Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox

The Queen rested and naturally Aiko nestled on her tails.

Mei woke up the next day, the shock was too great and took her a long time to recover. She stared at Aiko who was peacefully sleeping and caressed her head.

Aiko chomped on her fingers, mumbling. ”5 more minutes.”

Mei’s lips twitched, it seemed like she picked quite the lazy servant and now Companion.

Aiko woke up after the relentless assault from Mei. ”What do you want, mean Fox?” Aiko yawned stretching.

”Am I mean?! After I give you so many yummy things??” Mei was again speechless.

”This is this and that is that.” Aiko pouted.

Mei resigned and asked. ”Where did you get that Divine Dao Scroll?”

Aiko tilted her head. ”The what?”

Mei’s brow twitched. ”Don’t tell me you don’t even know how precious that thing is?”

Aiko blinked. ”Isn’t it just Karma binding paper?” She tilted her head. ”I have another one you know?”

Aiko took out the [Karma Bound] from her inventory to show it to the mean Fox.

*PFFFT*

Mei almost fainted again. ”Y-y-you have another one!?” She suddenly felt light-headed. ’Do you know how long it took me to get one in order to establish my sect??’ Mei wanted to cry.

”I can use it however many times I want though?” Aiko tilted her head, this was one of those items that wouldn’t get consumed which was nice.

”WHAT?!” Mei staggered.

Aiko stared at the mean Fox and smirked in glee. ”Serves you right for hurting me!” Aiko laughed.

”You... when did I hurt you?!” Mei was stunned and then it clicked. ”Ah! That one doesn’t count!”

”Yes, it does stinky Fox!” Aiko protested and trashed around, it was so much easier to do this when one was small.

Mei now developed a serious headache. ”Ugh, fine! Now tell me how did you know that it was a prototype?” Mei asked seriously.

Aiko narrated about her system for a bit, she didn’t tell everything, just about the shop and that she can get anything she wants in the cultivation world.

”Oh! That’s what her Soul looks like.” Aiko smiled while holding her chin.

Mei was currently half-dead. She had been working so hard her entire life to get bits and pieces of Cultivation Techniques, yet this little rascal could obtain anything she wanted.

Mei recovered after another half a day. ”So it costs you these ’Skill Points’?”

Aiko nodded. ”Mm, That’s how I got quite a bit.” Of course, she wouldn’t give full credit to the system since the system was too stingy.

”What else can it do?” Mei narrowed her eyes, in front of Aiko was strange energy and she was playing with that energy.

”I can see my strengths and weaknesses and if I find the thing I’m looking for in the shop it will tell me what it does. I also can store things inside, but it seems it’s very limited, I can’t store carcasses or anything that is from this world.” Aiko answered.

”You can see how strong you are?” Mei strained her eyes and she almost had another heart attack. ’Isn’t that Providence?! She is playing with Providence!’ Mei finally figured out what was that strange energy in front of Aiko.

”You shouldn’t use that,” Mei said seriously. ”If you use it too much it will drain your ####.”

Aiko tilted her head, another strange word.

”No! I will use it!” Aiko pulled her tongue out at the stinky Fox.

”You... seriously! I’m serious when I say that it will hurt you!” Mei had a headache, now that Aiko could talk she was more and more disobedient.

”No! It won’t hurt me! Nüwa promised me!” Aiko shouted at the stinky Fox.

Mei took quite some time to process what Aiko said. ”I beg your pardon?”

Aiko hmpfed. ”Nüwa Blessed me!” Aiko crossed her small arms.

This time Mei really fainted.

”Oh...” Aiko stared at the mean Fox puzzled.

[Congratulations! You have obtained a new Title: [One Who makes Immortal Faint]!]

[One Who makes Immortal Faint]

[Immortals have a hard time staying conscious in your presence.]

”Hmpf... At least the shitty system gives me some good things.” Aiko snorted but was happy inside.

”What am I going to do with this...” She stared at Mei tilting her head.

”Right, let’s move her so I can sleep again~” Aiko hummed, she could easily move this stinky Fox as she was much stronger and then nestled on her tails yet again.

...

Mei woke up, she felt heavy and listless. ’She just said the name of Sage... Nothing bad will happen... right?’

[Nothing will happen to you, my child.] A gentle soothing voice drifted into Mei’s mind and she freaked out.

[Calm down, I really like the little one and since you also like her, there is no reason for us to do this kind of thing. We are both old and wise.] It felt like that voice was smiling.

Mei felt calm which scared her even more and she was thinking about breaking the taboo...

’Nüwa?’ Now she has done it! She broke the taboo from her fright!

[Yes, child.] The voice was not angry. [But don’t tell this to others and don’t let that name escape your lips when you are out in the open.] She warned in a gentle voice.

’I know that much, Great Sage.’ Mei nodded.

[Good, now take care of that child. I quite like her.] The voice giggled but then stopped. [Right, you don’t have to worry about her Providence, since she is stealing it from my Junior.]

’Isn’t that bad for your Junior?’ Mei had a bad feeling about this.

[If that idiot would listen to me, nothing like this would happen, but now that I have taken interest in her I won’t allow her to destroy her weak Providence.] The voice said gently.

’So her Providence is weak.’ Mei narrowed her eyes.

[He is an unfortunate Soul. So I will take care of him.]

’Him?’ Mei was confused.

[My Junior played a prank on him, but I do not intend to change it.]

’That’s quite a severe prank.’ She snorted.

[That might be true, but it also saved your little sweetie, didn’t it?] The gentle voice giggled.

Mei narrowed her eyes. ’####, right?’

The voice giggled again, but this time it was another giggle.

[Senior we should also give her, AU AU AU!]

[You have not learned yet you little rascal!]

Those voices faded away and Mei’s lips twitched, why did this exchange feel so familiar...

She stared back on her tails and Aiko was peacefully sleeping there.

The Queen sighed but caressed her again.

”5 more minutes.”

’Yes, that’s how this is supposed to go...’ Mei already gave up chastising her little one. ’But now we are tied with Karma, I have to be more careful...’

Mei’s Providence was huge and hard to shake, but Aiko’s Providence was weak. It was like comparing a burning forest to a candlelight.

”What do you want, mean Fox?” Aiko frowned, she wanted to sleep more.

”It’s time for Food.” Mei smiled, seeing Aiko salivate. ”But you have to be a good girl.” She petted Aiko.

”But it must be delicious!” Aiko negotiated.

”Fine.” Mei didn’t reject her.

...

The Queen created a feast for Aiko and Aiko drooled a lot.

She stuffed her cheeks with meat, looking like a hamster. Mei was looking at Aiko affectionately and pushing more and more food in front of her.

[Congratulations! You have obtained a new Title: [Glutton]!]

[Glutton]

[You get greater benefits from eating food. The more food you taste the better this effect. (Current Effect x1.23)]

”Shitty system! I’m not a glutton!” Aiko protested.

”You are, it would take me a few days to eat so much.” Mei said gently.

Aiko frowned. ”You just don’t have an appetite!” She was defending herself.

Mei didn’t say anything and waited for her to finish.

”Do you have a way to obtain the full script of [Heavenly Suppression Technique]?” Mei asked.

”Yes, but it costs too much.” Aiko munched on her meat.

”I see...” The Queen frowned, but she could just use ’that’ to offset the cost.

”I will teach you about the [Heavenly Suppression Technique], you need to learn it in 2 days, but you don’t need to master it.” Mei slowly explained. ”I will offset the cost of your techniques, it will still cost you Energy, but it won’t be as much.”

Mei blinked a few times. ”Is the ’system’ the reason why you are prettier each time?”

Aiko nodded.

Mei clicked her tongue. ”That thing is really great, but I won’t allow you to suck other people, understand?!” Mei had an evil smile and Aiko shivered.

She nodded out of fear that the stinky Fox might do something to her.

”Good.” The aura disappeared like it was a lie and Aiko cursed Mei in her mind.

”You won’t need to maintain this technique for long. I will teach you how to extract Souls so you can eat a few. That way it will seem like you have advanced naturally as even I can’t tell what is wrong with that tail.” Mei pointed at the second tail Aiko had.

”It’s because I have 2 Species.” Aiko smiled, munching on the rest of the meat.

”I see... so you have 2 Species.” Mei nodded in understanding. ”Wait! You have 2 Species?!” Mei didn’t quite understand what it meant as she never met anyone who could have those.

Aiko altered her Moon form and Shadow form and it clicked for Mei.

”That is great, you can have two tails because of that, that means it will be easy to reach 10-Tails.” Mei nodded, proud of Aiko.

Aiko looked away, it was not a good idea to tell her she had a single tail from each Species, which might mean she could have 18-Tails. She needed to learn that Heavenly thing and didn’t want her learning time to decrease by so much.

”Alright, let’s go through the training for you to learn that!” Mei clapped her hands and guided Aiko inside the Den for teaching.
