Realized Game: I Hoarded 10 Billion Defense Towers

”Floors 91 and above require City Energy!”

Calling over a few people who were considered Qing City’s management, Shen Fei quickly explained what he had discovered while clearing the floors with his team.

Because the Heaven-Reaching Tower was located in the center of Qing City, some of the Secret Realm’s rules and mechanics were now linked to Qing City itself. Of the Heaven-Reaching Tower’s 99 floors, there were no other restrictions for clearing floors 1 through 90, aside from the limit on each player’s number of entries.

But trying to enter the 91st floor was another story. It required City Energy. Not just anyone could enter floor 91.

City Energy had become an especially important resource after the full Version 4.3 update. It was like the city’s heart and blood; the energy was tied to the entire city’s operations. The city’s Teleportation Array, City Shield, special city-exclusive items, and even the charging of certain National Treasure Divine Artifacts all required City Energy.

However, the methods for acquiring City Energy were few. Currently, aside from some extremely rare charging items, the only way to obtain City Energy was through the small amount that regenerated automatically each day.

That’s why, upon seeing that floors 91 and above of the Heaven-Reaching Tower required City Energy, Shen Fei had immediately stopped power-leveling everyone. After he carried everyone up to floor 90, he paused and called over a few of Qing City’s temporary administrators.

After explaining the specifics of the situation, Shen Fei gave his opinion. ”The rewards on floor 91 and beyond might be better, but I think City Energy is more important!”

Perhaps the items rewarded on floors 91 and above of the Heaven-Reaching Tower would be better. And since precious City Energy is being used as an entry fee, there are probably other changes to be found later on. Still, it’s best not to waste it for now. We should wait and gather more information...

After hearing his brother Shen Fei’s explanation, Sun Yu was the first to ask, ”Bro! Why don’t you go in alone and clear the floors past 90 to check things out? The City Energy consumption for just one person shouldn’t be much...”

According to the information Shen Fei just shared, each person entering floor 91 or above would incur a City Energy entry fee. Having hundreds or thousands of people go in would indeed be a huge drain on their City Energy. But if Shen Fei went in alone, it would still be feasible.

Faced with Sun Yu’s question, Shen Fei thought for a moment before shaking his head. ”No need! I was thinking we could use this as an opportunity to set up a city contribution system. Let everyone use their contribution points to buy entry attempts for the Heaven-Reaching Tower’s floors 91 and above! The Version 4.3 update conveniently added more city functions and options!”

To make a city fair, it’s better not to have a privileged class. Since I’ve seen that floor 91 of the Heaven-Reaching Tower requires City Energy, I can use this opportunity to activate and adjust Qing City’s contribution point system. In that case, it’s better if I don’t pioneer the floor myself. I should leave the first clear to the players who redeem their contribution points. This way, everyone’s enthusiasm and motivation will be even greater.

Besides, it’s already been confirmed that Qing City’s Heaven-Reaching Tower Secret Realm doesn’t offer increased rewards for server-first or initial clears. Therefore, it’s better to leave this kind of prestigious achievement to someone else. My reputation is already great enough; I don’t need this kind of minor achievement to bolster it...

Seeing that the others still wanted to suggest he pioneer the floors after he shared his idea, Shen Fei shook his head and refused. ”Enough discussion. There are thousands of Secret Realms out there, if not tens of thousands. We’re not hurting for this one! Let’s just do it this way!”

Previously, although Version 4.3 had been updated and added the city citizen function, he hadn’t had the time to deal with matters related to it. Now was the perfect opportunity to leverage the Heaven-Reaching Tower, a unique Secret Realm located in the city center, to establish Qing City’s contribution point system. He had stopped lying low three days ago, and now Shen Fei’s name resounded throughout Great Xia. He believed that, backed by such an enormous reputation, rolling out the contribution system and other arrangements in Qing City would be absolutely no problem.

Moreover, with the full update of Version 4.4, an uncountable number of Secret Realms had appeared all over Blue Star. Although special multiplayer ones were still relatively scarce, if Shen Fei wanted to enter a Secret Realm, he still had plenty of options.

Having made his decision, Shen Fei gave Sun Yu another instruction. ”If anyone is going to clear floors 91 and above, remember to have more Tower Masters stationed near the Secret Realm in advance. This is to prevent monsters, magnified ten-thousand-fold, from invading the real world in case of a failed clear!”

Although Sun Yu was a powerful Tower Master with most of his Defense Towers placed near the Heaven-Reaching Tower Secret Realm, allowing him to deal with any appearing monsters instantly, that setup was only fine for monsters from the lower floors. Even if they were magnified ten-thousand-fold and broke through into reality, Sun Yu’s automated Defense Towers could handle them without issue. However, it was a different story for floors 91 and above. If things weren’t handled properly inside, the monsters that broke through into reality with a ten-thousand-fold magnification would be considerably strong. It was crucial to make preparations in advance.

”Okay!” Sun Yu replied, with Zhang Qiqiang nodding in agreement. ”I’ll have people adjust the terrain around the Heaven-Reaching Tower later. We’ll create some special paths to prepare for a monster tide!”
