Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 2363: Chapter 2363: No Third Path

”What kind of traitorous thieves dare to steal the Supreme Treasure of the Temple?”

Just when Ye Haochuan thought he was dead for sure, a powerful shout suddenly came through the space rift.

”Damn it, those Temple dogs came so quickly!”

Xie Feixing heard the voice, and his expression visibly tensed.

He glanced at Ye Haochuan, with regret in his eyes, and said begrudgingly, ”Kid, you’re lucky this time, but don’t rejoice too soon. I’ll come looking for you again!”

With that, he pointed a finger, and a beam of light shot from his fingertip, hitting Ye Haochuan.

Then he let go instantly and turned to flee for his life.

Ye Haochuan couldn’t dodge at all, and as he watched the light pass through him, he couldn’t help but feel a chill all over. He thought he was doomed this time.

But strangely, the light didn’t seem harmful; it just plunged into Ye Haochuan’s body and vanished.

”This isn’t a technique meant to kill? Could it be a tracking mark?”

Ye Haochuan didn’t know whether to be glad or sad.

Glad because Xie Feixing didn’t directly kill him; perhaps he thought dealing with a True Immortal ant was insignificant whether killed or not.

Sad because from now on, Xie Feixing could track him at will, and he’d always face the risk of pursuit and extermination, perhaps not living much longer.

”Fine, at worst I’ll stay in the South Sect. I refuse to believe that the Xie guy can come to the South Sect to kill me.”

Ye Haochuan consoled himself.

Though doing so would limit his ways to earn Contribution Points!

Darn it, how could someone be as unlucky as me?

Ye Haochuan grumbled, wishing he could curse Good Heavens.

However, beneath the roof, one must bow; Contribution Points can be earned slowly, but life is singular.

Without delay, Ye Haochuan dared not tarry any longer, quickly exiting the Minor World.

The terrifying Fury Flame Wasteland Sea had disappeared, replaced by an endless desert with scattered yellow stones.

Xie Feixing had run off somewhere unknown, and the people from the Temple must have pursued him.

Ye Haochuan harbored doubts; first, why was the Mystic Yellow Meteoric Flame, the Temple’s Supreme Treasure, abandoned here unguarded?

Secondly, about Xie Feixing’s actions, and his terms for the Temple people.

”Temple dogs,” those words showed Xie Feixing’s strong aversion to the Temple, and his overt theft of the Temple’s treasures seemed to indicate he wasn’t very reverent either!

Since arriving in the Immortal Realm, this was the first time Ye Haochuan heard of such blatant defiance against the Temple, the ruling force.

It seemed even in the Immortal Realm, the Temple’s influence didn’t subdue everyone!

”Damn it, Xie Feixing took the Mystic Yellow Meteoric Flame, making my run here all for naught!”

Ye Haochuan suddenly cursed angrily.

Watching the opportunity to enhance his flame power, enabling his Alchemy skills to achieve significant progress, vanish was truly maddening.

”Huh? Why is there still a flame?”

While angrily picking up the Desolate Fire Essence Stones scattered on the ground, Ye Haochuan was suddenly surprised and halting.

It was a pale yellow flame, clinging to a fist-sized Desolate Fire Essence Stone, looking very small and ready to extinguish any moment.

The flames in this desert were all remnants of the Mystic Yellow Meteoric Flame; they existed due to its heat diffusion.

After the Mystic Yellow Meteoric Flame vanished, these flames also disappeared.

Yet, this flame could continue to exist, which was indeed incredible.

”Judging by the flame’s color, it should be the Mystic Yellow Meteoric Flame, but could it be...”

Ye Haochuan’s eyes suddenly lit up, and he wore a hint of ecstatic joy.

He suppressed his impatience, tiptoeing over, seemingly afraid his large movements would extinguish the small flame.

This tiny flame was weak and fragile, but as Ye Haochuan approached, he felt a strong heat.

The more Ye Haochuan looked, the more delighted he became, slowly releasing his Flower Energy, attempting to envelop the weak flame.

Unexpectedly, his Flower Energy neared the flame, and was instantly sucked in, absorbed entirely as nourishment.

Nourished by the Flower Energy, the frail flame visibly grew fatter.

Oh crap, how could I forget, the Mystic Yellow Meteoric Flame can absorb Flower Energy to grow?

Ye Haochuan’s heart tightened, quickly retrieving his Flower Energy, and feeling unsure while watching the small flame.

Without Flower Energy, how could he subdue this Mystic Yellow Meteoric Flame?

Now when the flame was noticeably weak, it was his best chance. As the flame grew, he wouldn’t be able to approach, let alone talk of subduing it.

While he was in a dilemma, a voice suddenly emitted from within the flame.

”Help me!”

”What?”

Ye Haochuan thought he heard wrong; the flame speaking felt like an international joke.

”Help me escape. I don’t want to be imprisoned and controlled any longer! In return, I can offer you corresponding benefits!”

The flame’s voice was very weak, speaking intermittently.

Oh dear, the flame’s turned sentient; this Immortal Realm is indeed a place of limitless possibilities!

Ye Haochuan felt his knowledge still very shallow; there were too many bizarre things in this world.

Yet, thinking of it, Demon Beasts cultivating to a certain level can transform; a speaking flame isn’t incomprehensible!

With this thought, Ye Haochuan ceased pondering the issue, curiously asking, ”Weren’t you sealed in a jade bottle? How did you escape?”

”When those two attacked the tower seal, I knew they harbored ill intentions, so I separated my Primordial Spirit early and hid it; the one soaring to heaven was just my discarded shell!” Mystic Yellow Meteoric Flame explained.

Good heavens, not only does it speak, but also feigns appearances and covert maneuvering; its intelligence isn’t low!

Ye Haochuan couldn’t help but marvel.

”What if I help you recover, and you retaliate against me?” Ye Haochuan hesitated.

The story of the farmer and the snake, everyone knows.

If the flame just gained Spirit Wisdom, it’d be fine; simple-minded ones wouldn’t think of dishonesty.

But this Mystic Yellow Meteoric Flame evidently wasn’t low in Spirit Wisdom; Ye Haochuan didn’t want to be the farmer who rescues the snake, only to be bitten.

”I can make a Blood Oath...” Mystic Yellow Meteoric Flame said urgently.

”Come on, you’re a flame, don’t have any blood, what kind of Blood Oath can you make?” Ye Haochuan rebutted with a sneer.

”Then how do you want it?”

”It’s simple, become my subordinate, acknowledge me as your master, and naturally I’ll rescue you!” Ye Haochuan finally revealed his greed.

He originally came to acquire the Mystic Yellow Meteoric Flame, and now he had the chance; he wouldn’t easily give up.

Furthermore, it was the best assurance to prevent Mystic Yellow Meteoric Flame from harming him after recovery!

”Impossible!”

Mystic Yellow Meteoric Flame resolutely stated, ”Being someone else’s accessory, I’d rather be sealed here, at least preserving my final dignity.”

Oh dear, even a flame’s discussing dignity now; this world truly is crazy!

Ye Haochuan wickedly smiled, ”Unfortunately, you have no choice left, submit or perish. You can only pick one, there is no third path.”
