Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 344, The Unfindable Shadow Dragon King Contract Materials

Translator: Silavin

A week had passed since Lu Fan and others had successfully returned to Dragon Country. During this week, Lu Fan, Han Ke, and others had basically stayed in Villa No. 2, rarely going out and properly enjoying their time at home.

Although they had Lu Fan with them while in Extremistis Country, the women were still shaken by the experience. Staying in the villa for a few days to calm down did help with their mental state.

Lu Fan naturally was not idling around, doing nothing. These days, he and Ye Wuxian visited the Prosperous Heaven Auction House multiple times, asking Du Yaqiu if they could find the materials needed for the Shadow Dragon King Contract.

After all, Lu Fan had no major matters at hand right now. The urgent priority was dealing with the situation at hand.

Among the materials for the Shadow Dragon King Contract, the most precious should be the Ancient God Crystal, which Divine Bone had already ‘given’ to him. As for other materials, though rare and precious, with the Prosperous Heaven Auction House’s capabilities, they should be able to help Lu Fan collect them.

The results proved to be true. After Lu Fan showed the materials list to Du Yaqiu, she indicated that she had seen most of these materials pass through the Prosperous Heaven Auction House. If they posted high-price acquisition notices, they should be able to quickly collect them.

Moreover, Lu Fan was now very famous in Dragon Country. First, he took first place in the National Trial, being named a hero of Dragon Country. Later, he had a near-death experience in Extremistis Country before returning home. At this time, his life and death story had moved many hearts. So, more people would want to help him.

Therefore, if the Prosperous Heaven Auction House publicly announced that these materials were needed by Lu Fan, many material holders would likely sell them to the auction house, or might even donate them.

Besides the Prosperous Heaven Auction House, Du Yaqiu also mobilized her network of connections. She had also asked the other auction houses to help post acquisition notices for Lu Fan’s needed materials, striving to use every channel to help Lu Fan create the Shadow Dragon King Contract.

Through Du Yaqiu’s efforts, in just a week’s time, most of the required contract materials were collected. These materials were all given directly to Lu Fan without charging anything.

Currently, only eight materials from the contract remain uncollected. Though these materials were precious and rare, with the Prosperous Heaven Auction House’s capabilities, collecting them would only be a matter of time.

However, gathering all the materials for this Mythical Grade Contract was not simple. Among them, there were three materials that all auction houses had never even heard of, let alone acquired.

These three materials were Shadow Isle Essence, Shadow Spring Water, and Shadow Crown. All three materials had the ‘Shadow’ prefix and should come from the same place.

However, even after Ye Wuxian accompanied Lu Fan to search through the Dragon Capital University library for a long time, they still could not find where these three materials could be found. These materials likely came from some unexplored Map, which was why they were not included in the records.

This made things quite troublesome. After all, ninety percent of the world was still unexplored. Who knew which areas or Maps these materials came from? If they were from some Forbidden Area, when would Lu Fan be able to collect the materials?

Seeing the nearly craftable Shadow Dragon King Contract stuck at its final step, Lu Fan felt an unbearable itch in his heart. Still, he could do nothing except try his best to find traces of the Shadow Isle Essence and other materials.

Besides searching for these materials, Lu Fan basically stayed at home like the other girls, at most sparring with Jian Ying and Tao Xiaoman in the VIP Arena.

At noon, Han Ke called everyone down for lunch. The meal was more abundant than usual, and they barely managed to fit everything after joining two dining tables together.

After all, Lu Fan now had to feed four Pet Dragons, and just these four Pet Dragons’ appetites were two or three times that of everyone else combined.

Fortunately, the Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon Kings did not have Infant Forms, so they could not stay at home, much less enjoy Han Ke’s cooking. Otherwise, the amount Han Ke would need to cook each day would likely increase more than tenfold.

Humans and Pet Dragons sat around the dining table and began heartily feasting. Except for Tao Xiaoman, who kept talking about wanting to lose weight, holding a plate of salad while browsing through the news on her tablet.

According to her, with so many delicious dishes, it would be too difficult for her to hold back. She needed to distract herself with the tablet!

While eating, Tao Xiaoman suddenly exclaimed as if discovering earth-shattering news. “Oh my god, this is incredible!”

“Hey, Extremistis Country has huge news again! The Jin Family has been overthrown! Now, the Liu Family has now seized national power, officially declaring themselves as the Royal Family! Wow. I’m witnessing history in the making! The Jin Family has ruled over Extremistis Country for so many years, yet they’ve been overthrown by the Liu Family!?”

At these words, the other girls also became interested. After all, national power transitions were indeed major international events.

However, Lu Fan was not too surprised by this. He just continued eating while smiling. “This outcome is expected. Last time, when we were in Extremistis Country, we killed all the capable people in the Jin Family. The entire main Jin Family branch only has Jin Zhu left. There is no one capable who can manage the situation. Additionally, when I controlled Jin Zaixi to attack their towns, there were already rumours that the Jin Family had fallen under the control of the Heretical Sects. At that point, they had already completely lost all public trust. With the Jin Family teetering on the edge, they naturally would not have the power to continue ruling over Extremistis Country. Being overthrown is to be expected.”

Tao Xiaoman tilted her head and said. “I know that. But this one thing is surprising. The Liu Family was actually originally just a second-tier Noble Family in Extremistis Country. I heard that after we returned, all nine first-tier Noble Families in Extremistis Country were secretly fighting for control. If you think about it, it is strange that the Liu Family was the one that won out, since they are just a second-tier Noble Family. I wonder how they overturn the whole situation in just one short week?”

Jian Ying said expressionlessly from the side. “I heard that the Liu Family had a very powerful Fourth Profession Player appear, someone they had spent all their resources cultivating as their Successor. After this person appeared, they consecutively defeated all the other Noble Families who wanted to compete for power, overwhelming the masses and helping the Liu Family reach the peak of power.”

“Really?” Tao Xiaoman was surprised by this, “I did see some posts saying that the Liu Family had produced a top Player, seemingly even more dominant than Jin Zaixi. But, these posts are all just talk. They don’t even provide any pictures. So, I thought people were just making things up.”
