Urban Powerhouse: Chaos Supreme

”Master Feng, who is this?” The man beside him showed a puzzled expression, sizing up Lin Mo and finding nothing particularly remarkable about him.

”This is the friend I was talking about, the one I was waiting for,” Master Feng spoke.

The young man shrugged his shoulders, somewhat curious. After all, Master Feng looked almost seventy years old, while Lin Mo appeared to be only about seventeen or eighteen. Could they really be friends?

”Alright, my dad is waiting for us. Let’s go back,” another woman with a frown said.

The woman was tall, dressed in a sleeveless top and shorts, exposing her fair skin. She was quite pretty, but she exuded an aura of unapproachability.

”Okay.” The young man nodded and then walked shoulder to shoulder with the woman towards the front.

Master Feng walked alongside Lin Mo, whom he asked about his circumstances.

It turned out that he had been in the valley for half a month. After he and Miao Xin fell off the cliff, Master Feng and Miao Zhu had waited a day and even captured a person to inquire, learning that the place was the rumored ’Death Forest,’ where almost no one could survive.

However, Master Feng and Miao Zhu didn’t leave but instead found a place to hide. Then they saw the Myanmar army deploy a large number of soldiers, and people from the Ghost Witch Sect also came, but no one dared to venture deep into the valley.

After those people had waited outside the valley for three days and were ’sure’ of Lin Mo and Miao Xin’s deaths, they finally left.

Master Feng and Miao Zhu also left the valley, but Master Feng didn’t believe Lin Mo had died, so he came to the nearest town and waited. Yet, after another week with no sign of Lin Mo, he felt somewhat dispirited.

Although Master Feng could use spells to understand the local language, he had no money and certainly couldn’t rob anyone. Fortunately, he met a merchant from Huaxia, helped cure his illness, and then followed them, so he didn’t have to worry about food and lodging.

The man and woman walking in front were named Yan Chengxue and Ji Haidan, children of two Huaxia merchants.

After understanding some of the situation, Master Feng finally looked at Lin Mo and asked, ”Mr. Lin, when will we go to Huaxia? It seems like there are wanted posters for you all over Myanmar. If we stay here, it might be very dangerous.”

Lin Mo, hands clasped behind his back, spoke calmly, ”No rush, I’m still planning to see the people of the Ghost Witch Clan.”

Hearing this, Master Feng showed a shocked expression on his face.

The Ghost Witch Sect was the most formidable sect among all the Witch Sects. Those in Huaxia who claimed to be from the ’Ghost Witch Sect’ were merely offshoots of the Ghost Witch Sect. In contrast, the real Ghost Witch Sect in Myanmar was a true sect, incomparably stronger than the other.

”Mr. Lin, I saw with my own eyes a very powerful Great Mage from the Ghost Witch Sect that day. Are we really going to the Ghost Witch Sect?” Master Feng asked nervously.

”How does that matter? If he dares to show up in front of me, I’ll just slaughter him,” Lin Mo said nonchalantly.

As he spoke, Lin Mo formed a long, sharp, golden Light Blade with his forefinger, gently slicing across the skin on his arm. Yet, before the blood could flow out, the cut began rapidly healing itself.

Master Feng, watching this, was even more astonished and then remembered. Originally, that expert from the Ghost Witch Sect had also dared not venture into the valley, whereas Lin Mo had calmly emerged from it and even advanced in strength. He must have gained some advantage there.

Having Master Lin, such an expert, by his side made Master Feng feel much more at ease.

As for Lin Mo wanting to find the people of the Ghost Witch Sect, he had two purposes. The first was, of course, to learn something about the ’Snow God Palace’ from the Ghost Witch Sect. He still hadn’t figured out why Xia Mengdie had gone there or why she suddenly forgot him.

The second purpose was even simpler; now that his cultivation needed massive resources, raiding the Ghost Witch Sect might further advance his cultivation.

Just as Lin Mo was thinking about this, he had already followed Yan Chengxue and Ji Haidan into the reception hall of a hotel. At the entrance stood two Myanmar soldiers armed with guns, clothed in military uniform.

Lin Mo slightly furrowed his brow; he had killed Moso, and the Myanmar army was actively searching for him.

Stepping into the private room, Lin Mo found it expansive, with several soldiers standing around. A middle-aged man in a military uniform sat there, knocking his legs together, a cigar clamped between his teeth, puffing clouds of smoke, while beside him sat an old man with a gloomy expression, his body pulsating with mana waves, clearly a magician who had just reached the Basic-level Martial God.

The Magic Master was from the Ghost Witch Sect, causing both Master Lin and Master Feng to frown simultaneously.

It seemed that the Ghost Witch Sect held a high standing throughout Myanmar, even collaborating with the military.

Besides these two, there was also a group of soldiers standing at their watch.

Across the sofa, sat several Huaxia people, all dressed in suits and leather shoes, clearly the attire of successful individuals.

”Dad, I’m back,” Ji Haidan approached a middle-aged man and spoke.

The man was Ji Tianyuan, Ji Haidan’s father.

Another middle-aged man was Yan Guming, Yan Chengxue’s father.

Both were businessmen from Huaxia who had set up several factories in Myanmar. After all, labor was much cheaper in Myanmar than back home, and the lower the labor cost, the higher the factory’s efficiency.

There also appeared to be a woman who looked like an interpreter, and a man wearing gold-wire glasses who was a lawyer.

”General Peng, if you insist on proceeding in this manner, I will file a lawsuit. Your actions completely violate your own country’s laws,” the lawyer adjusted his glasses and spoke.

Once the female interpreter relayed the message, the cigar-smoking general burst into laughter, spewing out a ring of smoke and revealing a ferocious expression, ”Discuss laws with me? I’ll talk to you about bullets. Either give me money or tear down the factory.”

Upon finishing his sentence, the soldiers standing behind him immediately unlocked their safeties, aiming their guns at the lawyer.

Seeing this, the lawyer’s face turned pale, and he quickly shut his mouth, then turned to Yan Guming and said, ”Boss Yan, these people are simply bandits; my words are completely useless here.”

This lawyer was well-known in Huaxia. Usually, if someone insulted him, he could pin a crime on their head, making them tremble with fear of being sued into bankruptcy. However, none of that worked in Myanmar.

This was a country riddled with warlords, and he, a foreigner, surely wouldn’t be taken seriously.

Both Yan Guming and Ji Tianyuan frowned tightly.

Although the Huaxia economy was rapidly developing, the competition was incredibly fierce. Their factories thrived in the Huaxia market because of low costs. If the factories were moved, labor costs would undeniably increase.

Yet, the conditions set by the other party were also outrageously demanding, as they wanted fifty percent of the factory’s profits.

”These people are truly insatiable,” Ji Haidan clenched her fists, anger evident on her youthful face.

Yan Guming and Ji Tianyuan knew this all too well but felt powerless, their faces filled with helplessness.

”We might as well move the factory, not let these people profit off us,” Yan Chengxue, young and impetuous, couldn’t help but say.

Just then, General Peng suddenly stood up, pulled out a handgun, and loaded it then and there. Seeing this, everyone’s faces stiffened again.

”I don’t have time to waste with you. Either agree to my terms, or I won’t let any of you leave here,” Peng Cai said coldly.

”Including me?”

At that moment, an unexpected voice rang out.

Yan Guming and Ji Tianyuan looked surprised at the speaker, a tall, stern-looking young man.
