Realized Game: I Hoarded 10 Billion Defense Towers

”Huh?”

While everyone else was shocked that Version 4.4 had arrived during the gap period with no game ability inheritance, Shen Fei, who had been reborn, was stunned for a completely different reason!

According to his calculations, Version 4.4 should have arrived in five or six days, along with the third game ability inheritance... But unfortunately, he was wrong again! Version 4.4’s update had been directly accelerated, completely different from what he had predicted.

More importantly, he looked at the two lines that had specifically appeared in the update text:

”[Special BUG detected. A beyond-version event has occurred!]”

”[Version update accelerating again!]”

Shen Fei was even more dumbfounded...

It’s obvious this is about me... again, isn’t it?! My super item, [Black Spade A], has a flawed Uniqueness. I only got a single chance to use it because of the second game ability inheritance and the accelerated 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3 updates. That was a beyond-version bug event. But without me, even if this BUG had occurred, no one else could have used it. That’s because in the current version, other people can’t get drops from killing monsters or players. Even with a bug, they’d have no target to use it on. But I can... The item I got as a drop—one that was unusable in the current version—happened to become usable under the influence of the BUG. And I even used that bug-activated item to one-shot Magnus—the very being who killed me in my past life and triggered my rebirth.

This whole chain reaction... No matter how Shen Fei looked at it, it all seemed to be related to him.

It’s me again??

Staring at the few lines of text on his panel, the confusion in Shen Fei’s heart, sparked by Magnus and his rebirth, grew even deeper...

”Bro??”

”You???”

Beside him, Sun Yu had no idea what strange new things this Version 4.4 update would bring, but he saw the two extra lines of explanation that appeared with it. Sun Yu couldn’t help but look at Shen Fei.

This Version 4.4 update was influenced by someone again? If it was influenced by a human, then that person is most likely my big bro!!

When his big bro Shen Fei didn’t answer, Sun Yu quickly logged onto the Forum to see what was happening with everyone else. Every player would see this kind of version update... He wanted to see what exactly Version 4.4 updated. Humanity had only just figured out that 4.2 was datafication and 4.3 was the arrival of Neutral Cities. What were the rules for this new Version 4.4? No one knew yet...

”The hell?”

”Again!!!”

”To the master who’s doing this, please, give us a break!!”

”If you keep accelerating the version updates and push us straight to 5.0, humanity is done for!!”

”When humans appeared in Version 3.0, the creatures from the previous Version 2.0, the dinosaurs, were just wiped out!!”

”If you accelerate us to 5.0, humanity is done for!”

”The versions are updating so fast, and we haven’t even fully inherited our game abilities... If 4.9 and 5.0 arrive, we won’t be able to handle it!!”

Logging onto the Forum, Sun Yu saw a post that had instantly been pushed into the top three. In the post, people were also discussing the two lines of notification that had specifically appeared during the Version 4.4 update. There hadn’t been any notifications like this for the 4.2 and 4.3 updates.

Now, as everyone’s understanding of game ability inheritance deepened, the sudden notification forced everyone to pay close attention and take it seriously. In the post, someone had already, based on previous deductions, begun to worry that the updates were coming too fast and would lead directly to the ”Humanity: GG” version of 5.0...

”What’s a ’special BUG’? Can one of you big shots explain it?!”

”What’s a ’beyond-version event’? Somebody with the brains to know, please explain!”

”Give us grunts a chance to live! Stop updating the versions one after another!! We can’t take it!!”

”Give us a break!! I was just thinking I could finally relax for a week since there’s no ability inheritance!! And now this?!??”

”Stop it!!”

”Give us a chance to live!!”

A huge amount of content was flooding the Forum. Soon, Sun Yu’s gaze fell on a reply with a rapidly increasing number of likes:

”Hey guys, you think it’s possible that the world’s number one Bottle Person caused this accelerated version update?”

”That person’s Combat Power is obviously stronger than the global top ten combined!”

”Could they have gotten their hands on a super bugged item?”

Sun Yu saw that people were already looking at his big bro with suspicion.

”My guess! Could it be that Magnus’s inheritance was unreasonable to begin with!”

”That thing was unexpectedly strong! A total beyond-version event!!”

”Do you guys remember that giant weapon of his after he died? The one taller than Mount Everest?”

”Since the apocalypse began, who has ever seen a boss drop its weapon after dying in the real world?”

”That’s clearly a beyond-version event...”

”I even have reason to believe that after the Version 4.4 update, we’ll be able to get drops from killing monsters...”

Sun Yu also saw that someone on the Forum had posted a very self-consistent theory. Moreover, this post speculating about Magnus’s unusual nature was also getting a ton of likes.

”Bro...”

After quickly browsing the Forum and discovering everyone had seen the Version 4.4 notice, but it was all just speculation with no definitive answers, Sun Yu turned his gaze back to Shen Fei.

”AH!!!”

Then, Sun Yu suddenly let out a shriek. He saw that text had once again appeared on his personal panel.

”HOLY SHIT!!!”

In his excitement, Sun Yu even heard his big bro Shen Fei roar out a disbelieving, ”Holy shit...”
