Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 252, Sturdy Hell Demon, So Miserable?!

Translator: Silavin

When the starlight gathered on Xing Chen reached its peak, it finally stopped accumulating and erupted with full force!

Instantly, a dazzling beam shot out from Xing Chen’s body, targeting directly at the Sturdy Hell Demon!

At the same time, under the command of the Fallen Corpse Magic Dragon, the Diabolical Hell Demon used Ghost Walk to avoid and move away from the Sturdy Hell Demon, in fear of being caught in the attack.

The Sturdy Hell Demon sensed the power of Starlight Annihilation and knew this beam was even more terrifying than the previous Neutron Star explosions!

It roared and layers of light shields appeared on its surface, trying to block the beam.

However, Starlight Annihilation completely ignored any Defensive Skill. These light shields were instantly destroyed upon contact.

Starlight Annihilation’s power did not diminish at all and landed on the Sturdy Hell Demon, causing it to howl in pain.

Meanwhile, Lu Fan and Xiao Ye’s Magma Burst, as well as the Fallen Corpse Magic Dragon’s Five Elements Dragon Incantation, were also charged and ready to strike at the Sturdy Hell Demon.

…

Outside the Dark Castle, Andrei swung his hammer fiercely, sending out a fire tornado that killed the last Corpse Eagle.

Now, there were no more Corpse Eagles circling in the sky, whether Corpse Eagles or Demon Skyhorn, they had all become corpses covering the entrance of the Dark Castle.

“I’m exhausted…” Andrei shouldered his hammer and wiped the sweat from his forehead.

The Corpse Eagles and Demon Skyhorn were only scouting Monsters from the Dark Castle. They were not particularly strong so Andrei could naturally handle them, though it took some effort.

However, the Corpse-Eating Worm that would appear next would be quite troublesome for Andrei.

The Corpse-Eating Worm was covered in thick shell armour, which had extremely strong Resistance to Physical Attack.

Although Andrei, as an Explosive Flame War God, appeared to be covered in flames and could create fire tornadoes with each hammer strike, most of his Skills were Physical Attacks, He had very little Magic Attack Skills. He was at a great disadvantage against the Corpse-Eating Worm.

If it was not for such limitations, Andrei could have actually cleared two more waves of this Dark Castle.

After clearing the Corpse Eagles and Demon Skyhorn, Andrei had already planned to retreat.

However, just as Andrei was about to turn and run, he found that the gate of the Dark Castle had not opened like last time.

[Both waves of Monsters had been cleared, so why isn’t the next wave coming out? How could this be? Could this be related to Lu Fan, who had already gone inside?] That was the only explanation Andrei could think of.

After thinking about it, curiosity made him decide to approach the Dark Castle to take a look. If there was any danger, with his strength, escape would not be difficult.

Andrei flapped his Flame Wings and arrived at the gate of the Dark Castle, wanting to push them open to check up on the situation inside.

However, just as Andrei’s hand touched the gate of the Dark Castle, they were struck by an enormous force from within and violently blown open!

Caught off guard, Andrei was blown away by the blast from inside, flying several hundred metres before crashing heavily to the ground.

While being blown through the air, he saw that the entire Dark Castle seemed to have been hit by an intense internal explosion, shaking violently and nearly collapsing.

The originally impregnable Dark Castle was now covered in cracks.

[What incredible power! Just what had happened inside the Dark Castle!?]

Andrei checked his Mission Panel and found that the Mission to hunt the Sturdy Hell Demon was still there, proving it was not dead yet.

[Could the disturbance earlier have been caused by the Sturdy Hell Demon? Is Lu Fan in grave danger!?]

Just as Andrei’s heart leaped with concern, Lu Fan emerged, riding Xiao Ye through the Dark Castle gate, proving Andrei’s worries to be unnecessary.

Lu Fan and Xiao Ye showed no signs of injury, clearly having victoriously returned from the battle.

“Brother, over here!” Andrei struggled to his feet, waving at Lu Fan while shouting, “How’s the situation? Are you alright!?”

Seeing Andrei, Lu Fan smiled. He rode on Xiao Ye towards him while tossing something in his direction.

With a dull *thud*, what Lu Fan threw landed in front of Andrei, startling him.

It was a Monster’s head, resembling a centipede but with an ugly Human face.

Though it was just a head, its millstone-size indicated that the Monster’s complete body must have been enormous, definitely a major Boss.

When Andrei used Appraisal on it, he was even more shocked. After all, this was actually the Sturdy Hell Demon!

The Sturdy Hell Demon’s body had been completely destroyed, leaving only its head!

However, its head had a Skill being cast on it, with Life Essence slowly flowing into it, barely keeping it alive.

Even so, having been so gravely wounded, the Sturdy Hell Demon had completely lost all ability to act.

Even so, its last breath could not be maintained for long.

[Is this really one of the Nine Hell Demons, the Sturdy Hell Demon!? Why is it so miserable? It was brought to the brink of death by Lu Fan, and now only has its head remaining!?] Andrei could not help but draw in a sharp breath.

He now confirmed that the attack that had blown him away earlier had nothing to do with the Sturdy Hell Demon, but was Lu Fan’s work.

Now, Lu Fan had emerged with the Sturdy Hell Demon’s head, while the Dark Castle’s gate was wide open, and not a single Monster was emerging from within.

Andrei could basically imagine what had happened inside.

Lu Fan had really single-handedly invaded the Dark Castle and slaughtered the entire Demon Army!

[Terrifying. This is just too terrifying!] Andrei felt like he must be dreaming, that this was a particularly unrealistic dream!

“Brother, what are you spacing out for!?” Seeing Andrei frozen like a statue upon seeing the Sturdy Hell Demon’s head, Lu Fan laughed. “I went through great lengths to keep this Sturdy Hell Demon alive, and even Buffed it to make sure it’s still alive. If you don’t act soon, when it dies, you will fail your Mission.”

“Ah!?” Andrei snapped out of his daze, but was also greatly surprised, “You’re giving this kill to me!?”

Lu Fan thought for a moment and said. “Actually, I’m not really giving you this kill. The Sturdy Hell Demon is special. I’ve already killed it and received the Experience Points and points. It is just that it’s not considered truly dead.”

“It’d be faster if you look at the Skill called ‘Undying’ in its Attribute Panel?”

Andrei had not noticed this, after all, Epic Grade Bosses had too many Skills, and he could not have possibly noticed this Skill with just that quick glance he gave earlier.

Following Lu Fan’s words, Andrei quickly checked the Sturdy Hell Demon’s Skills again, and indeed found this skill.

Silavin: I’m more inclined to use carcass for non Human dead bodies. But due to the Fallen Corpse Control, I have to resist the urge to use carcass and settle with corpse.
