We Agreed On Experiencing Life, So Why Did You Immortals Become Real?

Chapter 169: When We Become Immortals, Weʼll Definitely Come Find You!

”I want to take you all to seek immortals!”

Zheng Shanhan said seriously to his several brothers.

The others looked at each other, and except for Xiao Mo, they all couldnʼt help but scratch their heads.

”Big brother, what do you mean by seeking immortals?”

Old Third Tang Kuang didnʼt quite understand what big brother was talking about.

”Old Third, I mean it literally.”

Zheng Shanhan raised his head to look toward the distant mountains.

”Thereʼs a saying called ʼsurvival of the fittest.ʼ In this world, if you have ability, you have everything! Without ability, you have nothing.

Now we have gold, but can this gold last a lifetime?

It wonʼt work!
We canʼt even use this gold in Luofeng City for a short time.

If others knew we had gold, do you think we could stay alive?

Old Fifth almost had an accident last night!”

Everyone: ”...”

”So!”

Zheng Shanhanʼs tone became more determined.

”We need to become cultivators! We need to control othersʼ life and death, not let others control ours!”

Hearing big brotherʼs words, most people couldnʼt help but feel their blood boiling!

”But big brother, where should we go to seek immortals?”

Old Fourth Qian Zhenhao felt uncertain.

Seeking immortals, but where were there any immortals?

They had all heard that there were immortals in this world who could fly through the heavens and burrow into the earth, but they had never seen any...

”When I was in Luofeng City last time, I heard someone say that if you keep going north, thereʼs a sect called Black Dragon Sect, where there should be immortals!

If we can get the immortals to take us as disciples, our fate can change and this gold can serve as our travel expenses.”

”Big brother! Iʼll go with you!”

”Big brother! Iʼll go with you too!”

After seeing that big brother had thought it through, the brothers raised their hands one after another.

Although this rundown village wasnʼt bad but they couldnʼt stay in such a village for their whole lives and big brother was right.

Money would eventually run out. Only by becoming immortals could they avoid going hungry!

”Good!” Zheng Shanhan slapped his thigh hard, ”Since thatʼs the case, letʼs spend these few days breaking up this gold, get everything ready, then set off heading north!”

”Big brother... that... I...” Just then, Xiao Mo spoke up very inappropriately, ”I want to stay here.”

”Hmm?”

The other brothers all looked at Xiao Mo.

”Old Fifth, what did you say...” Zheng Shanhan thought he might have misheard.

”Big brother, I want to stay here. I wonʼt go seeking immortals.”

Xiao Mo repeated it seriously.

”Big brother, youʼre right. This world follows survival of the fittest. Only by having enough ability oneself can one live well!

But big brother... I donʼt have any thoughts of seeking immortals.”

As he spoke, Xiao Mo smiled and rubbed his nose, ”Big brother, to be honest, I actually want to look for my uncle and aunt. My uncle and aunt might be in Liang Kingdom.”

In reality, Xiao Mo had no uncle or aunt. This was just an excuse he made up.

Zheng Shanhan frowned and said seriously, ”Old Fifth, are you sure? After we leave, youʼll be all alone.”

”Big brother, I know.” Xiao Mo nodded, ”But big brother, I really want to find my family, and I donʼt want to drag you all down.

However, big brother, although weʼre separating temporarily, I believe weʼll definitely meet again in the future!”

”Alright... since Fifth Brother has made up his mind, big brother canʼt say much more.”

Zheng Shanhan tried unsuccessfully to persuade his fifth brother and had nothing more to say.

After all, Old Fifth still had family.

For Fifth Brother, compared to the ethereal path of immortality, finding family was indeed more practical.

The other brothers were reluctant to part with Old Fifth and continued trying to persuade him to come with them, but Xiao Mo politely declined them all.

Finally, they realized that Old Fifth had truly made up his mind.

Four days later, everyone broke the gold into small fragments and roughly filled five bags.

”Fifth Brother, take this gold. Remember to be careful every time you use it. Donʼt use it continuously in the same place, and itʼs best to exchange it for some silver fragments first.” Zheng Shanhan handed a bag to Xiao Mo.

Xiao Mo took it and weighed it, feeling that this bag contained about one jin of gold.

”Big brother, this is too much. I canʼt accept it.” Xiao Mo shook his head. He didnʼt think he had contributed much effort last night and shouldnʼt get so much.

”Take it when I tell you to!”

Zheng Shanhan stuffed the bag into Xiao Moʼs arms.

”We five brothers should each get one bag!

Besides, you have no one to look after you. Use this gold sparingly.

Even if you canʼt find your parents, you should be able to avoid going hungry for a long time.”

”Big brother...”

”Old Fifth! If you say anything more, big brother will get angry!”

Zheng Shanhan interrupted Xiao Moʼs words.

”Big brother... I understand.” Xiao Mo nodded, very moved in his heart, ”Big brother, I will repay this kindness.”

”Hahaha, what are you talking about? We five brothers donʼt need to talk about repayment.”

Zheng Shanhan patted Xiao Moʼs shoulder hard and looked at him solemnly.

”Fifth Brother, weʼre leaving. You must take good care of yourself! Remember, no matter what happens, you must survive. As long as youʼre alive, thereʼs hope for everything. If you die, thereʼs nothing left.”

Xiao Mo nodded, ”Big brother, Iʼll remember.”

”Letʼs go! I believe we brothers will definitely meet again in the future!”

Zheng Shanhan didnʼt hesitate and gave his brother a big hug.

”Fifth Brother, take care.”

”Old Fifth, you must do well.”

”When we become immortals, weʼll definitely come find you!”

The other brothers also hugged Xiao Mo one by one, their eyes showing reluctance.

Finally, Zheng Shanhan and the others left most of the food for Xiao Mo. The four of them only took a small portion and headed north.

Until their figures disappeared from sight, only then did Xiao Mo look away.

Although he couldnʼt eat from various households in this lifetime, he gained four brothers who had shared life and death with him. That was good.

In the following days, Xiao Mo lived alone in the village, eating wild vegetables dug from the mountains and the food his brothers had left behind, waiting for that little girl to arrive but four consecutive days passed without a single person coming to this abandoned village.

Xiao Mo began to doubt how long the ”short time” mentioned by the Book of a Hundred Lives actually was.

Could it be that several years was also considered ”short time”?

And on the fifth night of Xiao Moʼs anxious waiting.

Xiao Mo, who was sleeping in his room, suddenly sat up.

Outside the courtyard, there was movement!
