Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox

He stared at the whirlwind for a while, his eyes briefly sparkled.

”Secure the perimeter, drive away any Cultivators or Beasts.” He ordered gently and stepped down.

”Rune Master.” Hua gently nodded towards him.

He nodded back smiling.

The Elders were left speechless. He wasn’t an Inscription Cultivator, but a Rune Cultivator and Master at that!

Who was Rune Cultivator? It was a person who handled Inscriptions, Arrays and Formation at the same time! A person who was able to draw Runes into a space! An exceptionally rare existence as each profession requires a different attitude and approach.

He lifted his finger and the Queen was on guard. She was ready to take his head if she didn’t like the Rune that he intended to create.

He laid the first Rune, ’gather’. He then added ’strength’ all around.

The space momentarily distorted as it couldn’t bear the pressure without the necessary ambient Qi.

The youth smiled, looking towards the Evolving Fox.

’Not only does she have Runes around her body, they even help her to gather more Qi.’ His eyes twinkled. ’And if that wasn’t enough those Runes are continuously Evolving, Changing, Shaping.’

He cancelled his Rune, but it was already too late.

The Runes around Aiko changed again, they mimicked the Runes the youth created and the vortex quadrupled in suction power. The ambient Qi dropped sharply, not only affecting them.

*Crash*

The youth was startled as he didn’t pay enough attention to his surroundings. Simply because he found something interesting.

He turned around and his face distorted. ”Ugh... I did it again.” The was pain and sorrow in his voice as he looked at his priceless battleship that crashed.

It wasn’t damaged, but cleaning it would take ages as it could affect the numerous Arrays and Inscriptions.

He pinched his nose bridge, last time he caused a landslide almost burying his priceless possessions, this time he crashed his ship. He groaned again, but soon he forgot about that as he turned around.

A huge whirlwind was created, the space was distorted from the lack of Qi, and the Spirit Mine was being sucked dry, yet the Fox was gently levitating in the midst of this, not being affected.

[Bloodline: [Dream Beast Kitsune(Dormant)] broke through! It seeks Energy to stabilize!]

The whirlwind didn’t lessen, it almost became liquid Qi, the fox Elders frowned. ’It will be simple Beast Evolution she said. We will get rich she said...’ They mocked their Sect Leader, but they didn’t dare to voice it aloud.

[Bloodline: [Shadow Fiend Fox] can be advanced during the next Evolution!]

The trees were uprooted and as they approached the whirlwind, drained of their Vitality and turning into dust. The phenomenon got only worse over time.

The Human Cultivators didn’t understand why their Patriarch was helping them. Sure they were supposed to welcome the Foxes and let them take the Inscriptions tests, but why should they go out of their way?

Of course, they couldn’t rebel against the Patriarch as he was the only Rune Cultivator on this continent. He was revered by all guilds, associations and Sects.

[Beast Cores are peacefully orbiting and their Energy restrains can be released!]

*BOOOM*

Suddenly area of 2km all around was instantly turned into a desert.

Those on the ships were safe from the sudden decline of Qi, but all of the Elders suffered from slight Qi deviation as something was able to pluck part of their Qi.

The Patriarch’s smile widened. ’I wonder what kind of Holy Beast this is...’

He couldn’t feel any Demonic presence from there and the presence was soothing and not oppressive.

’It must’ve been her Bloodline that caused this.’ He clicked his tongue.

[Bloodline: [Dream Beast Kitsune(Awakened) Reached Peak.]

More ships arrived from nearby sects, but those were stopped by the Inscription Human Elders.

”Patriarch.” They cupped their fists politely but cursed inwardly. It seems like these humans will obtain unparalleled Beast.

”Please Fellow Cultivators.” He beckoned them to land, but the other forces frowned.

”Why would we-”

Before he could finish the ship started to lose altitude.

*Crash**Crash**Crash*

All the ships that arrived crashed into the desert. They looked speechlessly around and they were unable to fly.

The whirlwind didn’t seem to want to stop. They will be stranded here for a while.

...

Aiko opened her eyes slowly as she was in a large pit. She didn’t remember being in the desert, but she shook away her drowsiness and stood up.

She felt that she grew a bit, but the biggest change was-

Aiko felt her fingers were beyond normal at this point as they felt like little snakes that she could control, not to mention her whole body felt healthier, she was incredibly happy at that as her stats were more even and looked less like that of a pushover!

Aiko clicked her Sect Token. The clothes felt slightly smaller, but that was only natural as she grew up.

Little did she know that was just only 5cm...

...

After a painful month, they could feel the vortex subside. They stared towards the heavenly beauty that would cling out of the pit. They didn’t dare to use their Divine Sense to probe lest they would anger the Patriarch or the heavenly beauty.

Their eyes strained, they would engrave her in their minds for eternity.

...

......

’A child?’ Their mind blanked completely, even the Patriarch was left there stunned.

It was an incredibly cute child with cute cheeks.

She was around 65-70cm. Her tail was incredibly long and fluffy. Both her hair and tail were colour that of a Moonlight, but tips were yet Black. Her complexion was that of a cold beauty.

The cold beauty noticed them and shied away from their gazes as her cheeks were slowly dyed pinkish.

She hid behind the incredibly beautiful Fox and peeked at them.

”What are you staring at bastards.” The small cute(?) girl spat at them.

Everyone blinked for a moment but then they roared.

”GIVE ME BACK MY DREAM!”

”GIVE ME BACK MY WIFE!”

”GIVE ME BACK MY DOLL!”

They screamed at them as their dreams of meeting a beautiful Humanoid slut were ruined by a young twerp with milk rolling down her lips.

Aiko frowned. ”Oh shut up you useless bastards, you are so fucking irritating.”

The Queen’s lips twitched, she now wondered where her little cutie learned such words...

The Patriarch stared at Aiko.

He was confused. This kind of phenomenon can’t be caused by advancing from Beast Rank to Magical Beast Rank. Even if she would have several Bloodlines that shouldn’t have happened...

He was confused and rightfully so, as he would never imagine that the Fox in front of him had 2 Cores instead of one. This allowed her to push Bloodlines past her limit, normally in this Rank you would have at most 10,000 Stat points from Peaked Bloodline, but Aiko could get 20,000 because she had 2 Beast Cores.

This was extremely rare to have two Beast Cores as most of the time it was a defect when someone advanced into Beast Rank. They wouldn’t have balanced Cores as such one Beast Core would consume the other without mercy, leaving them back with only one Beast Core.

In rare instances, the Secondary Beast Core might gather all the impurities, but then you have to clean that Beast Core before it can merge and that can cause unimaginable pain.

”Since everyone is safe now we will guide you to our Association.” The Patriarch said, he wanted to observe that little Fox a bit longer, but seeing the overprotective beauty... ’This will be more difficult.’
