed of a Fennec Fox that is both attuned with the Moon and Nature’s Blessing.]

[It can survive both harsh desert environments and bustling jungles.]

[It’s now an even greater weakness was the Cold Element.]

Aiko blinked slowly. Her system was actually helpful?! What happened???

[Bloodline: [Primordial Dew Goddess Kitsune (Dormant)]]

[This incredibly #### Bloodline focuses on a Primordial Dew. This Dew allows Herbs and Beasts to grow incredibly strong, but at the same time it costs vast amounts of Vitality to create such a precious Treasure.]

[This Bloodline is Dormant, as such you can’t produce any Primordial Dew. It was ’degraded’ into a simple Blessed Morning Dew.]

[Likewise, the Vitality required, lessened exponentially.]

[To Awaken this Bloodline, you need Immortal Qi or Chaos Qi.]

Aiko blinked again. She really believed that the system was sick, considering how much useful information she was given.

[System is functioning at 10% capacity.]

[No Errors were found.]

’Oh...’ Aiko believed that because the System was restricted, it was a lot more useful like trying to tell her not to throw it away.

’Can I still buy stuff?’ Aiko asked.

[Shops are operating, prices will fluctuate.]

Aiko nodded slowly, so it was no longer concrete that she would get those Skills, Abilities, and Techniques for the same prices...

[One Who Survived Against All Odds]

[When your Vitality Drops under 0, it does not kill you. This drop has to occur only once, otherwise, HP will be used as a replacement. (Meaning that if someone drains you of your Vitality you will still live, but if someone hits you twice; Once to lower your Vitality under 0, the second hit then would be into your HP in a ratio of 1:100 (1 Vitality for 100 HP))]

[If your Vitality is under 0, you will have to regenerate your Vitality fully before this Title can be activated again.]

[If your HP drops below 0 while in a state of Vitality deprivation, you will die and your Soul will disperse. You won’t be able to reincarnate again.]

Aiko shivered. She felt fine while giving away her Vitality, but now... that might’ve been quite a bad idea.

If she was alone and without her amazing team, she would absolutely die! She shouldn’t use this Title unless it’s completely necessary!

[Respect from Dragons]

[You have earned respect from one of the Dragon Clans. You will no longer be looked upon as a dumb Fox and more Dragons will take interest in you. (Increases likeability of the Dragon Race)]

’Nice’ Aiko smiled, for some reason the Blood Fox nuzzled her closely, but Aiko didn’t mind. This kind of nuzzling was not bad at all.

[Greed from Humans]

[Humans will be more interested in you, some will reach the obsession stage faster. (Increases attraction from Humans)]

’Geh.’ Aiko didn’t like this one at all! This meant that more Humans would go after her! No way will she leave the Fox Village now!

[Cultivation Technique: [Blood Tyrant Scripture (Mortal Form)], [Moon Goddess Scripture (Mortal Form)], [Dual Yin Cultivation Scripture (Complete, Immortal Form)]]

’Huh...’ Aiko blinked. ’They have more information!’ Aiko’s eyes sparkled, but since she could not Cultivate them, she didn’t look through them.

[Mortal Form]

[Usable in Mortal World.]

[Immortal Form]

[Usable in both Mortal and Immortal World. (But mostly in Immortal World.)]

[Companion: [Passion Fox (Affection: Obsession)]]

’...’ Aiko stared at it blankly while the Blood Fox nuzzled her closely. ’Is that a good thing...?’

[Soul Servant: [Yuxi (Affection: Reverence], [Wanshu (Affection: Wary of you, believes you will steal Yuxi from her.]]

’Oh! I have another Soul Servant!’ Aiko nodded happily, but then she was stunned by the affection rating. ’What do you mean I will steal her from you?! She is mine to begin with!’ Aiko snorted unhappily.

’I also got more Elemental Affinities, that’s good.’ Aiko nodded.

[Soul Palace -> ####]

Aiko blinked a few times. It seemed like her Soul Palace was transferring into something...

[Appraisal]

[Soul Palace -> Soul Domain]

[Soul Domain is ##############.]

’So I have to explore this one myself, huh?’ Aiko blinked a few times.

[Dew Fox Incarnate]

[Plethora of Abilities packed together. You can choose a few of them to Cultivate properly or keep it as is.]

[Keeping it as is would allow you to develop all of them at the same time, but it would be much, much slower than individual Abilities.]

’I have time...’ Aiko nodded with a smile.

[[Dew Fox Incarnate] focuses on Nature and Vitality.]

[You can nurture and develop your Herbs or Pets, depending on your needs.]

Aiko nodded slowly, this was a good thing for Mei who liked to work with Herbs.

[All Abilities from [Dew Fox Incarnate] consume Vitality!]

[Tails Storage]

[Special Storage that can store anything.]

[Size depends on the fluffiness of your tails and the number of Tails.]

Aiko blinked a few times.

[Heavenly Blessed Light-Water 1,000L]

[####]

Aiko pouted. ’Another thing that I don’t know anything about and Appraisal also isn’t working...’

...

Aiko slept on and off in the coming days before asking the duo.

”So you have your own system now?” Aiko blinked.

””Yes.”” They both nodded.

Aiko was now glad that Yuxi was under contract, since their disposition and even voices were incredibly similar.

”Does it give you something or...?” Aiko wanted to know how advanced their system was...

Fortunately or unfortunately, they both shook their heads. It seemed like their system was only about showing their progress and Titles.

Aiko nodded gently and looked over Yuxi’s panel.

Aiko really liked the [Little Nightmare], so her next Evolution would definitely be this one!

She was really looking forward to having someone who could fight for her, so that she could solely focus on throwing rocks!

[You don’t have a twin.]

’Shut up!’ Aiko pouted even more. Fortunately for the system, she was too tired and fell asleep...
