Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 963, Beg for Mercy?

The three Ancient Gods’ thinking was simple.

If they committed suicide now, they would fly off to some other place, taint it with their Ancient God Power and reconstitute them as new entities.

Although they would enter slumber and would not awaken again in this era, at least they could guarantee they would still possess their Divine Seats.

At worst, they would awaken later in the next era and participate in the Ancient Gods Struggle For Supremacy again.

As long as they remained Ancient Gods, it was better than disappearing from the world forever.

However, if they were killed by Lu Fan, the outcome would not be as hopeful.

He was also an Ancient God and possessed methods to seize Divine Seats.

If their Divine Seats were seized, then everything would be finished!

After one Ancient God made this suggestion, the other two deeply agreed. Immediately, light bloomed in their hands as they prepared to use Skills to end themselves.

But just as they showed signs of releasing Skills, a voice came from high above. “Planning to commit suicide?”

“Fools. You’re my spoils of war. Only I get to say how I deal with you three!” As those words fell, Ice Element Dragon Breath poured down from above, instantly freezing the three Ancient Gods into ice sculptures, barring them from moving.

Lu Fan descended from above, looked down at these three Ancient Gods, and said with a *tsk tsk* “So this is your True Body?”

“I’ve seen so many Ancient Gods, but I really haven’t seen ones as weak as you three. Not only is your strength weak, even your True Bodies are so frail. You can even be sealed by any random Skill from my Pet Dragons. If someone had told me before that there were such weak Ancient Gods, I absolutely wouldn’t have believed it.”

After speaking, Lu Fan didn’t receive any response.

He laughed self-deprecatingly. “Look at me, knowing full well you’re this weak, yet still thinking you’d at least have the ability to speak. How foolish of me.”

With that, he replicated Xiao Ye’s Skill. Extending his right hand, flames rose from it while magma continuously dripped down.

Lu Fan slapped each of the three Ancient Gods on the head in turn, melting the ice seal on their heads before withdrawing his hand.

This Skill ensured they retained their consciousness while being unable to escape.

The three Ancient Gods recovered from being frozen. Upon seeing Lu Fan, they were filled with terror. After all, they were now Frozen, lacking even the ability to commit suicide.

As such, they were now Lu Fan’s spoils of war; he could deal with them however he wished.

“What… what exactly do you want to do!?” One Ancient God lost all composure. “Let’s talk this through!”

“As long as you don’t strip us of our Divine Seats, we can agree to anything!”

“We can help you be the God King in the Ancient Gods Struggle For Supremacy, and we can also help you deal with other Ancient Gods.”

Another Ancient God hastily added. “Right, right, right! Though we seem weak, it’s actually only because our degree of awakening isn’t high.”

“As long as our degree of awakening increases, we are actually quite strong. We can definitely assist you!”

“You’ve just become an Ancient God. Your degree of awakening isn’t high either.”

“Why don’t we cooperate well and help you become the God King?”

“Once you become the God King, you can rewrite the world’s rules and become the true Ruler of Dragons!”

Hearing this, Lu Fan smiled slightly, letting the three Ancient Gods see hope.

“I do indeed need your Ancient God Power. After all, to deal with the Ancient Gods, I still needed Ancient God Power.”

“Relying solely on this world’s Mechanics Level was not a solution for the Ancient Gods.”

Upon hearing this, the three Ancient Gods immediately seemed to see hope, hastily saying. “Exactly, exactly!”

“We three are extremely useful.”

“We know you want to oppose the Ancient Gods. If you kill us and seize our Divine Seats, you’ll only have three fewer enemies.”

“But if you spare us, you won’t just have three fewer enemies; you’ll gain three more allies!”

“Whether you wish to protect this era or become God King yourself, sparing us is the best choice!”

One Ancient God even spat out a piece of metal. This metal gleamed with light, almost identical to the Asura King’s body.

After spitting out this metal, the Ancient God said. “Look, this is the Source of the Asura Clan, left behind from the previous era’s ruins.”

“We can already use our Ancient God Power to skillfully control the Asura Clan’s Source, allowing us to manifest that Asura King!”

“It’s just that because our degree of awakening is still low that the Asura King’s true strength couldn’t be fully displayed.”

“As long as our degree of awakening gets higher, the Asura King we control will be even stronger; potentially exceeding even Mid Tier Ancient Gods!”

“At that time, we’ll be a major asset by your side!”

The other Ancient Gods also hurriedly agreed, wanting to persuade Lu Fan to spare their lives.

Lu Fan smiled upon hearing this. “Is that so? So, your Ancient God Power is that formidable.”

“If that’s truly the case, once your Ancient God Power recovers more in the future, won’t I be unable to suppress you anymore? At that time, if you betray me and attack, what should I do?”

“Uh…” This time, all the Ancient Gods didn’t know how to explain.

It seemed that when they had just boasted about how formidable they were, they had dug a pit and buried themselves in it.

After a long while, one Ancient God finally said. “You can rest assured about this. We’d never do such a thing.”

“You’re very strong. We’re completely convinced and acknowledge you as this era’s God King.”

“Helping you become God King benefits us too, doesn’t it?”

“Is that so?” Lu Fan’s smile deepened. “You’d acknowledge me as God King, rather than the previous God King, the Fallen Corpse Ancient God?”

“You Ancient Gods, at your age, have all lived like dogs. You can’t even lie properly!” Lu Fan reached this point, his smile vanishing as killing intent fully emerged.

“If I kill you, I can still obtain your Ancient God Power and pass it to others to use. Compared to you three, I trust my friends more. So, all of you, take a good rest, for this will be your final slumber!”

With that, Lu Fan’s right hand transformed into a Dragon Claw, about to strike down all three Ancient Gods and seize their Divine Seats.

Seeing that begging for mercy was useless and Lu Fan’s killing intent was set, the three Ancient Gods all fell silent.

However, one Ancient God suddenly erupted, roaring. “You won’t give us even the slightest chance!? We’re Ancient Gods! If you push us to a dead end, you won’t benefit from it either! Between us, who kills whom is still uncertain!”

With that, the Ancient God suddenly opened its mouth. A golden light burst from its mouth with terrifying might, instantly piercing through Lu Fan’s chest.
