The Quest for Immortality

Elder Master Xun officially lifted Mo Hua’s confinement.

Mo Hua was liberated.

He no longer needed to be trapped within the Qian Learning State Boundary, playing with the ”Junior Brothers” in the sect every day. From now on, like a fish returning to the sea, a Little Tiger returning to the forest, the sky was high, the seas vast, and it was a whole new world.

A smile that couldn’t be suppressed overflowed on Mo Hua’s face.

”Thank you, Elder!”

Elder Master Xun, unable to help himself, shook his head at the sight of Mo Hua’s beaming appearance and advised:

”Be careful, and whatever you do, do not slack on the Formations.”

”Uh-huh, rest assured, Elder!”

Mo Hua nodded repeatedly in assurance.

After bidding farewell to Elder Master Xun, Mo Hua returned to the Disciple’s Residence, still feeling a bit elated in his heart.

”Finally, I can go out...”

He had been confined in the Qianxue State for too long; he almost forgot what the outside was like.

Now that he had the rare chance to go out, he had to plan well.

Mo Hua silently calculated in his mind.

First of all, he had to figure out a way to enhance his Divine Sense further.

Although his Divine Sense, with a total of Nineteen Patterns, was already very strong, it was clearly still far from enough.

Since he needed to Prove the Dao with his Divine Sense, the stronger his Divine Sense, the better.

With a strong Divine Sense, he could learn those more advanced Formations.

Moreover, this was also Elder Master Xun’s plan.

When Elder Master Xun said this, he seemed somewhat serious, with hope in his eyes, suggesting there was something significant.

Although stern, Elder Master Xun had an upright heart, and whatever weighed on his mind should also be related to the Sect.

Being a disciple of the Taixu Sect, Mo Hua had received great care from the Elder over the years.

There were times when Mo Hua felt that Elder Master Xun was a bit partial to him. .

”A drop of kindness should be repaid with a fountain of gratitude.” .

This was something his mother had taught him since he was a child.

Mo Hua nodded.

Since Elder Master Xun hoped that his Divine Sense could be ”a bit stronger,” he decided to work hard to achieve that ”bit” of improvement.

He must not let Elder Master Xun down.

And in the short term, to make his Divine Sense a bit stronger...

It seemed he could only visit an altar to ”order a dish.”

”The Evil God’s altar...”

Mo Hua pondered silently.

The only clue he currently knew regarding the altar was ”Water Yama.”

The culprit of the Yu Family’s water village extinction case, replacing the vanished Demon Head, Fire Buddha on the Blood List

Water Yama.

The Evil God preached bloodily and cruelly, inevitably accompanied by large-scale slaughter and even the tragic extinction of entire families.

Wherever there was extinction, there must be an altar.

The location of this altar was definitely known to Water Yama.

Mo Hua thought to himself:

”We cannot let the Evil God spread any further. We cannot allow their henchmen to continue their wanton slaughter. Otherwise, countless cultivators around the Qian Learning State Boundary will fall victim to their evil deeds...”

Being a disciple of the Taixu Sect, one of the Eight Great Gates of the Qian Learning State Boundary, he was a Righteous Cultivator, naturally responsible for exterminating demons and removing evil spirits.

Of course, having undertaken such arduous work himself.

Afterwards, it’s only right to ”order a dish” and reward himself!

Mo Hua nodded confidently.

Eliminate the Evil God’s henchmen, destroy the altar, swallow evil spirits, and nourish one’s Divine Sense.

”Once the Divine Sense is a bit stronger, try practicing the true Divine Thought into Sword art to see if the Sword Intent can be externalized...”

Moreover, taking time to visit his old friend, Lord Yellow Mountain.

Thinking about Lord Yellow Mountain, Mo Hua couldn’t help but sigh.

”It’s been so long since I last visited him; I wonder if Lord Yellow Mountain misses me...”

As a downcast Mountain God, he lived in a dilapidated temple, rain leaking from the roof and wind through the walls, eating stale buns and drinking water from uncertain sources daily, without incense offerings, his days were truly bleak.

Mo Hua sighed in his heart.

Who else but him has a heart so kind, always thinking of visiting him...?

Previously confined, he had no way, but now that he was free, it was only natural to visit the old friend and ask him for other clues about the Divine Thought into Sword.

Having gone through some experiences, Mo Hua gained some insights and understanding in the knowledge of the Divine Way, which he meant to verify with this Mountain God, Lord Yellow Mountain.

But there’s no time now.

Wait until after the New Year...

Mo Hua decided inwardly.

...

Unknowingly, another year was about to pass.

In ten days, it would be the New Year festival.

And at the end of the year, naturally, it was time for the Sect’s examination.

Previously, Mo Hua had stayed in the Valley of Ten Thousand Demons for a long time.

Consuming too many Demon Wraiths, his Divine Sense had some minor issues, and he had to recuperate in the Pill Room for a few days.

Altogether, it took about ten days.

Among the fellow disciples, it was easy enough to gloss over.

Mo Hua used the excuse taught by Elder Master Xun, claiming he was ordered by the Elders to go out and draw Formations.

This was not unheard of before.

Every time he took leave, it was mostly for this reason.

Cheng Mo and Situ Jian didn’t suspect a thing, only lamenting how their Junior Brother’s status in the Sect was truly unusual.

The Elders actually allowed him over ten days of leave.

But in those ten odd days, quite a bit of work was missed.

Mo Hua had no choice but to study day and night to catch up on his coursework.

Even at night, he was in front of the Taoist Stele, reviewing some courses on Tao Cultivation.

Soon, it was time for the Sect examination.

After the exam, results came out.

The joys and sorrows among disciples varied.

Despite all his hard work, Mo Hua managed to maintain his ”Grade A and Grade C” results.

If he had slackened even a bit during this period, he might not have been able to keep even a ”Grade C” in courses like Artifact Refining and Alchemy.

Fortunately, his efforts paid off.

As for the ”Grade A” in Formations, needless to say.

With his current level in Formations, within the Sect, even if he missed a few days or years, he would still achieve a ”Grade A.”
