Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 440, Ning Tu of the Ning Family

Translator: Silavin

Zhuang Meng, a man the Ancient Noble Families of the Western Border all knew very well.

He was once the Patriarch of a Third Tier Ancient Noble Family, the Zhuang Family. In terms of Combat Power, he was no weaker than the Old Patriarch of the Ye Family. In fact, among the Third Tier Ancient Noble Families, both the Zhuang Family and Zhuang Meng himself stood at the very top.

It was said that this man had even touched the threshold of breaking through Level 99 to Level 100, with prospects of achieving this breakthrough within three to five years.

Because of this, the Zhuang Family in the outer regions of the Western Border had once positioned themselves as a Second Tier Ancient Noble Family, particularly arrogant.

Rumour had it that later, the Zhuang Family offended some formidable entity, and the entire massive Zhuang Family Residence was slaughtered in a single night.

As for who did it, who wiped out the Zhuang Family, nobody knew.

But later, someone said that the Second Son of a Second Tier Ancient Noble Family, Ning Tu, had a new Summon, a Ghost General made from a Level 100 Player.

This Ghost General seemed to be the missing Zhuang Meng.

To have someone at Level 100, naturally the Ancient Noble Family could indeed be called a Second Tier Ancient Noble Family. However, even among Second Tier Ancient Noble Families, there were differences.

For example, the Ning Family was considered top among Second Tier Ancient Noble Families. As for the Zhuang Family, their annihilation was likely due to their arrogance and having offended the Ning Family.

It was because of this incident that though most Third Tier Ancient Noble Families did not know much about the Second Tier Ancient Noble Families above them, but all had heard of the Ning Family.

The Huang Family was no exception.

With the precedent of the Zhuang Family’s annihilation, when the Ning Family approached the Huang Family and demanded them to hand over all the Earth Cores they mined for free, the Huang Family dared not refuse.

If the Huang Family Elder were here now, he would certainly recognise this unprepossessing midget. Despite looking comical, he was actually the Second Son of the Ning Family, Ning Tu – a genuine Level 100 Player!

Not only that, Ning Tu possess the Hidden Profession, Puppet Master. No one knew what its Profession Characteristics were, only that it was similar to Beast Tamers.

However, what he trained were not Monsters, but Puppets made from deceased Players.

Ning Tu possessed three Fourth Profession Players as his puppets, and with his many Buff Skills to enhance his Puppets, it was said his three Fourth Profession Puppets could rival a Level 100 Player.

And now, Ning Tu had made Zhuang Meng into a puppet, making his strength increase dramatically.

The Huang Family Elder would have absolutely no chance against Ning Tu.

The combined power of Ning Tu and Zhuang Meng, two Level 100s, could easily crush the Huang Family.

So, if the Huang Family Elder were still alive and knew that Ning Tu had brought Zhuang Meng all the way from the Ning Family to the Huang Family, he would likely be scared out of his wits.

Unfortunately, the Huang Family Elder had long since died, and now, the Ye Family controlled the Huang Family.

Ning Tu sat on Zhuang Meng’s shoulder, in no hurry to rush, just letting Zhuang Meng leisurely stroll forward.

Whenever any Monster or mountain blocked their path, Zhuang Meng would strike and smash it to pieces.

Proceeding like this, the two finally arrived at the Huang Family Residence.

Because Lu Fan had intentionally spared the Huang Family members’ lives, not treating them like the Loong Family by obliterating them with Billion Neutron Star Annihilation, the Huang Family Residence remained as before.

However, the plaque on the Huang Family Residence had been changed to display the Ye Family.

Naturally, Ye Wuxian would not stay there.

The one watching over the residence was the Huang Family’s last Fourth Profession Player, Huang Yingheng.

At this moment, Huang Yingheng was in the main hall of the residence, discussing with a group of people how to maintain the operation of the Ye Family’s resources.

At the entrance of the Huang Family Residence, there were only a few Third Profession guards keeping watch.

Ning Tu and Zhuang Meng’s leisurely approach naturally attracted the attention of these guards.

Usually, apart from people from the various Ancient Noble Families, few visitors came to the Western Border, let alone two such strange individuals.

Several guards immediately became alert, drew their weapons, and stepped forward to block Ning Tu.

“Halt! Who are you!? Ahead is the Ye Family Residence. Unauthorized personnel are not allowed to approach!” The leader, holding a long sword, pointed it at Ning Tu and Zhuang Meng. However, when he saw their Level displayed above Zhuang Meng’s head, his pupils contracted and his whole body trembled. He was unable to hold his sword steady.

As a Third Profession Player, he was already considered quite skilled but he had never seen a Level 100 Player before!

[Level 100!? How is this possible!?]

The other guards also gasped in astonishment when they saw Zhuang Meng’s Level, not knowing what to do.

Ning Tu was unconcerned, clearly not seeing these guards as worthy of his attention.

He looked at the plaque on the Huang Family Residence and noticed it had indeed been changed to the Ye Family. He could not help but laugh. “The Ye Family? Seems like the reason the Huang Family has not delivered the Earth Cores for so long is because this happened. Still, no matter what happened to the Huang Family, what our Ning Family wants cannot be short-changed!”

“Zhuang Meng, go in and see where the Earth Cores we need are.”

As soon as Ning Tu finished speaking, Zhuang Meng stepped forward, intending to smash straight through the main gate of the Huang Family Residence.

The guards immediately panicked. The leader, though fearful, still stepped forward to block them, constrained by his duty as a guard. Though, his tone was far more fearful this time. “Stop! You cannot approach the Ye Family Residence. If you have urgent business, we can report—”

*Bang!* Zhuang Meng acted as if he had not seen the man, stepping forward and crushing him underfoot, killing him instantly.

Meanwhile, in the main hall of the Huang Family Residence.

“This mine needs at least a hundred more Second Profession or Higher Players to ensure maximum efficiency in mining… I know we’re short on manpower, but this mineral resource is extremely valuable and is of highest priority. When we recruit the needed Players, we should send them here first. As for their compensation, everything is negotiable…”

Huang Yingheng was holding a meeting with seven or eight people, diligently handling the Ye Family’s construction work.

Just then, a series of huge commotions sounded from outside the hall.

This displeased Huang Yingheng, who shouted angrily. “What’s with the noise outside!? If you continue to disrupt our meeting, we won’t need you to guard anymore. You’ll be miners instead!”

*Boom!* A massive sound, and one wall of the hall was blasted apart.

Ning Tu sat on Zhuang Meng’s shoulder, slowly approaching through the dust, while mockingly asking, “You want me to mine for you?”
