Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife

Chapter 291

~ GREAT AMBITION ~

“Mother once said that it was from an ancient poem, Feng Guiyun . ‘Seeing Yuyi at the edge of the golden fence . Hanging cold branches on the sycamore tree . ’ It is what Mother wishes for me . ”

“That’s right . Mother wished for you to be as noble and beautiful as a phoenix . You already have beauty, and it’s beyond anyone can match . The only thing that is lacking is nobility . ” The Eldest Madam’s eyes held a deeper meaning . “In the eyes of others, the legitimate daughter of the scholar’s family is noble enough . But in the eyes of those true nobles, she was only a servant of some status . Mother wishes for you to be a master, an incomparably noble master!”

“Mother?” Su Yuyi’s body trembled . It was the first time she had heard such words . There were an unease and an indescribable excitement in her heart, causing her back to feel hot . “Mother, you want me to transform into a real phoenix?”

“That’s right, a real Phoenix, the mother of a nation!” When the Eldest Madam said the last words, her eyes suddenly lit up with excitement, “Yuyi, with a face like yours, you were born with a higher status than others . No matter what, you will be able to obtain it easily . Therefore, you can walk far away . You don’t need to care about Mu Yunyao . When you stand at the top, you will realize that she’s just an ant that can be casually crushed . You even only need to frown slightly to find someone to help you remove this eyesore!”

“Mother …” Su Yuyi took a deep breath and suppressed her heart that was about to jump out . “I . . . I don’t know if I can do it . ”

The Eldest Madam snickered her lips and smiled, “You can do it! Your father and I have been planning so hard for so long merely to push you up . You saw the Third Prince today . What do you think of him?”

Thinking of the handsome Jin Wang, Su Yuyi couldn’t help but blush and lower her head slightly, “His Royal Highness Third Prince is naturally excellent . ”
The Eldest Madam smiled knowingly, “That’s good . Now you’ve come to the front of the people . Mother has to tell you a lot of things . Your father and I have chosen the third prince, Jin Wang as your marriage candidate . ”

“But the Third Prince’s background isn’t good, could it be … . ”

“Although the Third Prince’s mother was born into a lowly background, she has now become an Imperial Concubine . Heroes aren’t asked where they come from, and since ancient times, battles have only depended on the outcome, and it’s wishful thinking if she didn’t get in that position . But, once she got into that position, she will be filled with courage and determination . What does her current birth count as?” The Eldest Madam said she did not care at all, “Yuyi, your path is different . You are destined to have a different vision than others . When the ancestors were establishing Dali Dynasty, Ancestor Gao had hoped that each generation of emperors would be taken over by their first son . You can see that now Dali Dynasty has experienced nine generations of emperors, But, none of them was their first son, so birth is nothing at all . ”

Su Yuyi nodded his head: “That’s true . Look at the current Fourth Prince, His Royal Highness Yue Wang . She is the legitimate son of the previous Empress, and she comes from a noble family . So what if she is of noble birth? He hasn’t been sent to the bitter and cold border areas like Western Guangdong . It’s good if he can come back once a year . The Emperor didn’t put him in his eyes at all . He had already denied the possibility of inheriting the throne even before he started fighting . ”

The Eldest Madam nodded with satisfaction: “That’s what I’m talking about before . You can understand it, so Mother feels very relieved . ”

When she thought of the Third Prince, Jin Wang, Su Yuyi couldn’t help but think of the scene when Mu Yunyao faced Jin Wang today . “Mother, His Highness Jin Wang is highly regarded by the Emperor and has repeatedly performed miraculous achievements . Even amongst commoners, he is still praised for his good name . If you and Father think he is good, there must be others who also think he is good . In this case, will His Royal Highness choose me?”

“Yuyi, your beauty is the sharpest weapon in your hands . It can help you cut through everything along the way . Just which guy in the world was bad? And who in this world can be more beautiful than you?”

Su Yuyi’s face turned red . She then lowered her head and said, “Mother, I understand . You can rest assured . I will not let you and Father down . ”

“Good, my daughter will definitely fulfill this great ambition . Your father, I, and the entire Su family will spare no effort to support you!”

The next day, Mu Yunyao went to pay her respects to the Old Madam . Mu Yunyao initially thought that Su Yuyi, who had her limelight stolen yesterday, would not be able to calm down . Unexpectedly, the other party was more well behaved and even looked at her with a kind of arrogance and disdain .

The Mid-Autumn Festival would be held in three days . The Old Madam had specially called everyone to come over to give them an early warning .

“Yuyi, in another two days, the Mid Autumn Palace’s banquet will be held . Have you finished preparing everything?”

Su Yuyi quickly stepped forward and replied, “ rest assured, Grandmother . Mother is already prepared . ”

The Old Madam nodded her head, her expression a little flat, “The Grand Princess’s status is different from the others, and her visions are not comparable to that of ordinary women . The most important thing is that the Emperor has always been respected and very fond of her, so you would rather not be brilliant than displease the Grand Princess . ”

Su Yuyi was taken aback for a moment . She disagrees with the Old Madam’s words, but she didn’t dare to retort, “Yes, Granddaughter understands . ”

The Old Madame looked at the Second Madam beside her . “You’er health is not good . She should forgo the palace banquet this time around . ”

“In reply to Mother, This daughter-in-law also thought the same . You’er’s body was already weak, to begin with, and the weather has also turned cold in the past two days . I was afraid that she provoked the taboo after entering the Palace, so she was not allowed to attend this Palace Banquet . ”

The Second Madam’s face was full of smiles . “But I only have one daughter, You’er . If I don’t bring her with me, then I will go to the banquet by myself . So I thought about whether or not I should bring Yunyao along . Yao’er’s personality is pretty clear, her manners are quite thorough, and she also just received a reward from the Emperor . So I think she can also go to the Palace Banquet . ”

Mu Yunyao, who was initially standing quietly next to Su Qing, couldn’t help but raise her head in surprise when she heard the Second Madam’s words and facing her smiling eyes .

The Old Madam muttered to herself for a moment, then slightly shook her head: “It’s a Palace Banquet after all . Yunyao just returned to the family, and I want her to accompany me at home . Yao’er, what do you think?”

Mu Yunyao’s eyes moved as she walked out and greeted the Old Madam with a smile, “Yao’er is naturally willing to accompany Grandmother . In the past, it was Eldest Cousin and the rest who offered you their filial piety, but now you have given me this opportunity . ”

“Alright . ” the Old Madam nodded in satisfaction, then looked at the Second Madam, “If you feel lonely when you enter the Palace alone, you can bring Yaxian, Yajing, or Yaling with you . ”

The Eldest Madam’s face immediately changed: “Mother, Yaxian, and the others are illegitimate daughter after all . Although our Su family has raised them quite well, in terms of status . . . ”

“Everyone has their own destiny . The Grand Princess Yi De is different from the others . In her eyes, she has never cared about the difference between the direct line of descent . It’s hard to say who can match her eyes . One more person will have more opportunities . ”

The Eldest Madam could not do anything but nod her head, but her heart was like swallowing a fly . “Yes . ”

On the other hand, Su Yaxian, Su Yajian, and the others who stood behind the Eldest Madam were overjoyed . They did not expect themselves to have the chance to enter the Palace for the Mid-Autumn Festival Banquet and immediately kowtowed to the Old Madam to express their gratitude .

“Alright, I’ve already given you my instructions . You all can go and get ready . ”

“Yes . ”
