Taking the Mafia to the Magic World

Chapter 1086: 5-Star Grand Magus

When the attacks of the twelve enemies reached Vicente’s triangle, his pentagrams sprang into action, protecting him in this peculiar situation.

Even though he was clearly in meditation at that moment, his essences, which should have been preparing for a new connection in his soul, were deliberately protecting him.

But what those men attacking Vicente didn’t know was the action of the consciousness of the Throne of Darkness and Light, acting to keep its user’s position safe for the moments Vicente needed peace.

From its position in the center of that triangle, the black and gold throne made its pentagrams and those of Vicente’s first magical form act as they should.

The first of the effects took shape, with an electromagnetic barrier forming around the triangle area. Simultaneously, golden points of light appeared around that space, threatening to fire at the enemies. An instant later, golden blades broke out, counterattacking the first enemy blast about to come into contact with Vice’s powers.

Light was the fastest of the essences, so the attacks controlled by the throne were accurate, hitting some of the enemy attacks in time, competing on an equal level in terms of elemental quality and mana density.

The confident individuals from the local imperial family instantly changed their expressions when they saw their attacks countered so well. In that initial instant of dispute, they understood that Vicente wasn’t manipulating their minds into seeing an impossible pentagram configuration. That really was his magic base!

”What a bastard! Where did that monster come from?” One of the peak Grand Magus asked, as several attacks that weren’t stopped by Vice’s blades of light slowed down until they began to be repelled by an invisible force.

Metallic shapes emerged from the ground in Vicente’s vicinity, causing the entire area they were in to tremble as if a strong earthquake was starting.

From these metallic forms, all of them showed, after only 3 seconds, glows and rational movements, intelligent enough to make some of the men launching their second burst of attacks uncomfortable.

Prisiche sprang into action along with the throne, assuming one of the metallic forms lifted off the ground by her master’s magnetic powers. Acting freely, as if she were a monkey, she leaped between the branches of the area, showing a mid-8th stage cultivation as she moved forward against an opponent that even the sect master who had raised her wouldn’t dare attack. But she didn’t fear the high-level Grand Magus, using Vicente’s powers on her own to attack.

Blue lightning flashed from her fists as she intuitively heard the thoughts and attempts at mental transmission of some of those individuals.

”No, no, no, no reinforcements!” She raised her palms in the air as she shifted her attack focus so quickly that she knocked the enemy off balance with her attempted counterattack. Raising her hands in the air above her head, she launched an electromagnetic pulse over the area, interfering with all communication devices and even the opponents’ mental powers.

Those trying to relay what was happening there to others felt something invisible fry their minds. They stopped what they were doing and put their hands to their heads, then screamed in horror at Prisiche’s attack!

’She’s become a copy of Vicente. Prisiche can use almost all of his powers using one of his metal creations!’ Larissa watched in silence, open-mouthed, seeing a level of combat that she could no longer keep up with.

’Apparently only Prisiche will be able to keep up with him in the not-too-distant future...’ She thought sadly, aware that even though she was talented, her talent was far behind his.

She felt that, to be able to help him, she would have to have a higher cultivation than Vicente, which would require her to progress at a faster rate than even he did!

Not imagining herself capable of this feat, she muttered to Lyra and Rex. ”I’m going to travel with the group to the next island. After that I’ll go my own way. It won’t be possible to stay by his side for much longer.”

Rex and Lyra looked at Larissa thoughtfully, both aware that these were true words and that they applied to them too.

As they thought about their surroundings, where others were also watching, the 12 local magical beings’ attempt to get past Vicente’s defenses failed one after the other. After almost a minute of exchanging attacks against Vicente’s powers, the group attacking him grew angrier, seeing how a single man, meditating in the midst of absorbing a pentagram, could paralyze them all.

The members of the local imperial family cursed Vicente and his minions in their minds, unimpressed to the point that they would have to fear for their lives, but clearly unable to advance beyond what they had arrived at after the initial moments of combat.

Once Vicente’s strength had been proven, some of the 12 individuals were beginning to think about changing their strategies or even giving up on the situation.

It was in this moment of doubt that something that was possible, but that some of them hadn’t thought of amid the tension of the dispute and assassination attempt against Vicente, showed itself to be happening.

Violet sparks spread around Vicente, in particular from some of his indigo pentagrams. Simultaneously, 10 times more mana than this area normally had began to condense around the black-haired boy, making his whole body glow differently.

Then, when they realized what was happening, their eyes widening in shock at how much Vicente could still improve, those individuals attacking him stopped almost instantly.

They couldn’t move away from the area as they wished at that critical moment. Each of the twelve felt Vicente’s aura grow significantly, while the influence of the boy’s electromagnetic, light, and dark powers increased a few times.

The metallic elements in the bodies of the 12 individuals trembled, making it harder for them to move. Meanwhile, their leftovers seemed to bind their limbs, their eyes seeing an increasingly strong golden glow in front of them.

Sounds of saliva being swallowed and fearful breaths coming in filled the silence of the paused combat, as four of Vicente’s pentagrams exploded, suddenly changing as they transformed into totally violet versions of themselves.

Along with this transformation, a fifth violet pentagram of that magical form, the ninth pentagram of that color of Vicente’s now 16 pentagrams, showed itself as he finally reached his full magical capacity for his mana cultivation!

He opened his eyes from his position, making the domain of darkness and light take over the surroundings, paying no respect to any of the high level Grand Magus around.

His cultivation jumped to the 5-Star Grand Magus stage, allowing him the maximum power he had ever controlled in his magical journey!
