Shen Hanyue said, ”Elder Hu’s cultivation is the strongest because her comprehension is the best?”

Zhao Qingying nodded, ”Elder Hu is a rare genius in ten thousand years, not only is her aptitude exceptional, but her comprehension is also top-notch, with the demeanor of a Spirit Venerable.”

Shen Hanyue said, ”Then it would be great to become a disciple under Elder Hu.”

Zhao Qingying said calmly, ”Joining such, firstly, there are too many disciples, making it hard to give due attention, secondly, we would be looked down upon.”

People from Little Outer Heaven lack innate talent, like Xiao Ruoling and Shen Hanyue, they were able to comprehend the Taoye Marrow Cleansing Technique relying on their own comprehension.

But I comprehended it through the Truth Enlightenment Fruit, which is opportunistic.

My comprehension isn’t as good as the two girls’.

Comprehension alone is not enough to truly become a true disciple, with such aptitude, Elder Hu wouldn’t consider us.

”Looked down upon?” Shen Hanyue snorted.

Zhao Qingying said, ”Elder Hu cannot tolerate foolish people.”

Xiao Ruoling asked softly, ”Impatient?”

Zhao Qingying slowly nodded.

Xiao Ruoling said, ”Then let’s listen to Junior Sister Zhao and become disciples under Elder Qin.”

She looked at Shen Hanyue.

Shen Hanyue said, ”Alright, I’ll listen to Senior Sister.”

Zhao Qingying looked surprised at Shen Hanyue.

Shen Hanyue hummed, ”Senior Sister’s decision is never wrong.”

Zhao Qingying looked at Xiao Ruoling, ”This is a big deal, it concerns a lifetime of cultivation. Does Senior Sister Xiao not want to reconsider carefully?”

Xiao Ruoling gently shook her head, ”Let it be decided, shall we go and pay respects to Elder Qin?”

”...Okay.” Zhao Qingying slowly nodded.

——

The three of them left the small courtyard, heading east all the way.

The Heavenly Palace where they resided was vast, roughly the size of a small city.

They walked over ten miles, all the way to the easternmost large hall.

Written on the hall in large letters were ”Dust-Free Hall.”

Inside the hall was a bustling group of middle-aged women in blue clothes.

Some were doing accounting, some reviewing files, others were writing and drawing.

Seeing the three of them enter, a middle-aged woman in blue approached lightly.

Xiao Ruoling explained their situation, wanting to meet Elder Qin Ruolan.

”Please follow me, Senior Sisters.” The middle-aged woman in blue smiled and said, ”Elder Qin lives in the Cherishing Moon Courtyard.”

She led the three women out of the hall and to a plaza not far from the hall.

The plaza was decorated with various patterns, and there were doors painted with a bright moon.

She led the three women to stand on one door, a crystal-clear waist token at her waist flashed once.

The four of them disappeared.

The next moment, they appeared outside a White Jade Palace.

The White Jade Palace was magnificent and stood atop a towering mountain formed by white clouds.

Surrounded by five other palaces, the six palaces together formed a snowflake shape.

The middle-aged woman in blue spoke softly, ”Elder Qin.”

A gentle voice came from inside the hall, ”Come in.”

The middle-aged woman in blue gestured to the three women, but she did not follow.

Xiao Ruoling glanced at her sleeve, where the flying knife was located.

She took a deep breath and stepped forward onto the white jade steps.

The two women followed closely behind her.

As they stepped onto the steps, a woman in a blue robe gracefully appeared at the door.

She had a moderate build, her wide blue robe wrapped around her graceful figure.

Her features were gentle, her bright eyes like spring water, and she serenely observed the three women.

Xiao Ruoling clasped her fists and saluted, ”True Disciple Xiao Ruoling greets Elder Qin.”

”True Disciple Zhao Qingying greets Elder Qin.”

”True Disciple Shen Hanyue greets Elder Qin.”

Qin Ruolan waved her hand, indicating they needn’t be overly formal, showing a faint smile, ”You are the new true disciples? The three who comprehended the Taoye Marrow Cleansing Technique?”

”Yes.” Xiao Ruoling said, ”The three of us disciples wish to become disciples under the elder.”

”Oh—?” Qin Ruolan smiled, ”Why are you looking to become my disciples, not because we all have the character ’Ru’ in our names, right?”

Xiao Ruoling shook her head, ”We are dull, teaching us may require much heart and effort.”

”You were able to comprehend the Taoye Marrow Cleansing Technique, your comprehension surpasses mine, you are certainly not dull-minded.”

”Disciples were merely lucky, we had good fortune.”

”Hmm, comprehending the Taoye Marrow Cleansing Technique indeed requires three parts luck, ...very well, I shall accept you, but hope you won’t regret it later.”

”Greetings, Master!” Xiao Ruoling immediately knelt on the ground.

Zhao Qingying and Shen Hanyue followed, kneeling on the steps.

Receiving their salute, Qin Ruolan slowly said, ”Follow me inside.”

The three women stood up, following her into the hall.

On the north wall inside the hall hung numerous paintings; the entire wall was about ten meters high and thirty meters long.

There were sixteen paintings in total, connected as one, each depicting a woman in white delivering a palm under the moonlight, her movements light and graceful.

The bright moon shone vividly, the wide palace attire seemed to flutter in the night breeze.

Every painting portrayed a movement, all showing the woman delivering a palm under the bright moon.

As they entered the hall, they were stunned by the sixteen paintings.

The powerful visual impact left them momentarily confused.

After a while, they regained their senses, looking at Qin Ruolan, who stood aside smiling warmly.

Qin Ruolan chuckled lightly at them, ”This is the Profound Yin Divine Palm, seems ordinary, doesn’t it?”

Xiao Ruoling asked, ”Master, is this the Profound Yin Divine Palm that we need to practice until the Divinity Transformation Realm or even Spirit Transformation Realm?”

Qin Ruolan said, ”These were painted by me based on the Profound Yin Divine Palm’s legacy, I’ve already painted them three times.”

Shen Hanyue asked puzzledly, ”Why paint them three times?”

”With each new realm I reach, I feel like my previous understanding of the Profound Yin Divine Palm was wrong, ...from the Qi Transformation Realm, to the Transformation Realm, to the Divinity Transformation Realm, the understanding of the Profound Yin Divine Palm differs, clearly one set of hand skills, yet feels like three different hand skills.”

”No wonder I couldn’t understand.” Shen Hanyue suddenly understood.

Qin Ruolan laughed, ”What you need to see is the original legacy diagram, ...go to Wanxiang Hall to look, then come back to see the paintings I made, follow me.”

She waved her hand, turning to open a door on the wall, stepping through the door.

The three women hurried to follow, finding themselves out of the hall and arriving at a corridor.

The end of the corridor was another large hall.

The corridor was ten meters wide and a hundred meters long, with white jade railings on both sides.

Beyond the railings was the void.

Despite being this high, there was no wind, overhead was a clear blue sky and a bright sun, truly giving a sense of a mild sunny day.

The three women followed Qin Ruolan to a pavilion at the other side of the corridor, and upon entering the pavilion, they saw a hand training diagram of a woman in white that was no different from the previous painting.

Shen Hanyue looked at the sixteen images puzzledly and asked, ”Master, don’t these look exactly the same as the previous sixteen images?”

Qin Ruolan smiled and remained silent, looking at Xiao Ruoling and Zhao Qingying.

Xiao Ruoling furrowed her brows slightly, carefully examining, when Chu Zhiyuan’s voice suddenly echoed in her mind, ”These sixteen images are entirely different from the previous sixteen.”

Xiao Ruoling’s bright eyes flickered, she said nothing.

Chu Zhiyuan said, ”The rhythm is different, this set of hand skills should be faster, while the previous set of hand skills should be extremely slow.”

Xiao Ruoling observed intently again, and softly said, ”This set of hand skills is lighter, while the previous set was heavier, right?”

Qin Ruolan nodded approvingly.

Zhao Qingying asked, ”Is it due to the difference in one’s own strength?”

”More importantly, it’s the mental realm.” Qin Ruolan said, ”The mental state and the mental realm need to be in harmony, different cultivation will result in different mental states, and understandings of the hand skills’ mental realm can vary, these subtleties need to be pondered by yourselves.”

The three of them nodded solemnly.

Qin Ruolan then led them to another large hall to see the third hand skill diagram.

After they finished viewing it, she instructed them to go to Wanxiang Hall to contemplate on their own.

Xiao Ruoling returned to her small courtyard, letting out a long sigh of relief.

Luckily, Master didn’t notice anything unusual about the flying knife.

...

The next day, when the three women came back, they found that Qin Ruolan was preparing to leave.

Xiao Ruoling quickly asked for the reason.

Qin Ruolan had urgent matters and needed to go to the Imperial City.
