Urban Powerhouse: Chaos Supreme

Master Feng pinched a talisman in his hand, and as it met the wind, it transformed into a golden shield, but when the blue knife light slashed over, the golden shield was instantly shattered into pieces.

Moreover, the speed of the blue knife light didn’t slow at all. Master Feng awkwardly performed a donkey roll to evade, while the chairs and table beside him were sliced cleanly into two.

Master Feng inhaled a breath of cold air, nearly wanting to cough up blood.

Lin Mo casually summoning Heavenly Thunder was one thing, but now facing two young women who were also magic experts left him in a ragged state, filling him with such frustration that he wanted to cough up blood. When did Huaxia have so many formidable young magicians?

”Return the item to us, and we can let you go,” Miao Xin said to Lin Mo.

The Purple Spirit Pearl in Miao Xin’s hand had already sensed that the Mo Yu Flower was on Lin Mo’s person. Lin Mo may seem like an ordinary person, but he must be in cahoots with Master Feng. Perhaps it was even Lin Mo who had directed Master Feng to steal the Mo Yu Flower from the Spiritual Medicine Garden.

”Sister, didn’t Master say we should take both the item and the person back?” Miao Zhu asked Miao Xin in surprise. Miao Xin bit her lip and frowned deeply. She knew her Master’s character well; if they brought the person back, their Master would definitely torture him to death, or even shatter his Divine Soul. That’s why she wanted to spare Lin Mo this one time, to just take the item back and, at worst, tell their Master that the person got away and accept some punishment herself.

It seemed Miao Zhu understood Miao Xin’s thoughts as well and couldn’t help but sigh. Shaking her head inwardly, she thought, ’Who would say Sister is heartless and ruthless? I think Sister is kinder than anyone. If we don’t take the person back, our Master might punish Sister with the Punishment God Whip.’

”Is this the thing you want?”

Lin Mo took out a black box from his bosom, handed it over to the other party, and watched Miao Xin unwaveringly.

That feeling of familiarity made him certain that the woman before him must be Meng Dieqin, though he didn’t know why she had forgotten him.

”This is the Mo Yu Flower,” Miao Xin said as she opened the box and saw what was inside. A trace of delight appeared on her face, but it quickly turned into a frown. ”Why is there only one petal? Where is the rest of the Mo Yu Flower?”

Both Miao Xin and Miao Zhu’s gazes turned chilly as they bore into Lin Mo.

Lin Mo now also understood that Miao Xin and Miao Zhu had been searching for the Mo Yu Flower all along. However, it appeared that the actual thief was Gongyang Zhi, who had already fled Bin Hai, leaving only this petal on his disciple Xiu Hongyi.

”I don’t know where the rest of the Mo Yu Flowers are. This petal was obtained from someone else,” Lin Mo said truthfully.

”Lies! Why would someone just give you the Mo Yu Flower, something so precious? If you weren’t acquainted with that thief, how would he have given it to you?” Miao Zhu said, her palm revealing a blue light sharp as a blade, ready to slash, capable of severing Lin Mo’s neck at a moment’s notice.

”Mr. Lin isn’t deceiving you. This petal truly isn’t his, but belongs to Xiu Hongyi,” Master Feng interjected, just having recovered from the shock.

Though he was unsure of the depths of these two women’s powers, so he referred to Master Lin as Mr. Lin. Besides, with Master Lin’s prowess, capable of summoning Heavenly Thunder with a mere hand gesture, he surely wouldn’t fear these two women. However, Master Feng didn’t understand why Master Lin hadn’t taken action.

”Xiu Hongyi?” Miao Xin’s willow leaf eyebrow raised with suspicion.

Master Feng recounted the whole story from start to finish, albeit glazing over the part about Lin Mo summoning Heavenly Thunder to kill Xiu Hongyi. It seemed as though Master Lin didn’t want to reveal his own strength.

Miao Xin and Miao Zhu suddenly came to a realization. Could it be that these two were not the culprits who stole the Mo Yu Flower?

”These two men are probably not the ones who stole the Mo Yu Flower; the real thief has likely left Bin Hai a long time ago,” Miao Xin said.

Miao Zhu frowned and said, ”Sister, maybe they fabricated the story to deceive us?”

Miao Xin shook her head. ”No, to be able to enter the Miao Xue Divine Palace’s Spiritual Medicine Garden and steal the Mo Yu Flower, then leave unscathed, one must possess the strength of at least the Foundation Establishment Stage. Those two, one is an ordinary person and the other is merely a common fighter, how could they have the strength to steal the Spiritual Medicine from the Miao Xue Divine Palace?”

Hearing the conversation between the two, Miao Zhu nodded in agreement, ”Sister makes sense, but what do we do now?”

”Gongyang Zhi seems to be from the Ghost Witch Sect. He left his disciple in Bin Hai and carried a petal of the Mo Yu Flower on him, likely intending to lure us away. He himself has probably long returned to the headquarters of the Ghost Witch Sect,” Miao Xin said with a worried look on her face.

The headquarters of the Ghost Witch Sect is located at the border of Thailand, Myanmar, and Yue Country, in an area beyond the jurisdiction of any one nation. They even control the local armed forces. If Gongyang Zhi has truly escaped back to the Witch Sect’s headquarters, then their chances of retrieving the Mo Yu Flower becomes even more difficult.

”That’s it then, we can only go back and accept our punishment, report this matter to our master, and let her decide,” Miao Zhu sighed, her face showing a hint of dread, as if she greatly feared her own master.

Miao Xin bit her silver teeth, her brows tightly knit, ”No, we haven’t completed our task, we absolutely cannot go back.”

”Sister, are you thinking of going to Thailand?” Miao Zhu’s eyes widened in disbelief.

”Mhm.”

Miao Xin nodded, determination shining in her eyes, yet within that resolute gaze, Lin Mo detected her helplessness.

Could it be that Meng Die had some troubles, hence she did not wish to return to the Miao Xue Divine Palace.

”Let’s go together, I want to go to Thailand, too,” Lin Mo suddenly spoke up.

Miao Zhu and Miao Xin both stared at him.

”How can you be so shameless? There’s no way my sister could like you. And now you want to join us on our trip to Thailand, like a toad lusting after swan meat,” Miao Zhu said bluntly.

In her view, Lin Mo must be fond of her sister and that’s why he wanted to accompany them to Thailand.

Lin Mo’s face showed a hint of helplessness; he then earnestly looked at Miao Xin and said, ”I’m sorry about what happened yesterday and today. You resemble my wife so much that I got a bit too excited, but I meant no harm.”

Hearing Lin Mo’s words, Miao Xin frowned slightly, glancing briefly at him. From his words, could it be that his wife resembled her, which was why he became so agitated?

”But what are you going to do in Thailand?” Miao Xin was still somewhat skeptical.

Master Feng quickly stepped in and said, ”Mr. Lin and I are going to Thailand to look for Gongyang Zhi too. Gongyang Zhi brutally killed my disciple, Aliang, and I want to seek revenge.”

Master Feng’s expression was one of anger, his emotion genuine, hardly seeming like a falsehood.

”But with your own strength, you think you can find Gongyang Zhi and take revenge?” Miao Zhu shook her head, evidently looking down on Master Feng.

Although the gap between their realms wasn’t huge, it was apparent that the Cultivation Techniques and strength of Miao Zhu and Miao Xin were several times stronger than Master Feng’s. This is the difference between members of a proper Sect and an ordinary Loose Cultivator.

”With the assistance of two fairies like yourselves, we will surely kill Gongyang Zhi and avenge my disciple,” said Master Feng, quite adept at flattering.

Miao Zhu showed a hint of pride on her face, ”Well, that’s more like it. Then let’s go to Thailand together.”
