We Agreed On Experiencing Life, So Why Did You Immortals Become Real?

Chapter 88: Is That Person Very Important to Sister?

”Little one, whatʼs your name?”

The woman in the white dress stood outside the courtyard, hands clasped behind her back, smiling as she looked at the little boy collecting dried fish.

Xiao Mo gazed at the woman in white not far away, with an indescribable feeling in his heart.

For himself, this second life was merely the blink of an eye but for Bai Ruxue, this was three thousand years of waiting.

”I, Iʼm called Xiao Mo,” Xiao Mo slowly spoke, ”The ʼxiaoʼ from ʼbleak and desolate,ʼ the ʼmoʼ from ink, itʼs the name Grandfather Village Chief gave me.”

Hearing the little boy say his name, Bai Ruxueʼs eyes trembled slightly, and her small hands beneath her long sleeves couldnʼt help but clench but quickly, Bai Ruxue regained her composure, ”Xiao Mo, what a beautiful name.”

”Thank you for the praise, Big Sister. Is there something you need?”

”Nothing much really.” Bai Ruxue shook her head, ”Big Sister was just passing through here and got a little thirsty. Could I ask you for some water to drink?”

”Of course, Big Sister, please wait a moment.”

Xiao Mo acted like an enthusiastic child, quickly running back into the house, drawing a bowl of water from the water jar, and carefully carrying it to Bai Ruxue, ”Sister, please drink some water.”
”Mm, thank you, little brother.” Bai Ruxue took the clay bowl and sipped the clear water in small mouthfuls.

After finishing, Bai Ruxue handed the bowl back to Xiao Mo, ”Little brother, could Sister sit inside for a while? Sister has walked so far and hasnʼt had anywhere to rest.”

”Of course, Sister.”

Xiao Mo opened the bamboo fence, allowing Bai Ruxue to enter the courtyard.

”Sister, please sit wherever youʼd like. Since Sister has walked so far, you must be tired. Let me get you something to eat.”

Xiao Mo ran into the kitchen again and brought out the sesame flatbread that Aunt Niu had given him the day before yesterday.

Actually, in Xiao Moʼs heart, he already had some suspicions.

It was very likely because of that Three Lives Array that Ruxue knew he had been reincarnated, and had even pinpointed his location.

Otherwise, how could Ruxue have so coincidentally come to this fishing village and found him so precisely?

And as an Immortal realm Demon Empress, why would she ask a small child for water to drink?

”Sister, this flatbread was made by Aunt Niu, itʼs very delicious.”

Xiao Mo held up the sesame flatbread in his hand, still wrapped in oil paper.

”Thank you, little brother.” Bai Ruxue didnʼt refuse, taking the sesame flatbread from the little boyʼs hands, breaking off half, and handing it back to him, ”Sister canʼt eat so much, letʼs eat together.”

”Mm.”

Xiao Mo sat beside Bai Ruxue, and the big one and little one ate the dry flatbread with cool water.

”Little brother Xiao Mo, do you live here alone?” Bai Ruxue looked gently at the little boy beside her.

”Yes, Sister.” Xiao Mo nodded.

”Then where are your parents?” Bai Ruxue asked again.

”My parents have passed away,” Xiao Mo lowered his head, ”When I was five years old, Mother and Father went out to sea to fish, but they encountered a tsunami.”

”Little brother, Iʼm sorry, I made you think of something sad.” Bai Ruxueʼs voice carried deep apology.

”Itʼs alright, Big Sister.” Xiao Mo lifted his head and shook it, looking very strong, ”Aunt Niu and Uncle Xiao are all very good to me, and the Village Chief also cares about me. Sometimes when I help the uncles and aunts with some tasks, they give me payment, enough to support myself.”

”I see.” Bai Ruxue reached out and ruffled the little oneʼs head, her eyes showing a hint of heartache.

”What about you, Big Sister? Where do you come from? Where are you going?” Xiao Mo changed the topic and asked curiously.

”As for Sister...”

Bai Ruxue held the flatbread in her hands and looked up at the azure sky.

”Sister comes from a very, very far place. As for where Iʼm going, Sister doesnʼt know either, because Sister has been searching for someone all these years.”

Xiao Moʼs eyes moved slightly, but he quickly suppressed the emotions in his heart and asked with childlike innocence, ”Is that person very important to Sister?”

”Mm.” Bai Ruxue nodded without the slightest hesitation, ”Very important, more important than Sisterʼs own life.”

Xiao Mo tilted his head, ”Then Sister, have you found him?”

Bai Ruxue turned her head and looked gently at Xiao Mo, her eyes curving, extending a pale tender finger to lightly tap Xiao Moʼs nose, ”You guess.”

Xiao Mo: ”...”

”Iʼm full.”

Bai Ruxue finished the flatbread in her hands and stood up, crossing her hands and raising them above her head, standing on her tiptoes and stretching, her white dress clinging to the womanʼs undulating curves.

”Little brother, I think this place is quite nice. Sister has been wanting to find somewhere to rest lately. Since you live alone, little brother, could Sister temporarily live with you for a while?” Bai Ruxue asked Xiao Mo.

In the girlʼs peach blossom eyes was a pleading that was hard to refuse.

”Eh? Big Sister wants to live with me?” Xiao Mo asked in surprise.

”Is that not okay?” Bai Ruxueʼs eyes flickered with hints of disappointment, ”Sister is very capable. I can wash clothes, cook, and with Sister here, the two of us could catch lots and lots of fish.”

”This...” Xiao Moʼs eyes moved, his expression showing some hesitation.

Bai Ruxue gently smoothed her dress and crouched down, her tone pitiful, ”Little brother, Sister really has nowhere else to go. Canʼt you really take Sister in? Would little brother really have the heart to let Sister wander the streets?”

”Then, then alright...”

After hesitating and struggling for quite a while, Xiao Mo seemed to reluctantly agree.

”Since Sister has said so much, then Sister can stay here. But this place of mine is very shabby, I hope Sister wonʼt mind.”

”I wonʼt mind. Little brother, just your agreeing to let Sister stay makes Sister very happy.” Bai Ruxue reached out again to pat Xiao Moʼs head, ”From now on, you can call me White Sister. As for Sister, Iʼll call you Little Mo. In the future, Little Mo mustnʼt find Sister annoying.”

”I wonʼt.” Xiao Mo shook his head very seriously.

”Hehehehe...”

Bai Ruxue laughed cheerfully, her voice very pure, like the sound of a blown conch shell.

”Little Mo, you gave Sister water to drink, food to eat, and let Sister stay here, so Sister must give you some reward.”

Bai Ruxue lowered her head, brushing aside her silver-white hair, using both hands to untie the red string around her neck, gently drawing the pendant from her high neckline.

Bai Ruxue opened Xiao Moʼs palm and placed the pendant in his palm.

The pendant still carried traces of warmth from the womanʼs body.

“Little Mo, this snake scale pendant is for you. You must take good care of it.”

“Donʼt lose it, okay?”
