The Quest for Immortality

Mo Hua’s purpose for this trip was simple.

It was to persuade Lugu to take action himself and burn the corpse of his brother, Sishen.

So that dust returns to dust, earth returns to earth, and all karma will be resolved.

Others cannot burn it.

Firstly, Lugu does not allow it.

Secondly, only Lugu, in the Late Golden Core Stage, can use Pill Fire to swiftly burn Sishen.

Others lack the cultivation to burn Sishen at all.

But now it seems that Lugu is very stubborn, with a firm attitude, not easily persuaded with a few words.

Mo Hua glanced at Lugu, then at the person beside him, bound by iron locks, half-kneeling on the ground, large and imposing like an Evil Ghost Shura, emitting an overwhelming aura — Sishen’s corpse, and a thought suddenly stirred in his mind.

Mo Hua’s eyes flashed slightly, saying: ”It doesn’t have to be burned.”

Lugu was taken aback, ”Not burned?”

Mo Hua nodded slightly, ”Since you don’t want to burn it, then don’t burn it, but burial isn’t safe...”

Lugu frowned, ”Then...”

Mo Hua said: ”Take it on the road.”

Lugu’s expression was unconsciously a bit stunned.

For him, this was already the best choice, even surprisingly good to the point of being somewhat unbelievable.

”Can we really do that?” Lugu confirmed.

Regarding other matters, he wouldn’t seek Mo Hua’s opinion.

But concerning the sinister ”rebirth” of Sishen, he must heed Mo Hua, the ”Shaman”’s words.

Mo Hua nodded and then said: ”However, there’s one thing I must clarify with you beforehand...”

Mo Hua paused, glanced at Lugu, and slowly said:

”If Sishen’s corpse is burned now, his karma will be resolved, leading to a clean death thereafter.”

”But if not burned, a trace of karma remains. Whether this karma is good or bad, and what your brother will transform into later, no one can say for certain.”

”I am not just making an alarming statement. Consider it carefully. Should it be burned or left?”

Mo Hua’s voice was calm, but his tone was solemn.

Lugu, not knowing why, felt unusually heavy-hearted, as if a destiny-like decision suddenly lay before him.

After contemplating for a moment, he resolutely said: ”My brother’s body cannot be burned, I will take it on the road.”

Mo Hua sighed lightly in his heart, nodded, ”Alright.”

After that, Mo Hua said nothing more, turned around, and left.

The next day, Mo Hua ordered people to chop down not yet withered trees to make a wooden coffin and placed Sishen’s enormous corpse inside.

Mo Hua drew some formations on the coffin’s exterior.

These formations couldn’t prevent Sishen from ”changing”, only served to preserve the corpse, isolate Blood Qi, and prevent others from spying with their Divine Sense. .

Thus, the affairs of the Sibone Tribe were temporarily concluded.

Afterwards, everyone set out on their journey.

The famine rampant, corpses laying everywhere, the future unpredictable; now unable to go to Danque Tribe, and with the sibling Tribe annihilated, for a time, they did not know where to head.

But staying here was no longer possible.

Mo Hua surveyed the surroundings, pinched his fingers to roughly determine a direction without ”dire omens”, then said: ”Let’s go.”

A throng of barbarian soldiers set out grandly once again.

However, this time they also carried a gigantic coffin, inside which sealed a Barbarian Tribe General, a Late Golden Core Stage expert.

...

Having traveled thus for two days, they reached a barren forest where everyone stopped temporarily to rest.

Mo Hua finally found some free time.

Finding a tranquil place, he used formations to seal the surroundings, then immersed his Divine Sense into the Sea of Consciousness, preparing to formally begin devouring the Evil God of the Sibone Tribe to enhance his own Divine Sense...
