Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 584, Only Lu Fan Gets to Bully Others

Translator: Silavin

Never mind a Level 120 Epic Boss. Even a Legendary Boss would not be his match now.

However, after Lu Fan finished speaking, the expression on Han Ke’s face showed no signs of relief whatsoever. She still wore the same worried expression as before.

It was Jian Ying beside them who took the initiative to speak, persuading her. “Sister Han, I believe Lu Fan is right. Do you really need to worry about him? Although you do not have a Combat Specialised Profession, we usually clear Dungeon Instances together. Are you not familiar with how strong he is? Whether they are Players or Monsters, encountering Lu Fan is nothing short of a catastrophic misfortune for them! Have you seen anyone bully him? Only he gets to bully others.”

Qin Qiu also offered reassurance from the side. “She’s right, Sister Han, you really don’t need to worry. While I do not understand why Lu Fan wishes to travel on foot to the Western Border, since he has made this decision, surely he has his own reasons. We don’t need to concern ourselves over him. In my view, nothing in Dragon Country can pose a threat to him.”

Han Ke furrowed her delicate brows slightly. “I know. I too know that he is strong. But I just cannot help feeling… ah, fine. You are right. Given how strong Fan’er is, I really should not need to worry about him.”

At this point, Han Ke gave a self-deprecating laugh, looking at Lu Fan. “Although only a year has passed, in my eyes, Fan’er remains exactly as before. To me, he will always be that boy who went to school every day and came home saying he was hungry and wanted to eat my Buns.”

These words brought laughter from everyone present, including Lu Fan.

Han Ke continued with a change in tone. “Although I agree to your plan, to travel on foot to the Western Border, Fan’er, you must at least tell me why you wish to travel like this?”

Lu Fan nodded and patiently explained. “This could actually be considered a form of training. When I was travelling with Senior Tu Jing to the Far North, I had spent several months there. During those months, while my Level did not increase a whole lot, my comprehend of my capabilities quickly improved. You should all have been able to sense this, right?”

The others nodded in agreement.

Indeed, after Lu Fan returned from participating in the National Trial, he had taken everyone to clear a Dungeon Instance once in Death Desert Ocean.

In that Dungeon Instance, Lu Fan demonstrated exceptional skill in his Wilderness survival techniques. In the unfamiliar Dungeon Instance, he was completely unaffected by traps there.

At that time, they all felt that Lu Fan had become far more formidable. This improvement was not reflected in his Attributes or Skills though.

Some individuals were like this. One might see that their Attributes were not higher than their opponents’, yet in PvP, such individuals consistently emerge victorious.

Even if they could not win in PvP, when both parties are placed in the Wilderness, such individuals could utilise the Map Mechanics to eliminate their opponents and achieve a flawless victory.

This capability was not granted by Attributes. It stems entirely from experience.

Therefore, during that period in the Far North, while Lu Fan’s Level did not increase much, but his comprehensive capabilities underwent a complete transformation.

This was something everyone could perceive.

Seeing everyone nod, Lu Fan continued with a smile. “Actually, I plan to travel on foot to the Western Border for the same goal—to train. Continuously clearing Dungeon Instances remains merely that, clearing Dungeon Instances. Engaging in PvP with others can only increase my experience with PvP and cannot enhance my combat awareness in the Wilderness.”

“In the God’s Tomb Secret Realm I am heading to, I shall compete with numerous experts within a single Secret Realm for Divine Tempering Liquid. The situation would be more akin to combat in the wilderness.”

“Only by returning to the Wilderness can I truly train my capabilities. Moreover, I have just acquired the Little Blade Armour Dragon King. Regarding how to fully utilise it, that I do not know. Engaging in combat in the Wilderness will allow me to better master its power and unleash its true potential.”

“Furthermore, the Wilderness also contains Monsters I can hunt for Experience Points, which can be considered training for the Blade Armour Dragon King as well. Before the God’s Tomb Secret Realm opens, its Level should not fall behind.”

“Overall, this is a perfectly sound plan, and I believe it will work.”

After listening to Lu Fan’s explanation, Han Ke could not find words of opposition.

Indeed, compared to travelling on foot all the way to the Western Border, those Level 100 experts in the God’s Tomb Secret Realm represented its true threat.

Since Lu Fan intended to train himself through this method, Han Ke naturally offered no objection.

Moreover, Lu Fan had also mentioned that although he would travel on foot to the Western Border, this did not mean he would be unable to reunite with everyone during the journey.

In fact, if he wished to reunite with everyone, it would be remarkably simple—he need only return to Shadow Isle.

As the Territory Master of Shadow Isle, Lu Fan could create a total of three Transport Arrays.

One would remain at Dragon Capital University, one at Jianghai City, and the third he could use himself.

If he could not complete the journey on foot to the Western Border, he could simply use Shadow Isle as a transfer point and return.

With this arrangement, everyone felt much more at ease about Lu Fan undertaking this trial spanning thousands of kilometres.

Lu Fan’s departure was scheduled for the day after tomorrow.

With only one month remaining until the God’s Tomb Secret Realm opened, time would be quite tight if he travelled on foot. Everyone had no objections to this.

Soon, two days passed, and Lu Fan departed from Jianghai City as promised, heading into the Wilderness and flying continuously towards the Western Border.

For this journey, Lu Fan planned to ride Ye Sha throughout, minimising unnecessary time spent. Thus, reaching the Western Border on foot within a month would be relatively manageable.

In the blink of an eye, nearly a month had passed.

During this month, Lu Fan travelled westward continuously. When he encountered cities, he directly bypassed them. Only when he reached locations with High Level Monster Maps would he temporarily halt and venture deep within to explore.

Within Dragon Country’s borders, there were many Maps designated as Forbidden Areas due to the excessively High Monster Levels.

Lu Fan’s journey deliberately targeted precisely such Forbidden Areas.

He passed through four Forbidden Areas in total. The Monsters in two of these maps were all above Level 100, while in the other two, Monster levels reached as high as 120 and 130!

This delighted Lu Fan immensely. He thoroughly explored these four Forbidden Areas, seeking out the most ferocious Bosses to hunt.

In each Map, Lu Fan made gains, with countless Bosses falling to his hands.

He even discovered a Level 110 Nightmare Grade Opportune Secret Realm, which he Cleared Solo, obtaining numerous Rewards.

Through living so many days out in the Wilderness, Lu Fan’s Level successfully reached 65, with his other Pet Dragons achieving similar progress.

As for the Blade Armour Dragon King with the lowest Level, its Level had also caught up, reaching an impressive 57.
