Fat and Ugly Villainess Wins Back Her Five Beast Husband

Without sugar, Sora still had to rely on honey as a substitute. She added it in three batches, carefully timing each addition.

When the egg whites reached the stage where they resembled large fish eyes, she added the first portion of honey. Once the bubbles became finer, she added the second. Finally, when the mixture began forming visible streaks, she added the last portion.

The process was exhausting, but Sora refused to give up.

Once both the yolk mixture and the meringue were ready, it was time to combine them.

She carefully added one-third of the whipped egg whites into the yolk mixture and gently folded them together.

Not far away, hidden behind a tree, Ryan watched the entire process.

His expression was calm, but his eyes followed every movement Sora made.

She alternated between beating the eggs, adding flour, arranging the fruit, and checking the oven. The entire process looked strange to him, but there was something oddly fascinating about it.

More importantly, it looked delicious.

Ryan’s interest deepened.

Could she really create another strange and delicious food?

He had already witnessed Sora create several things that the other beastmen had never even imagined. Every time she invented something new, his curiosity was inevitably drawn toward it.

Just as Sora was enthusiastically mixing the batter, the system’s notification suddenly rang inside her mind.

Ding!

Congratulations, host. Ryan’s affection value has increased by 0.1 points, and his attraction value has increased by 0.2 points.

Sora’s hand froze.

The wooden spatula almost slipped from her fingers.

She stared blankly at the batter for several seconds before gritting her teeth.

”Seriously?”

She had worked so hard, and this was all she got?

A combined increase of only 0.3 points!

This system was truly stingy.

”Where did those affection and attraction points even come from?” Sora asked inwardly.

The system responded calmly.

Host, Ryan believes the food you are preparing will be delicious. This has resulted in an increase in his goodwill toward you.

”Delicious?”

Sora’s expression darkened.

”So he thinks my food looks delicious, and I only get 0.3 points?”

She almost wanted to laugh.

If Ryan thought her cooking was only worth such a tiny amount of affection, then he could forget about eating it later.

She had spent so much effort preparing the cake. She wasn’t going to reward someone who barely appreciated it.

Without a proper baking mold, Sora improvised.

She took several flexible vines and carefully woven them together, creating a simple round mold. She then lined the bottom with clean, broad leaves to serve as a substitute for baking paper.

Once the batter was ready, she poured a layer into the mold.

She didn’t fill it completely.

After all, she still had the fruit.

Sora cut the kiwis into small pieces and arranged them carefully over the first layer of batter. Then she scattered some of the wild raspberries Lukan had brought her.

The bright red berries stood out beautifully against the pale batter.

She added another layer of meringue over the fruit before repeating the process.

Layer after layer.

Batter.

Kiwi.

Raspberries.

Meringue.

By the time the mold was nearly full, Sora carefully placed several of the largest raspberries on top for decoration.

She stepped back and looked at her creation.

A satisfied smile appeared on her face.

”Not bad.”

It certainly wasn’t a professional cake.

But considering the primitive conditions she was working with, this was already an impressive achievement.

Sora opened the bread oven.

The interior was still warm from the fire she had prepared earlier. She added a few more pieces of firewood to maintain the heat before carefully placing the cake inside.

But she wasn’t finished.

She had learned that the bread oven could do far more than simply bake.

She sliced some kiwi into thin pieces and placed them inside as well.

Then she wrapped two chickens in large leaves and put them inside.

Finally, she added several sweet potatoes.

From his hiding place, Ryan’s eyes widened.

He watched Sora place one item after another into the round, plump earthen oven.

There was no huge fire burning above it.

There wasn’t even a visible flame surrounding the food.

Ryan frowned.

Could this really cook the food?

With so little fire, it seemed impossible.

He had never seen anything like this before.

Yet Sora appeared completely confident.

She closed the oven and waited.

Time passed slowly.

Then—

A rich fragrance began drifting through the air.

Ryan’s eyes changed immediately.

That smell...

It was completely different from roasted meat cooked over an open fire.

Sora’s eyes brightened as well.

”It’s ready.”

She opened the oven and carefully removed the food.

First came the kiwi.

The fruit that had once been plump and juicy had now shrunk considerably, its moisture drawn out by the heat. It looked almost like dried fruit.

Sora picked up a piece and examined it.

Not bad.

She could make even more later.

Next came the chickens wrapped in leaves.

Although Ryan couldn’t see the inside, the aroma alone was enough to make his stomach tighten with hunger.

But the biggest surprise was the cake.

The flat mixture Sora had placed inside the oven had expanded.

It was now soft and fluffy, with a golden surface covered by bright red raspberries.

It looked incredibly appetizing.

Ryan stared.

He had expected another strange creation.

He hadn’t expected it to actually work.

At that moment, the system’s voice rang again.

Ding!

Congratulations, host. Ryan’s affection value has increased by 30 points, and his attraction value has increased by 40 points.

Sora’s eyes immediately lit up.

Finally!

Her efforts had paid off.

Although the increase had come a little late, at least it was substantial.

”System, what is Ryan’s current strategy value?”

The system answered immediately.

Currently, Ryan’s affection value is 40.1, and his attraction value is 50.2.

Sora’s lips twitched.

She understood why the system had included the decimal points.

But hearing the mechanical announcement still made her feel a little speechless.

Those fractional values were ridiculous.

She glanced toward the nearby grass.

The blades were swaying gently in the wind.

She knew Ryan was hiding nearby.

Originally, she had planned to call him over and let him taste the cake.

But after seeing his miserly increase of only 0.1 points earlier, Sora suddenly changed her mind.

She deliberately turned her head away.

She would pretend she hadn’t noticed him.

If he wanted to eat the cake, he could come out himself.

She wasn’t going to feed someone who gave her such a pitiful amount of affection for all her hard work.
